You are reading only from the time of the Jews. In Gen 11:1-9, there was one of the first BIG divisions: when the people tried to find God's NAME by the work of their hands (building a tower). Their tongues were confused and they could not finish that city! Now the Jews were part of that confusion, for there had been no prophets in their midst for some 400-500 years! Consequently the teaching of the "Law" had deteriorated until John the Baptist began to baptizes, and Jesus was baptized about six months later. On the Day of Pentecost, some three and a half years later, God poured out His Spirit "...upon all flesh..." and Jews from some 12-14 countries heard the preaching of the "Gospel That Saves" in THEIR OWN LANGUAGE. The only confusion was "...how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born...we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.?" That, friend, is "The Gospel That Saves".

Thanks for reminding us of the call to daily perseverance with deep and firm resolve. May we all keep singing to our last breath: “The cross before me, the world behind me: No turning back. No turning back.”

My children, when you quiet your minds and humble yourself quietly before Me that is when I speak to you. You must concentrate and focus on Me with all of your strength and worship. You must be desperate for Me so that nothing else around you matters. You must have faith that when you come to Me in this way I am delighted and I sing songs of joy over you! Many of you do not do this consistently and that is why you have problems hearing My voice. My children, I want to be intimate with you daily and then I want to converse with you throughout the entire day. This is what it means in My word when it says to “Pray without ceasing”. Many of you don’t understand and think that it is next to impossible but it isn’t. I don’t call you to anything that is burdensome or “hard”, that is religion. The things that man-made religion asks of you, are impossible because it is of the flesh. The enemy loves this because most give up even seeking Me. I ask you to enter into the Spirit and it is not by human effort that you do this, it is only by 100% total surrender, which lacks any deed or work that you do. Lay everything that you are and all of your cares and burdens at my feet and then sit at My feet and talk to Me. Does that sound difficult? If it does, you are not giving everything up before Me. What most of you have not been told is that your burdens are sins. This is because the man-made and demonicaly run church of this day says it’s acceptable for you to stay in your sin. This could not be further from the truth! I did not willingly die and give of My own blood upon a hideous torture device, the cross, for you to stay bound up and defeated by your sin! I came to destroy the works of the devil and sin is what causes every evil thing in your life and in your world. There is no sin in heaven and thus there is no sickness, suffering or lack of any good and perfect thing. This cannot be fully realized on your earth because sin abounds on it now like never before but it can be realized in the lives of My children who are practicing righteousness and whose hearts are desiring the fulness of My Spirit within them. He who sins as a completely normal act, without a second thought, constantly and without repentance is of his father the devil. He who has been born of My Spirit, that sins by mistake and is repentant and hates the sin he has committed, will be forgiven if he asks because I am his advocate with the Father. Do not ever stop repenting of your sins children or you will be overcome and given over to them and to the enemy. Even then it is to bring you back to repentance! I desire none of you to be lost, so call upon My Spirit to reveal to you what you must lay down before Me. I will consume the sacrifice and the fire shall burn hot and it shall be gone in your life. My children, acknowledge that My presence is always with you and put down all forms of sin. I surround you with My presence constantly but you don’t realize I am right there with you. It is when you perceive the revelation that I AM there with you at all times and have faith that I always do what I say I will do, that My miracles will occur. My Spirit never leaves you unless you don’t want Me with you because of your sin. When you begin to know this in you heart and truly believe, you will walk in My glory in greater and greater manifestation. You will go from glory to glory for My glory not your own. I long for you to walk in My presence and power, for by this you shall overcome this world of sin, evil and darkness. That which is coming upon this earth will be impossible to overcome in the flesh so enter into My Spirit today and I will strengthen you. Sing this to Me as David did: “I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.” (Psalm 18:1-6) “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19b) “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, Says the Lord of hosts.“(Zech. 4:6b) ONLY BY MY SPIRIT YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS! Great explanation of a difficult passage. Everything points to the conclusion that Christ is the perfect Savior.

I needed to hear this today, because as I approach my 66th BD, and with God’s call upon me, I see no retirement in sight! So here is my take-away: Like a musician who obeys “rest notes,” written on each page of the music, I, too, can continue my work in the vineyard, even a 40-hour week, but only if I obey His frequent calls to rest (Matthew 11:28) and serve only in the strength that He provides. If I am fully submitting to God’s work/rest cycle, in synch with that perfect tempo that Jesus keeps me at when I am yoked to Him (Matthew 11:29-30), I know that there will be frequent “Be still” stops (Psalm 46:10). Also, with the joy of the Lord as My strength, I can always enjoy His rest. My hope is that as I learn more and more about how to abide in the Vine, I will abide not in the lazy pace of my flesh - nor in the frenzied pace of the world, or any workaholism that says “More bricks!” (Exodus 5:8) - but at that perfect pace that will make me as fruitful as an olive tree in the house of the LORD, even, Lord willing, into old age.
