Pre-Install Tips for One-piece Skirted Toilet (by Woodbridge) in a Tight Space
PLEASE NOTE: The Woodbridge one piece skirted toilet is fairly heavy and does not have much grip space. I needed to install it in an area 30" wide. This installation video shows some tips to install the toilet into a confined space. It does not show the full installation because there are many videos showing toilet installations. Because the bolt holes are not visible when holding the toilet, you need some way to ensure that the you line up the bolts with the holes. The trick that I used was small 2"x4" blocks to hold the toilet above the bolts so that I could position the bolts into the hidden holes. As you get the toilet positioned over the bolts, you then remove individual blocks and lower the toilet down in a controlled fashion. It worked very well.

Remove transmission from Honda HR214 lawnmower
มุมมอง 18K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This video describes how to remove the self propel transmission from the Honda HR214 lawnmower. There is a TH-cam video by doublewide6 that describes how to repair the transmission. That video is at m.th-cam.com/video/2lDj-tcLYjE/w-d-xo.html
Replace Hood Release Cable Toyota Corolla 2005
มุมมอง 85K7 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows how to replace the hood release cable to a 2005 Toyota Corolla. It will also work for other Toyota Corolla model years. In many cases, the cable becomes worn or weathered and no longer moves easily. This results in the hood release getting stuck, which prevents the hood from latching properly. This process was done in less than 1 hour. The video is best viewed on a computer scr...
2008 Toyota Solara D4S Light Bulb Replacement for Main Headlight
มุมมอง 50K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows how to replace the main headlight light bulb for a 2008 Toyota Solara with an HID D4S 35W light bulb. The process takes about 15 minutes to install and saves a significant amount of money versus the prices charged by dealers and auto repair shops. Enjoy!
Excellent. Thanks.
Easier said than done.
thanks, this helps me a lot
Thank you for making this video! For anyone doing this for a Sienna, you have to pull the cable the opposite way; the new cable has to come from the hood to the latch inside. The latch inside is a little different but it all worked well.
Good Day, Got my Solara last January. Was going to replace my OEM headlight with LED's and I have a 2008 Toyota Solara Convertible. What I noticed was that I have the H11 bulbs for the main lights not the D4S as you indicate here. Tried to see if there was a cross conversion and could not find one. Anyone know why there are two different bulbs in the same year car? I could see if they were different years but being they are both 2008's I was just a bit curious. Anyway, this helped me change both the main and high beam bulbs to LED's with only a few scrapes and cuts. Even in the garage they look a whole lot better. Thank you for the video. Mark😁
Thank you for this
Another way to do it is making the cardboard template like you did and placing it in position then with hot glue, temporarily place a couple of 2 by 4 pieces on the perimeter to help guide the toilet in position!!! You’re welcome!!
Gracias 🙏🏻
Works on a toyota corolla 1.8 2010 too. i've cutted the seal on the old cable to make it easier when pulling the new cable ! Great Vid, Thanks
Thanks a lot!!! Great video and detailed explanations🙏
My clips are so tight and with the parts in the way in the engine compartment I can't get the bulb out...any tips? It's so frustrating because I am mechanically inclined!
How does he tighten down the bolt?
Not that useful when you don’t actually show how exactly did you twisted off counter clock wise the built .
Mines transmission works alright but the ends where the wheels are attached are toast. I think it'll be easier to just replace the whole transmission.
Really helpful advice, just what I was looking for. Thanks!
Thanks for giving me the courage to fix this, and I just got it done.
Does this toilet have a flapper? Can you just goto home depot and get a replacement? Those go bad every few years
No flatter.
OMG THANK YOU!! I saw another video that suggested you remove the entire assembly. I was about to give up and take to my mechanic. You are a life saver!
This is the second one for the basement bat. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOuLt8IL_GxhhaK8DBuKEL-zV0UJVpWZn , works great
Good advice, thanks!
Thank you. I purchased a 2004 6 months ago. Even though Ford cars obviously are not as good as Toyota at least I could replace my bulbs so easy front and back. This has no room. I also watched how to replace the whole assembly. The bumper is in the way, stupied
How did you drop those blocks at the end?
According to the manufacturer video, you are supposed to use their template to use it as a guide so you drop it in the correct spot so the bolts go through the holes.
I appreciate the fact that you took the time to create and post this video. However - I think it's a little short in one aspect. The video fails to show or even emphasize how difficult it is to actually remove or replace it with that fusebox in the way. I got as far as removing the outer cap, but then found it impossible to grab the bulb holder enough to unscrew it. Without ever getting the old bulb out, and after much panic, I managed to get it back together. I went to a body shop and they wanted $150 labor to change the bulb on the fuse box side. That tells you how difficult it is. If the fusebox is removed (or loosened enough to move it slightly) would it be much easier? Is it difficult or unwise to move the fusebox? Thx
This toilet is trash!! Had to smash it to remove it! There is no access at all! Stay away from the headache!
Going to try this on my 01 Lexus wish me luck lol they can’t be that much different they’re all Toyotas lmao
Nice, I’ve installed two of these in the last month. Toilet holes are hidden inside and no attachments. I use the tape as a reference both on the floor and the toilet, but I gently trace the template on the floor with pencil, and tilt the toilet in from the face. So far 2 no problem.
Painter's tape tip was most helpful
I had to change our dim headlight on our 2007 Solara 7/1/2022, it was a lot easier to take the whole head light out to change it than to try to put it in from the back.
Black lines matter !!!
Hi, any idea where I can buy oil seals for the input shaft on these 2 speed transmissions ? Mine is leaking. Thanks Jason
Very straightforward and to the point. Unlike many other videos with excess talking of nonsense. Great job! It's appreciated sir 👍🏼
I'm happy that it helped. Thanks for your post.
Thank you. have you considered changing from HID to LED. I have a 07 Solara Sport.
Thank you very much for your video. Your explanation is very clear and to the point. I had solve my toyota vios hood release cable problems.
How convenient that your hood was open to begin with... how do you open hood with broken cable??
A huge Thank You in sharing your video; your camera angles and closeups really helped my replace my wifes' cable (07 Corolla S ).
I'm happy that it helped!
The Jura filter is an ingenious combination of both a single use water softener and a charcoal water filter. The white granules are the water softener ion exchange resin that removes calcium from the water so you don’t have to descale. The black granules are the activated charcoal which filter out chlorine and other contaminants.
Maybe the title should be “Tips on how to prep before install” or something? Otherwise these are really good tips!
Good point. Thanks
I’m converting mines to LED my order just got dropped off at my house. Wish me luck! Thank you for the detailed tutorial.
Philip, pls send an Update on how this went. I have HID and wish to change to LED, Thanks
where is the best place to acquire new materials ?
I have a HRA215 and it appears the pin has fallen out, which holds female cable/shaft onto the male shaft of the transmission? Not sure if self drive unit works, wonder if I can try a cotter pin in its place to see if drive unit works? any chance someone has lnk for pats so I can order pin? Thanks
I'm having a problem getting the spring load right and cable don't know where I need the arm set or how compressed the spring needs to be but I sure wish you would have showed that part or do you know a link I can look at to see how?
I cannot get my hands between the fuse box and the headlight assembly and I can't figure out how to remove the fuse box.
These toilets are GARBAGE and an absolute nightmare to install. Don't get one!
Actually, the toilet is great. I created the video to show an approach to installing the toilet in a confined space.
@@tomscorner9420 ive installed a couple of them and have had very poor experiences. Im happy for you that your experience has been good but I will not guarantee my work past 90 days with these. The plastic L bracket is a recipe for black water disaster in my opinion
@@twistedpudding the closet bolts attached to 2 nylon L brackets. The toilet screws in from the side to attach to the nylon bracket hence "holding it" to the floor. They stash the hardware in the toilet bowl. When you're pissed off because the screws won't reach, its not you. They are a quarter inch too short to engage. Go to your home center and get 4in stainless screws
@@twistedpudding they must have changed their design. Im glad to hear they fasten to porcelain now!
Than[ks for the video. I have a 2007 Toyota Solara convertible and my problem was the passenger side low beam HID bulb. I changed the bulb in about 20 minutes and the only "trouble" I had was I had to use a small mirror to put the clip back in place. The bulb was the same as in the video. The dealer wanted $275, the local repair shop wanted $200 and I did the job for $55 as I bought the same bulb from Amazon. Thanks again.
I'm glad it helped!
How did you tighten the bolts once the toilet was on the floor?
As I recall, the toilet came with a wrench. I had to reach around and tighten the bolt.
@@tomscorner9420 Ah ok, I just wanted to know if there is any easier way. Thanks!
@@tomscorner9420 was it a special type of wrench?
@Lineve Ritchie As I recall, one end went on the nut and the other end was like a big key so that you could twist with one hand while reaching around.
I can’t get the stupid cap off the drivers side light

My 2005 wasn't like this. It uses h11 bulbs though. They were super easy and took me just a few minutes.
Thanks, this was very helpful. I was able to replace the cable in my 05 Prius. I appreciate you taking the time to post this.
Just wondering why you didn't remove the battery? But I do appreciate this video.
