Tengo cinco amigos exitosos que visitaron Colombia. Al principio estaban entusiasmados, pero se marcharon decepcionados. Estudiaron español básico, socializaron e intentaron conocer mujeres, algunas con la esperanza de tener relaciones serias; fue un desastre. A los pocos días de conocerse, en línea o de otra manera, menos cualquier conversación profunda o intimidad, el 100% de las mujeres les pidieron dinero por algún motivo. Cuando se negaron y explicaron que ni siquiera se conocían todavía, las mujeres los engañaron o siguieron rogandoles por dinero (o debería decir solicitaron estar con mis amigos a cambio de dinero). Además, los taxistas los perfilaron y asumieron que, como eran estadounidenses, estaban allí como turistas sexuales, pero no lo eran, y eso también los ofendió profundamente. Entre esto y los hombres drogados y robados, creo que pasaré por alto a Colombia y sus mujeres, sin importar lo bonitas que crean que son.

As a Frenchman, I will admit I felt a bit of Gallic pride hearing my language mentioned many times. 🙂 I love languages, and all have an intrinsic beauty when you get to know them, with no exception so far. I guess studying Latin was a major headstart but that is another story. As a Norman, I have recently taken up Danish on Duolingo. English and German help a lot, but it is still quite idiosyncratic, if you don't mind me saying that. I often struggle with the pronunciation too (hedder, Alfred and those endings in -ide, or -g I can barely hear). I don't think I'll use it a lot or even get very good at it, but I do believe getting into a language makes one a better person; it is also certainly a pleasurable experience.

Actually pretty good advice on talking to the locals. Last time I was in Copenhagen I wasn't impressed because people were cold. This time I'm going outside of Copenhagen. I'll try to talk to people. Hope they're right that locals do warm up! And great advice on the weather.

Greetings from Spain. There are quite a lot of Colombians here. Creo que las mujeres más lindas, más abiertas y dispuestas a incluir partes de otras gentes son las de Cali. I once lived in Canada and had then the chance to spend a month in the Chocó pacífico. The weather was worse than in the Canadian winter and 99% of popularion are blacks on a motorbike. I really felt like at home. It's wasn't because I'm a native Spanish speaker.

Las Argentina a diferencia de otras Latinoamericanas no se fijan tanto en el fisico de los chicos y mas si son extranjeros, son mas bien de la forma de ser del hombre, no las impresiona la parte fisica como sucede en Colombia, Cuba etc donde ven a un extranjero y se babean pero las Argentinas tienes que conquistarlas con el lenguaje.
