that's how i see it, i'd rather pay for water and know that the waiters aren't forced to be nice to me because they depend on tips and expect you to tip a lot, the waiters have to get their wages so it's okay to pay money for water and you don't get tap water but good water. I have never had unfriendly service in a restaurant. Many people go through red lights or Jaywalking - I see enough of them every day and I don't think it's a problem as long as there are no children present. Not every public toilet has to be paid for, if you are in a shopping centre they are usually free (I haven't seen one where you have to pay yet), there is a sign that it would be great if you paid something (usually 50 - 70 cents) but they don't rip your head off if you don't do it, you just do it because they keep the toilet clean all day. I moved to Berlin in 1972 just before the dinosaurs became extinct. I agree with almost all of the points made in this video except I've almost never been asked to remove my shoes when I visit someone & I love to jaywalk when facing an empty street. When the Germans complain I just tell them I'll never be run over by a traffic light. I do understand the problem with children, but parents should always tell their children to check the cars before crossing on the green pedestrian light because some drivers will still rush across the street just after the traffic light turns red or veer unexpectedly round a corner. And after the pedestrian light has turned red but the cars are still waiting at an intersection, then one still shouldn't cross the street because the moment the traffic light turns green the motorists will mow down anything in their way.

1. As someone who lives in Saudi I will confirm this, it's ILLEGAL and Prohibeted to take photos of others faces. ( and bodies mainly faces ) 2. They're 5 prayer times per day when Muslims go to Mosques and basically the country shuts down for 5 minutes , but on fridays there is a 30 minute prayer to watch out for ( school days are Sunday - Thursday ) 3. I am a half-german and frequently switch between germany and the netherlands and the fact that in both countries public free restrooms are such a rarity is one of the dumbest things of these countries. You either pay or pee your pants and maybe even get fined for urinating in public. Like what do they expect us to do? Hold it till our bladder ruptures?
