มุมมอง 2043 ปีที่แล้ว

And if that doesn’t work then we’ll yank em out and start over bc that weather was some destructive S and it is what it is. PS. If the trees are losing leaves that’s a good thing. The dead foliage steals nutrients from the trunk. Per ...

Scotty, amazing job man, this will be my Christmas Eve project, thank you.
Dude thanks so much ! My wife and I did this job ourselves thanks to your video !
Why did you stop making videos? You’re funny!
OMG thank you! I've watched a few videos but this one actually explains how to do it. What are everyone's thoughts on filter cleaners? They have some you can spray and let sit a few min then rinse off (in the driveway duh). :)
fantastic instruction and the opposite of handy Thank you so much
Thanks bro...Your vid helped out alot G!!!!Great detail!!Also great tips with the mallet.
How about the water that sits behind the shut off won’t that freeze ?
Shouldn’t with the valves open
Thanks
I think you should do the tutorial in Arnold mode from beginning to end.
Question :do you need to put magic lube lubricant around the caps and where the sealant is?
Always helps
Scotty what do you do for a living? Watched this so many times first year I was cleaning everything about the pool. You’re the coolest bro. Military background? Sports?
Just a regular old State Farm agent. Grew up in the country with a military dad. 🤙🏻
Thanks bro! Great tutorial and now I am ready to tackle this job
Several points you missed .. 1) remove, clean and lube the large O ring 2) torque the bolt to 150 lbs My filter is a DE filter so I would add about 6 to 7 lbs of DE
Thanks for your help! 🤙🏻
Thanks, but only part I'm still in question of is at the end when you say "When you're "sure" it's full" ------ ?? -- How do I make sure?? when the water starts spurtin out the open air nozzle??? --- if so, you need to simple say, "when water starts spurtin out air nozzle you're good to go" --- Not sure I did it right but my pump seems to be working, we'll see. Thanks just the same
Great video i rewatch every 3 or 4 months., but why do we have to wear gloves if you dont?
I go back to this video every time. Your the man bro
Ty Scott
I could've saved money sold it back yes gud
Could've been sold back for money yes gud

Thank you! Well explained and to the point.
Thank you
Thanks
I love when they show u without all the talking!! Straight to the point that’s helpful THX BRUDDA 🤝
I turned all Valves and there is still water dribbling out Is this going to stop??
I cant drain the shell. The outside lever that opens the drain won’t budge.
Most of our pipes and valves are underground and our main water supply is located inside; a few sprinkler heads are above ground. Will they be okay in 30 degree temp? 30 degree temp isnt prolonged...typically only a couple of hours overnight, as day time temps are above 50 degrees. Is it a good idea to run the sprinklers for a minute so it keeps the water moving? and will wrapping the heads with a sock help?
I prefer to drain the lines If they freeze and you try to run them they can bust
Thanks Scott, that’s why I love you tube for people like you sharing their knowledge and helping us to save money 🙏🏼
How often do those filters need to be replaced?
If you change them regularly they can last a few years.
“Clean them “
Open the air valve so you can easily take the top off
Wow this was easy to follow you step by step Scotty. I am going to try to change my filters now my-self and save some $$$.
Pour clorox on both pipes? I also have 2 pipes, not sure if I have to pour on both and should I put a cap on them
The video was terrible. Rookie moves and bad jokes also terrible
Thank you so very much for making this video. I did this with the help of a family friend and the encouragement of the wife. It worked out GREAT!
Thank you for your video. It really helped me. Really appreciate it
Love the Arnold Schwarzenegger impression LMAO
Dude, thanks! My husband and I just paid $200 to have this done! Never again! I can handle this myself! (Or watch him do it 😎)
Hello Scotty great video, I recently had my pool built how long do the filters last if you clean them every three months?
Every 6. I keep an extra set and swap them
Great video! You got to the point the right way. We’ve been having our Hayward system since 2007 and I learned so much from your video. Didn’t know about the plug in the back bottom for our thing. The lousy pool company was and still is terrible with customer support. Just wondering since we have an older system, the aluminum clamp on the filter housing has gotten corroded. Looks like it was poorly powder painted since it’s chipping badly. Would cleaning it up and painting it with some high end paint work rather than powder painting?
Thanks this video help me a lot, I'm a woman that accept to give maintenance at the pool my husband is a busy man so I have to learn how to clean all stuff in the pool when I see all that equipment I think oh my God what I can do or how do it
Good video man . Made it easy for my first time cleaning the filters.👍🏻
Maybe I missed it what do you set the pressure to on the air gauge
There is a green section that the pressure range should fall in
Open the drain first before taking lid off, release the water and pressure
Scotty B!! Best video I found thanks brotha
Dude…great video, extremely helpful. I had a lot of anxiety about doing this for the first time and this video was a perfect cure.
So helpful. Huge thank you. I used the video for my first time 5 months ago, getting ready for my second. Reviewed it. What size robo-grip? 7” or 10”? Thanks! I’m making my Amazon shopping list.
Super helpful and blue collar. Love the radio tip!
LOL, why not drain your water from bottom valve?
Indeed. Many have said this. It doesn’t make much difference tbh but probably is better to do that first.
Thank you. 70 yo old lady doing this job and I did it thanks to you!!!
First, open the air relief, the water will drain down. Then pull the drain plug from the base of the filter. Use a 3/4" socket on the nut side, you dont have to hold the bolt with the pliers. The lid raises easily so you dont get covered in fiberglass from the filter. Rinse the tank and oring of the filter, and put it all back together. Nice music.
