for $3600 you gan get an actal trip to Bora Bora. Bring in your laptop and enjoy the same thing but with a better resolution!
Thanks for a job well done with the beta preview.
Great video thank you for the share! Excited for 2.0 now
Hi, how you download the accsoon see app on the vision pro ?
You will need to search for it under the iPad and iPhone tab in the App Store. As it's not in the Vision Pro native apps section.
@@RyanPeterson-5053 thank you for reply, but i can't see it in the tab ipad iphone too :/ But ty again :)
Ok purchased the ShadowCast Pro 2. I didn’t understand I had to have screen capture running. So I downloaded OBD2. I got it working but the colors are very washed out. I tried changing settings on OBD2 but didn’t seem to affect anything. I’m using the Preview screen to get it full screen. Do you or anyone else know how to get better colors so they aren’t so washed out? I may very well be setting this up wrong. Some step by step instructions would be good. What capture software are you using in this video? I’m using my MacBook Pro M1. Thanks!
So I used the Genki Arcade app. It is going to give you the cleanest picture. I am not sure what OBD2 is, unless you meant OBS. If you did, I would recommend that. Then you could capture the window for Genki Arcade and stream that. Now, if your not streaming, just stick with the Genki app. Steps So Device to Shadow cast 2 Pro HDMI in USBC/Thunderbolt cable to Macbook Open Genki app and you should be good to go. If you are running OBS, I would google how to capture an application from OBS on a MacBook Pro. Its pretty straight-forward, but you will have to set up the sources. Which it should say if you click the + button in that tab MacOS capture screen. Or something like that. Anyway, I hope this helps. Also, the screen capture you were seeing in this video was coming from the Vision Pro
Thanks got the Genki app. It is a little better. Yes I meant OBS.
Glad to hear it. I also just remembered that I had some quality issues with certain HDMI cables and docks for the switch. Not sure if you're running a high speed 2.1 cable or not. But if I remember correctly I was using those in the video. I have this one amzn.to/4bR4p0S and then I used the ones that came with the Xbox and or PS5.
Thanks. I was using the one that came with the ShadowCast Pro2 but switched to a know good HDMI cable. Looking better!
Update in case others are trying this. I found out why my videos look washed out. The M1 MacBook does not support HDR. While the ShadowCast 2 Pro does support HDR my laptop doesn’t.
This is close to what I want but I want to be able to directly run my Switch to the Apple VP
I mean, you might be able to do that if you have a dev strap. I don't, but I would love to try it out and see if it would work.
Do you need a license to operate the avata 2?
You do not need a license to operate the Avata2 unless you plan on flying it commercially or for anything that you could get money off of, and that would be under the Part 107 certificate. However, to fly a drone as a hobbyist, you are required by the FAA to take the Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). You are also required to follow the FAA's recreational model aircraft rules. Also, you must register your drones with the FAA if they weigh more than 0.55 pounds or (250 grams). That is like $5, so its not bad.
do u think 8GB RAM on the base macbook air is enough for daily use
Good content man, i'll keep seeing your Insta One and drone videos. Greetings from Spain
I would caution against never taking it off, because if an abrasive particle of dust gets between the glass protector, and the laminated Vision Pro glass, then dust itself could cause scratching. it might be reasonable to take it off periodically and microfiber clean both parts to prevent that. Just looking out.
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!
Hey Ryan Peterson: Does it work with cable or only remote for now? I use Immersed on Quest 3, but I use it connected with a USBC cable to reduce latency and was wondering if the same is possible on Vision Pro (maybe using the vision pro developer strap?)
It does have an option in the desktop client that is in beta for use with the Apple Dev Strap. I unfortunately do not have one to test but would love to if I can ever get my hands on one
@@RyanPeterson-5053 thanks!
Can you power this with an Anker 737 bank and use while charging?
You should be able to, as DJI states in their Q&A section that you can charge it while using it. I believe even the RS3 Pro could run off of a battery bank.
"24gig model" ????? "512gig of ram"???? 🤯🤯🤯🤯
How much did you pay for the Best Buy warranty? I’m seeing that it cost $350. DJI Care Refresh cost $100 for the same 2 year coverage.
I actually purchased the My Best Buy Total subscription. It was $180, but it gave me two years of Best Buy protection on pretty much every purchase. It also gives you two years of AppleCare on all your Apple purchases through them. So, I already have it covering four products, which would have cost way more than $200 if I had bought coverage for each one individually. If you are only purchasing the drone, it is not worth it, as its yearly cost is $180, so Care Refresh is a lot cheaper. But if you plan on buying other stuff through them it has its perks.
I am planning to buy this device with these specs but in silver color, and this video was very helpful for me as a developer to know the limitations. Thanks.
Glad I could help!
subscribed!
Just a heads up: MAC dock placement is weird... When you set your dock to one of the borders, it will always push as far as it can... That's why it snapped to the window to the bottom (that was placed on the left)... I never really liked, because it changes the position depending on your work configuration. Anyway, nice review... Can't wait to put my hands on a Vision Pro...
Appreciate this! Mine is arriving in a couple days and can’t wait to try this bad boy.
Excellent video! I loved it, you have one more subscriber, I'm between this MacBook and the MacBook Pro, I really don't know which one to choose, I love how flat the air is, do you think there is a lot of difference between the pro and this in terms of power? Do you think that with this MacBook Air with 16 of ram it can have an instance of Xcode, another of Android studio, visual studio code and some tabs in chrome without problems? Thanks
I am really glad to hear it! I have not tried the new M3 Pro's, so they might be a bit faster. However, my current M2 Pro 16GB runs pretty much everything that your talking about. I run Mutilpe VScode Windows, Docker, Safari, and Chrome with multiple tabs open, and I have had Xcode open as well, along with three messaging apps and more. When I was testing the M3 Air, it handled the same number of apps with no problem. I really think that unless you get a higher-end Pro model, the air is more than capable when compared to the base model of the MackBook Pro's.
Thank you very much for the answer! I was really looking for a replacement equipment (Since I already have a windows with an i9 and a 4070) and I wanted to buy a MacBook, really thank you very much for your video and all the excellent content you do!
Thank you for sharing
When can we download this app on the Appstore?
They have submitted the app to Apple and are just waiting for them to approve it. It was supposed to be at the end of last week. But they had to resubmit it and are still working with Apple to get it approved.
@@RyanPeterson-5053 Thank you for your quick response, Ryan. I can't wait for its approval! I hope it passes quickly. Thanks again for the good product.
@@RyanPeterson-5053 I am checking every single day whether it is uploaded or not in the Appstore. I can't wait for that.
Do you like any cases or battery pack accessories?
Ya, I have a case review for the Spigen and Apples case. I prefer Apples for usability. Now I just recently started testing a $15 case (amzn.to/3WmyMav) and a $10 battery case/pouch (amzn.to/3Qvn21N) through Amazon for travel. Its not bad and I will probably do a review on that soon. As far as battery cases, I have only ever used the Belkin one that launched with the AVP. I really like it and have not had any issues. But now that there are so many more options, it might be worth checking some of those out.
I'll be buying the 8GB 512GB version. I'll run Ollama 7B models in it. Will it be fine? I'm not a hardcore user. I do web development and use x code occasionally.
I would say that it should run. You might run into some memory issues if you have to many apps running at once. I have never personally tried running on anything less than 16GB. But I tend to have a lot of things running at once.
I kinda wish this wasn't a "fully immersive" app, so that you could open monitors alongside other visionOS apps. I hope long-term they offer both options. I worked in Immersed for several months using my Quest 3 before buying an AVP for the increased resolution/quality. I was able to substitute Immersed with mac mirroring + splitscreen + several visionOS apps. I hope that eventually I'll be able to do something like this with Immersed.
I totally agree! I would love to not have all my screens reset every time I want to check my messages.
The teflon on my RS4 Pro is a lot smoother than my RS3 Pro... its easier to balance in my opinion.
I noticed after some use that it got a bit better. I also loosened the clamp a bit more, and it seemed to help. As far as balancing goes, it really is easier; it also handles bigger rigs alot better then my RS3
Incredible piece to have. I’m looking for an upgrade. Definitely on my list.
It seems unnecessarily redundant. You already can mirror your laptop and make it so big you have two windows open as it is. And then just open a bunch of different apps or windows already via the pro.
For my use case, it is very much needed. I love Apple's screen mirroring! but I hate having to log out of my Apple account to switch my AVP over to my work computer from my personal one. Now I can leave it signed into my personal Mac and just fire up Immersed for my work, which is amazing! It makes working remotely a little easier.
@@RyanPeterson-5053 ahh I see what you mean. I use the mirror feature on the MacBook in my AVP and then just add other screens around it. Or make the mirrored screen so large that I can fit everything with ease. But glad it works for you!!
I’m sorry, but this looks terrible, it looks like the Quest OS! What I mean is for $3500 the AVP OS actually has 3D windows! Windows in the back, in front, up and down. Windows placed around 3 dimensional space. You can walk around between windows. It’s absolutely believable. Quest productivity features look and feel like 2D, like a big curved flat monitor. Every window is side to side. It’s beta but so far, it’s losing the 3D magic.
I have both Quest 3 and the AVP and I think what you are seeing in the screen recordings is not doing it justice. All of the text is clear, and everything is way sharper than in the quest version. Now, as for the 3D environment, I agree that it is not as clean as Vision OS or as user-friendly. I am just really hoping they can work on it in the future.
I seriously dont see how this is better than a dedicated dji fpv headset other than retaining sub par line of site. Makes zero sense in almost any practical use case scenario
Its not better. I would say it's useful if you don't have a DJI headset and don't want to pay for one. But native products are always better overall. It's also fun to just see what Vision Pro can do.
DJI FPV headset and a Vision Pro is not the same. I see this video as showcasing more capabilities and options with the Vision Pro. Of course a DJI headset would be better, that's what its made for.
Makes no financial sense either, but I guess someone with a VP isn't really all that bothered about money. As a side note if you have the RC Pro with HDMI output just pick up a cheap analogue FPV headset that does HDMI in, will be better than the Vision pro as far as latency goes and while not better than the DJI Goggles for latency it will cost much less.
on 20:17 you can see distance warning disappear and the difference is about 3 frames, probably it's 100ms latency
Nice, man!
Thanks!
Love from India 🇮🇳 ❤
if i had unlimited resources i would have a vision pro 😕
Is the base model 8gb ram m3 13” air good enough or better to buy 16gb m2 air 13” or 15”?😊. Does it work in our normal wifi router or needs 6e particularly? Is the m2 air camera too bad?
It would all come down to your use case. If you are not using it for super-intensive tasks, then the 8gb would be fine. However, if you want to do more with it, then I would go for the 16gb M2. You will lose out on a little processing power, but a little extra RAM wouldn't hurt. As far as screen size and camera go,. I would personally get the bigger screen, but as for the webcam, I have not tested out the M2 Airs camera, so I cannot speak to that. But Apple usually has pretty good, if not the best-built-in, web cameras on the market, at least in my opinion.
you uploaded pro conttent. 🌟
Thank you!
Thanks,really helpful !
Glad to hear it!
random question but what shirt is that
The shirt is from gruntstyle.com But I haven't been able to find that exact one on their site. They switch prints every few months. So it might not be there currently.
dude ur so underrated. Pls make more videos
Thanks, and that is the plan.
Great video! I have a similar TPU cover from Amazon and the extra piece of mind helps. I was so afraid of walking into something 😅😅😅
Thank you! Ya, I feel a lot better with that on my AVP than when I first got it.
That’s great info. Thx.
Your welcome. Glad it was helpful.
The risk of a lens scratch is a no-go for me. I’m using a case to protect, I don’t want to worry about it
Hey Ryan, I just finished watching your video on youtube and it really did help me a lot, dude your content is solid and you provide a ton of value, so thanks a lot for that) But I found out that the thumbnails of your videos seem like they're poorly designed and not optimized for High CTR for a business channel. And I can fix that, I've found out the exact methods even Iman Gadzhi is using in his thumbnails to increase the CTR by speaking to various TH-cam experts, which I could replicate in your chann annel and Increase increase th the CTR like crazy I'll do one thumbnail for free and then you can check and see the quality of my work and only then pay me for the rest of the thumbnails. Does that sound like a fair deal?:)
Hey Ryan , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with Best Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?
Great Video! The small compartment on the Spigen Case is removable, but the space in it, it is a bit limited.
Ya, I would have liked it to have been a bit bigger while keeping the removability feature.
Both of these cases are too big for me. WaterField Designs makes the perfect Apple Vision Pro case for my needs. It's not a hard case, but is SO PADDED that I wouldn't worry in the least if the case was dropped with Vision Pro in it. And since I'm not one to throw my Apple Vision Pro around, I don't need a hard case. The Waterfield Design's case is so space efficient that it's amazing to what it can hold. And the case itself is SO COMPACT that it can easily fit into other travel bags. Yeah, too much over compensation when it comes to Apple and Spigen's cases. They're right for someone, just not for me. vgv
I found another case on Amazon that I might have to check out. It's a lot like the WaterField but is a hardshell. It's also cheaper by a lot.
Nice review, man! I'm officially jealous.
Thanks!
