wait, why would using the detachment ability to reroll hits "maximise your potential output", rather than rerolling wounds? you need to pass _both_ rolls to succeed in causing any damage; hit rolls being made "before" wound rolls is immaterial (instead, you should just choose to take rerolls on whichever test is going to be _more difficult…_ or maybe on whichever test will let you fish for lethal/sustained hits or devastating wounds)

Yeah, so folks, let's get one thing strait. Eldar are Tolkien elves who walked on Valinor. Gw never should have stolen that word for their space elves, and if they were going to, they should have made them proper Tolkien style elves and not given them the awful single edged swords. When they all have swords that look like witchblades or the wailing doomz then you can call them Eldar. Ignore the op, he is clearly an idiot.

Does anyone else think channels like this calling them "aeldari" is part of the early release package for GW affiliates? ie. GW instructs them to call them by the copywrite(c) name? i've literally never heard them called that irl even once. not a single time. even newer players tend to call it the natural "eldar" which is a real word that has actual cultural cache outside of the GW post-chapterhouse ghetto.

Eldar has always been my ride-or-die faction and it's a delight to hear Campbell's..."enthusiasm" for them, lol.

My LGS has a pretty vocal Eldar hater. And man, do I wish his jabs would at least be as sharp and witty as Campbell's here.

10:54 I wish they too the opportunity to change the names between wraith lords and wraith knights. The bigger kit (wraith knight) should be called a wraith lord, and the smaller kits (wraith lords) should be called wraith knights imo.

I've only been playing since the start of 10th, and while im super excited about the new rules and basically having a whole new army, I am concerned about how to score decent primary without my 10 man Wraithblades 😅

Never get the hate Eldar gets. In the hands of an inexperienced player, almost all of the units fold easily.

Having spent some time last year collecting, and lightly converting, units to make an Eldritch Raiders-themed army, I'm so glad Prince Yriel has been dropped from the book. So. Glad.

I played a game using the Haloscreed Battle Clade and i have to disagree regarding the Kastelans, they were amazing and killed the most amount of units compared to the rest of the army.

Interesting! Sounds like they borrowed heavily from the Infinity skirmish game system for the combat. I actually like that quite a lot, I think it makes for a really engaging game. But figuring out how to onramp new players is something even Corvus Belli hasn't figured out!

Love this 5th edition ass detachment

Vastly dislike the push to 'mixed, GW-chosen regiments' over having the option to build your own Mordian Guard, Praetorian Guard, Vostroyans etc for the entire army. If anything, they could have made regiments into detachments. Armageddon / Steel Legion: troop transport one. etc. Also: those Krieg heavy flamers now have the same range as a Votain *RAILRIFLE*. Or their Thunderkyn grav cannons.

Mind you I have never played an actual table top game of 40k let alone one with chaos knights but a Knight Aborrent dealing D3 mortals to half of anything that it gets near while a squad of Accursed screen it with rerolling 1s to hit and wound and a Knight Despoiler sits in the back dealing 36 shots with lethal and sustained hits every turn sucking on a 20 cultist battery that can be resed for backline shenanigans once they’re drained sounds fun as hell. Plus if I’ve learned anything it’s that Amech is too pricy, Grey Knights need a refresh, and Chaos Knights would rather drag their nutts across broken glass than play war dog spam a minute longer.
