Roads #9: Salt Flats
I-80 across Utah, from the Bonneville Salt flats to the state capitol. It's debatable whether the section that crosses the salt flats is truly the longest, straight road in America, but one thing's certain: it's lonely and desolate. That portion of the video covers more than 40 miles in 15 seconds.

Roads #8: The Turnpike and NYC
An early morning drive up the New Jersey Turnpike and past some famous Manhattan landmarks. I'll probably never get another opportunity to drive this way with so little traffic! The video is a bit more jumpy than I'd like, but it's my fault for trying out a different camera from the one I usually use. Some interesting tidbits: - The bridge at the start of the video was scheduled to be closed fo...
January 2013 Flood
Between January 13 and 16, 2013, drenching rainstorms dropped 6-8 inches of precipitation on parts of east Tennessee. I set out with an iPad to see what I could find after the waters started receding.

Roads #7: Hampton Roads

Timelapse of an early morning drive through Newport News, Portsmouth, and Norfolk Virginia, followed by a quick trip through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
Snow Timelapse

A typical snowy day in Tennessee: it snows, the sun comes out, the snow melts by the end of the day.

A large granite globe in Amarillo, TX. This video was uploaded as part of my log for geocache GCGXBZ.
Atlanta Sunrise Timelapse
A timelapse video of a sunrise over Atlanta as seen from my hotel room at the Weston Peachtree during a recent meeting. It's not every morning you get to wake up to a view like that!
Roads #6: East Tennessee
A timelapse trek across East Tennessee along US highway 25. Actually, it's 25E, but that's just confusing- especially since 25W is a long detour that is just concurrent with a whole slew of other highways.
Roads #5: Natchez Trace Parkway
The Natchez Trace, from Tishomingo State Park in Mississippi to the northern terminus west of Nashville. The last minute or so is guaranteed to give you motion sickness. A side note, this is the first video project I put together using Final Cut Pro. Since my first attempt at uploading this video didn't work so well (too much compression), I'm trying again with a less compressed video file. Hop...
Roads #4: New Orleans
Interstate 10 from Slidell to the Big Easy. So far, it's the most challenging one I've put together, because some of the roads were just too bumpy (especially after crossing the levee at 0:48 and entering New Orleans, but that's not a surprise since parts of that stretch of roadway sat underwater for several months). New Orleans also had some of the craziest drivers I've seen. Speed limits are ...
Roads #3: St. Paul

The route from the MSP airport through St. Paul. I don't think this one turned out as good as my others, and the pace is a little slower, but here it is.
World's Largest Twine Ball
On a roadtrip through Minnesota, we just had to stop by the world's largest twine ball in Darwin, MN. This clip is part of a much longer video I put together after the trip, then lost in a hard drive crash shortly thereafter.
Roads #2: Atlanta
I decided to put together another timelapse-style Roads video of downtown Atlanta, while driving through on the only day that a sane person should attempt to do so: Sunday morning. The route starts at the Perimeter Mall, winds it's way through downtown, and finally ends up on I-20 east. Despite a few technical issues with the camera (autofocus was supposed to be off, but turned itself back on),...
Roads #1: I-40 Gorge
A trip through the Pigeon River Gorge on Interstate 40, sped up and put to funky music. This was my first attempt at putting together this kind of video.

Easy to recognize Morristown there at the beginning with it's second story sidewalks.

Hey, you did a great job on this. Having driven (and videod) all of those roads a million times, it was quite familar. I'm not a huge fan of sped-up videos but for me this one worked well.
