The oil/salt thing is actually true, but only if you pressure cook your pasta. Try it. Instant-pot your pasta with some salt, butter, and olive oil. Because the water isn't able to boil off and is basically forced into the pasta, and because you're using significantly less water to the point that you don't have to drain it(2 to 1, water to pasta), the oil and butter and salt will be forced into the pasta along with the water. Some fats will remain on top, yes, but the rest will give you a richer, deeper, more flavorful noodle.

One of my favorite types of omelette to make is a soufflé omelette. Separate the yolks and whites of three eggs, beat the yolks with a large amount of salt and pepper until they’re slightly thick, then beat the whites until they form stiff peaks. Fold half of the beaten whites into the yolks, mix until homogeneous, add some cheddar cheese in, then add in the rest of the whites and mix once more. Lastly, melt a bit of butter in a 12 inch pan, add in your egg mixture, throw some more shredded cheddar on top, put a lid over the pan, and cook on low heat. They’re so dang fluffy and chewy, the texture is just wonderful!! I’ve found that I have issues with the whites suddenly going flat and being unable to be beaten back into stiff peaks. Anyone know why that is?
