i been watching the eng dub and i just realised in the jolyne calls her stand name by stone ocean instead of stone free like in the japanese ver, so i've been calling her stand stone ocean this whole time💀 also crazy how part 3 of stone ocean was aired in 2022 and i just finished watching it in 2024
That's because of localization. All stand names are really based off songs and they don't have the rights to the names do the use similar ones
I love both the sub and the dub, and usually I prefer the sub for screams like this, but holy hell Mercer went all out on this one. I actually prefer it over Ono's, which was still VERY good.
You know what I don't get, why did Jotaro pull Jolyne away himself rather than get Star Platinum to do it? Given how fast that stand is, he might've stood a chance of hitting Pucci.
You have 5 seconds to respond, not only have you used 3 seconds out your 5, but you see Pucci throwing thieves at your daughter and you are thinking only two choices, kill Pucci or save your daughter. It wouldn’t have occurred to him and he only had a 1 sec maybe to pull Jolyne and move to hit Pucci. He still wouldn’t be able to make his punches connect in time.
@@benjaminaraya8073 Well, one thing he could've done is had Star Platinum grab some of the knives and throw them at Pucci. They're also accelerated so they might've hit him.

I would also like to point out Foo Fighter's dubbed scream when they get blown up by Pucci. It's honestly so much more gut wrenching than the original Japanese
I just realized that Jotaro's death was directly caused by him becoming a better father. In the beginning of the part, Jotaro punches Jolyne to move her quickly. Had he done so here, he may have been able to get her out of the way with enough time to strike Pucci. He didn't want to do that because he didn't want to hurt his daughter.
