I am Vinyl-45-Obscurities (as you can see by reading my name).
I will mostly be posting those obscure '60s and '70s gems that got lost in time. Other random miscellaneous videos will be uploaded here as well. Mostly great music, though!

Tutorial: How to Remove and Replace the Hoover Model 450 Back Wheels
In this video, we take a look at the Hoover model 450 and its back wheels. As development of these vacuum cleaners went on, certain parts began being riveted, making them more difficult to remove. This video will explain how these wheels can be replaced easily without harming your vacuum cleaner!
I always recommend finding new old stock or original Hoover wheels as replacements, but sometimes that isn't always possible. I've designed and printed sets of replacement wheels that fit on these vacuums. You can check them out here:
Higher-quality wheels (more expensive):

U2 - "Inside Out" 1978 Garage Rock
มุมมอง 2.4K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's a song that wouldn't be out of place in one of those '60s garage compilations! This is an early demo that U2 recorded after winning a talent contest in 1978. It was never released on vinyl or any home formats, so the picture is just a blank Island label from 1978 (which is the label they got signed to for their first release in 1980, titled Boy). As for the song itself, I enjoy it a lot....
The Zebra - "Groovy Personality" 1968 Soul
มุมมอง 1.1K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Special note: This is not the same Zebra that found success in the '80s! This is the B-side to "Miss Anne" (which is also uploaded here). Another great tune, in my opinion. It's one of those that I can't just play the A-side. If I'm going to play one side, I have to flip it over! Audio was recorded from the original 45-RPM single on Philips Records.
The Zebra - "Miss Anne (Ain't That Kind of Man)" 1968 Rock
มุมมอง 1.2K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's an obscurity! This is an excellent tune by The Zebra. Rotary Connection's album Aladdin comes to mind, when I hear this one. I had a difficult time finding any information on this band at all. A few sources said this is the same "Zebra" that went on to be successful in the 1980s, but I had my doubts, since Randy Jackson would have been 13 years old at the time of this recording. That's n...
Status Quo - "And I Do" Obscure 1994 B-side
มุมมอง 2.6K7 ปีที่แล้ว
This is one of the many non-LP B-sides by Status Quo. It appears on the "Restless" single. The single cover says "limited edition clear vinyl," but I'm pretty sure this is the only version of the single that was released. The A-side is from their album Thirsty Work (also released in '94). Audio was recorded from the original 45-RPM single on Polydor Records.
Sweet - "Medussa" (Medusa) 1976 Hard Rock
มุมมอง 19K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Medusa (incorrectly spelled as "Medussa" on the label) is a non-LP track by Sweet. It appeared on the B-side of the American release of the single, "Action." It may have appeared as a B-side in other countries, but I'm not sure. I like the song a lot. It was released around the time of their LP Give Us a Wink. Audio was recorded from the original 45-RPM single on Capitol Records.
The Yardbirds - "Puzzles" 1967 Garage Rock
มุมมอง 1.8K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Definitely my favorite Yardbirds song! This is the B-side to "Little Games." This was originally a non-LP track until their album titled Little Games was reissued to include a bunch of non-LP and unreleased tracks. Audio was recorded from the original 45-RPM single on Epic Records.
Strawberry Alarm Clock - "California Day" 1970 Rock
มุมมอง 2.7K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This is one of my favorite SAC songs. It was their second-to-last single ever released, and it reuses the b-side "Three" from their previous release (which would later be used again on their final single). This is a non-LP track, though it did appear on a few SAC compilations and as a bonus track on the Japanese CD of Good Morning Starshine. Audio was recorded from the original 45-RPM single on...
The Bee Gees - "Whisper Whisper" [Mono EP Version] 1969 Rock
มุมมอง 1.5K8 ปีที่แล้ว
"Whisper Whisper" is one of those songs I never get tired of hearing. It appears originally on their LP titled Odessa, as track 8. I can't help but to mention that this is one of the worst Polydor pressings I've ever heard. No matter what cartridge you use, it will sound just as muffled. Track listing on the EP is as follows: 1. Tomorrow, Tomorrow 2. Suddenly 3. Sun in My Morning 4. Whisper Whi...
The Bee Gees - "Suddenly" [Mono EP Version] 1969 Rock
มุมมอง 5K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's a mono track off of a Bee Gees EP titled Tomorrow, Tomorrow. This specific song is track 2. The song also appeared on their album titled Odessa (track 7). I can't help but to mention that this is one of the worst Polydor pressings I've ever heard. No matter what cartridge you use, it will sound just as muffled. Track listing on the EP is as follows: 1. Tomorrow, Tomorrow 2. Suddenly 3. S...
Bee Gees - "Heavy Breathing" 1974 Pop Rock (Pre-Disco)
มุมมอง 1.8K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Not quite disco stuff, but it's getting close. This song is track 10 on Mr. Natural, the Bee Gees' last album without disco tracks. It's one of the harder-edged songs on the album. It's also the B-side to their uncharted single, "Charade."
The Who - "Doctor, Doctor" 1967 Garage
มุมมอง 8519 ปีที่แล้ว
Really neat song here. This is the B-side to "Pictures of Lily." John Entwistle's name is spelled correctly on this single, unlike most of the other ones including his name. Audio was recorded from the original 45-RPM single on Decca Records.

This one was released on the London records on that same year in 1969

Cadet Concept Oldies But Goodies
[Backwater / Just Take Me] Down at Backwater junction rolling down the line In the dark early morning I heard the one-forty-nine I was walking down the highway, needed somewhere to go A lady laid beside me and she invited me home She led me cold, tired and hungry down the backwater road In a house on the corner looking over the track I woke up with a fever and a pain in my back She was lying there beside me, my fever started to grow Had a funny feeling but the lady said no My lover needs a doctor down the Backwater Road Whatcha lookin' for, whatcha lookin' for Lady do you know what cha' lookin' for Was I wrong to play along? Lady was I right or lady was I wrong? Backwater doctor, you've got me breathing in time It's ten-thirty in the morning and I'm feeling alright I went back to my lady but I wasn't to know Lady left this morning and she's not coming home I was cold when she left me down the Backwater Road I am just a poor man, got nowhere to go All my leaves have fallen, left me all alone If I was a rich man, if I was a king I would give you all I have, give you everything If you'd just take me, just take me now If you'd just take me Never seen my daddy, died when I was two Mama did the best she could, taught me all she knew Said that love was everything, tears came to her eyes Never knew the meaning, now I realise Love is all you need, all you need now If you just take me I'm trying hard to get you, I'm not the only one Never had a big car, but I'm not on the run If love has got a meaning see it in my eyes If you see the beginning, then you'd realise Love is all you need, all you need now If you just take me Just take me Just take me now Won't you just take me
sounds like nirvana
Great cover.
I prefer this one too
Back then when I was young, I loved a lot Piledriver, Hello, On the level, Blue for Ya but this Quo was just Ok. Now me at 63 yards old, I think this Quo album is just on the top, what comes to their lp's. Btw, I owned these albums but unfortunately lost em.
Amazingly, there are now other ways to listen to music than vinyl.
It’s my birthday song.
Lyrics please
I used software to isolate the vocals and transcribed the lyrics to the best of my ability - still pretty difficult with how distorted the mixing is, but here's what I got. Feel free to make suggestions. The lemon walls lead to up here Changing shades, see me drawing near Ten spiders crawling on your kites Where you built them in the night Run, run, move along They're falling off the walls Run, run, move along Your secret voices call Magic carpets we shall ride Summer children free in the night Come with me to white birches Let me slowly lift you away Run, run, move along They're falling off the wall Run, run, move along Your secret voices call Like a boy, you come to me Scattered pieces of iron and rage In the storm, you will forget Love forever in patterned shades Run, run, move along Take your love and go Run, run, move along Searching for your soul Run, run, run, run, run
@MCSMeister omg😲, thank you very much
@@MCSMeisteri think he said: set before your soul🤷♂️
@@garageTiTi It's definitely "searching for your soul" now that I'm listening again; I edited the lyrics
Was not aware of this version without the horns until I read about it half an hour ago... this is fine!
I have always loved this song. I wish DDY would bring it back. I know "Styx" did not write the song, but it is a great song.
When I was a little kid in the 60s, my Dad brought home a record player for my older brother and this is the 45 the salesman had accidentally let inside while explaining how it worked We played it over and over many times ❤😅
The Beach Boys want your location
Such a killer tune but often overlooked.
Pure brilliance
This is a really nice record
It does what it says on the label
Extraordinaire !! Love it more and more...
Irwin Levine in his Beatles motiff
Irwin Levine at his finest Doing his Eleanor Rigby

The Final track on the Final Album. The singer really puts his heart and soul into this. One of their best. Thanks.
It's such a classic I would still listen to this if it was recorded on a shoe lace! Nice copy, sounds great. Thanks.
The band's third Double Shot single; the B-side of "You Must Believe Me." (1967)
WOW, what a VERY upbeat song by Howard and the boys that I have NEVER heard before and thanks for sharing! Too bad it never got to be a hit that it was destined to be. Almost sounds like a song that could have been in a car or other type of commercial in the 1960's. So groovy, for sure! 😎
Jimmy Page era Yardbirds
That IS the right versión and the versión of the radio 1966FARFISA
Wow
One of my all time favorite songs ever! I had this 45 never played the A side who know I was 5 then thought this was the hit listened to it about a billion times thanks!!! For the post
Released spring 1970.
I bought the LP in 1977. Still one of my favourites with probably the best versions I have heard of Morning Dew and Tobacco Road.
MF Doom me trouxe até aqui!
This is excellent 😊 !
The very sound of this song sums up the Sixties!
Sounds like The Association.
One of quos best
Lived in Houston for 2yrs.. went by River Oaks and Washington Ave
I grew up to the turtles and I still remember those days
Good song! B - side single of "Everybody Knows". "Concentration Baby" definitely the better song.
I would love to know if the original Lady 1973 disc had this single edit on the B-side or was it the album cut?
Also recorded (first) by The Impressions
Every year or so DOOM brings someone here. R.i.p.
In my opinion is this their best album. Alan Lancaster had a big influence on this one, helped by Parfitt. Rossi was busy making his first solo album and this is as heavy as Quo got, thanks to Alan and Rick. Love the Quo album and the cover.
The retro attic internet radio station brought me here. EXTREMELY underrated, gorgeous song!
What a combination of sounds, every sense banging. Quo brilliance x
Found a copy of this in a junk pile ~ 5 years ago. English pressing DB, Bside Fu¢£ing never heard it before! Thanks for post man
