This video is to give a generic idea to non-potters on how we do pottery at home. This is not a tutorial but merely a compilation of many steps to come up with a mug that will eventually find a new home.

Can you please share the link for the product?
I think you are better off making your own glazes. I don't like any of this.
Beautiful work! For the first planter, maybe try putting over the aurora green honey flux. It gave me a beautiful turquoise green. Thanks for sharing all your glaze combination❤
Very nice thank you for sharing
You are so inspiring!!! Thank you
Do I have this right? You are putting glazes that are not food-safe on vessels that look like glasses to drink from. I consider that a bad idea. 2. I don't find the glazes attractive. They remind me of something moldy or damaged.
They are all test vessels they are clearly marked and never leave the studio. We have a shelf that all test pieces go so we can refer back to them.
Nice combinations!
What was this fired at?
cone 6
Always a delight to watch your openings. I've used a number of your combs with great success. Thanks.
What clay do you use?
These Glazes all run. Not safe for electric Kiln
The beautiful planter you showed with the iron luster, and copper float - what was the name of the Blue you used? Closed captions said Blue Rootel ...??
Iron Lustre, Sapphire Float and Blue Rutile all from AMACO
I can not believe the cordovan combo!! It’s absolutely spectacular!!! Thank you sooo much for sharing all of your work.
Great combos! I love that sangria and pearl with the birch/cordovan. Very nice! Wonder where that blue comes from isn't glazing so amazing sometimes?😍
Could I put wax resist around the bottom of the mug, to stop the glazing dripping too far?
Brilliant work. Love it all.
Yeah that combo is amazing!
They are all gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing! I want to try the Cordovan, birch and sangria combo.
that is my new fave combo
thank you for sharing! always love your combinations! The birch, cordovan, shangria is amazing with the bleu!
Love the birch cordovan combos
What is the height of your mugs , do you pull your handles ?
extruded handles
What is the height ?
around 5.5 inches tall or more when wet
Gorgeous
That platter! ❤️
Love the birch cordovan combo always! The blue rutile on top makes it even more gorgeous ❤️
I’m wondering how you glaze that center on the bottom and it doesn’t stick to your shelves? You have some beautiful combos!
If the mug wasn’t curvy would it have the same effect
Probably the same effect but got to be careful since it will run more.
thank you lovely work
So beautifully! You get such good results. What cone do you fire to and do you use a slow cool kiln program ? Thanks you so much !
Hi, thank you! I program for a cone 5 slow cool but my kiln is rather new so it fires hot. This load got to a cone 6.
Wonderfully! Could you please make a video how you are creating these amazing mugs, the whole process, from clay to glasing process..
Thanks so much for your clear and detailed explanations of your glazing! I appreciate you sharing your amazing results…always impressed with your Birch and Cordovan combo…mine never looks that amazing!
Thank you and I love your kiln openings too.

ello just sending an text in regards to a question is the oatmeal over the iron luster glaze combination drink / food safe alongside is the ruteal blue drink / food safe too
Beautiful glazing.
😢😢😮😢Love 0:00 😅 but 😮 t😮w😢😂
😮
You always have such impressive glaze combinations!! I absolutely love the platter!!
The platter is gorgeous! I love the Birch combination too.
Your glaze combination are great. I am going to try some of them,
Love your glaze combos,so FYI, I believe that the satin patina is not food safe and should not be used inside that mug.
I am aware and never used it inside of my mugs. I use it on flower vases.
You say you’re not good at adding a foot. The foot on your platter looks excellent and the trick on those long platters is keeping them from warping. You did a great job. Thanks for all you share and how clearly you share your techniques. I’ve gotten so much useful info from you.
I lost many platters due to warping😄😀. Thanks for watching.
Love all your videos great glazing thanks for sharing
thank you
Love the glaze combinations! Thanks for sharing!❤
thank you
Great kiln opening! I love how your cordovan/birch combos turn out, do you just do solid coats or are there some uneven stripes?
just solid and even coats
It’s always a festive day when your video is coming out, thank you🎉. Can I ask: was it an intentional “normal” cone 6 instead of a hot cone 6? And when you fire what is the speed the kiln to fire? I mean how much Celsius or F per hour? I have a new kiln, so far I fired only bisque :)
We use a Skutt Kiln in which we just program it to a cone 6 but if we want it to go to a hotter cone 6 we would add a 7 minutes hold. We use the medium speed. Getting similar glaze results would be sometimes different due to many factors such as clay body, how you apply the glaze, temperature of firing etc. It takes a lot of testing to finally figure out what works.
Thank you so much!
Glad to see you again love these openings and your sharing is so kind 😊
thank you
I love your kiln openings and really appreciated hearing how you glazed all the pieces. They’re beautiful!
thanks, happy to share
Hi... Is the your mixes of Obsidian and snow or from Amaco.... What do you do with the mixed glazes that have fallen into the catching bucket ??
Yes they are from Amaco, I use it for the inside of the mug.
Love your glaze combinations
Gorgeous again
Absolutely beautiful pieces, as always.
