Cut out that elbow. Install Sanitary Tee (the right direction) Install an Air Admittance Valve (different brands available) Minimum of 4 inches above the trap on top of the Sanitary Tee. Then finish connections and then you call it a P Trap.

I like that trailer anti fishtailing setup. I know exactly what he is talking about, been there, a car cuts in front of you, and a sudden movement send the trailer into a wild fishtail, can be very dangerous.

Am I missing it or did you not provide the Nailer's model? I can't find anything on Dewalt or James Hardie sites that will just say that "this gun is good for Hardie Board." All they talk about are pneumatic guns and I have no access to power, hence my interest in battery. I've got 6 or 8 20v Dewalt batteries. Also, the Dewalt 20v Max has a lot of jamming complaints, was that the gun you used? If so how was that issue for you?

There is nothing tricky about that cut. This cut is about as easy and simple as they come. Maybe it’s tricky for you but that’s a simple cut
