@brijendrasahye You sir are spot on with your comment. The UK has shown its true face of corruption and colonialism. We were very good at hiding it. I've never heard of so many ppl wanting to leave the UK, mainly those with good jobs. I don't blame them. Singapore, lucky you, what an awesome place. Ilford library were great for study. I use to go late 80's, remember when it opened.

I don't think it has mate. Yes it's made some areas worse with the concentration and standard of immigrants coming in. But it's also had a positive outcome as we and now our kids have bettered ourselves. My kids couldn't go through the racism we went through, all now have good jobs and integrated well. We show appreciation for what this country has given us and have shown that multiculturalism can work.

@IlfordRetro Really was a good cinema growing up. Local and with good pubs and food places. We were regulars there, then onto pizza hut in Ilford 😂

@IlfordRetro Growing up everybody wanted to move to Ilford and Gants Hill. Whenever I go to Ilford now, I meet someone from East Ham and Manor Park 😂

Never been European, but the area has become really rundown.

Nothing is European apart from racism,corruption,alcoholism,colonialism and plundering other countries to make themselves rich.No wonder Europe has fallen and never to get back up.USA ,China and others will lead the world.Go to hell.

It's got worse since 90's coz of corruption from our so called government. We have become a soft touch, scared to talk about anything serious.

@IlfordRetro Thank you. For me the High St is dear to my heart. Especially as my family had business in many High St across London in the 80's. I'd love to see the rejuvenation but sadly I don't think we will 😪

I agree that no one is prepared to confront real issues, especially as there is plenty of money wasted in Ilford. But poverty affects everyone regardless of skin colour.
