Haven’t been doing much sewing lately but, I just started on a faux brick wall for my dining room and kitchen 🎉

You are so exceptionally talented! I would never have thought a knitting pattern could be translated into crochet. I can knit and crochet but am dependent on a pattern for anything except the simplest items. Your vest turned out perfectly. So pretty along with the bonnet. And I love your cooking and baking segments - very relaxing.

I’m a lazy swatcher 😅 I knit or crochet about an inch and say good enough. I’m currently working on the shawl collar to a 1950s knitted cardigan. My first almost finished project! Hope you feel better 😊

It turned out cute! I am making myself a wool coat, my first coat! And I am using tunisian crochet to make myself a winter hat with a big pom pom on it.

Working on a moss beanie (the yarn is like moss), a black cat bonnet, a cat vest, a striped cardigan 😅

Ok was sure about the Bonnet trend but after seeing your project, I need to add it to my winter wardrobe like ASAP ( once I also finish my current vest project lol ) My current vest project, is a low v neck vest using lions brand wool ease fair isle in pink/ mushroom, I'm also doing a ribbed edge but using two wands hue + me in haze which perfectly match the mushroom color ( probably bc it also lions brand too lol that was definitely not on purpose but glad I found a perfect match ) It currently 4/6th done and need to finish half of one side and the ribbing so I should be one in either a week or 2 months depending on motivation lol

I've not been a good guage swatcher either, but I've recently worked out that if you do a reasonable size square, say 10cm, you can use it as a pocket. If not on the outside then tucked away inside somewhere.

As a Dutch person it was really funny and surprising to see you make a banketstaaf, with proper Dutch name and all! I think I’ve never in my life seen anyone make those themselves. They are very festive and normal here, but also very much something people just buy. (And we get them as a big log, cut of a piece and we eat them as is without anything on it)

My family is so old school we have a record player for the classic Christmas music. Also hearty recommendation for the Paladin series! The fourth book came out in 2024 and there's a planned 7 total. I found them yesterday at my local bookstore and blew my book budget getting Paladin's Grace because I had literally never seen them on a shelf before!

I've also been obsessed with that belt! There is a nice lady in Italy who made perfect replicas, but I'm not interested in paying $50 for shipping which is half of her belt. She did use resin so between the two of you I should be able to create my own, hopefully

The obe thing I would change is giving Galinda more color. Like, Elle Woods's and Barbie's signature color is pink, it's what we associate with them very strongly, but they don't literally wear nothing but pink, whereas Galinda pretty much does, aside from the Ozdust dress. I understand wanting her to stand out and such, but at least the clothes on the racks in her room could have more variation.

Yes!! I'm so happy to find this video, after watching Paul Tazewll speak about the costuming in interviews I really wanted to see some more appreciation for the costuming in the movie because it was phenomenal!

This was so much fun to watch. I remember being OBSESSED with a book called Paper Fashions in the mid-2000s, made by Klutz. It was a genius book/craft kit; it had clothing and model stencils, so you could use any kind of paper you wanted to make your own creations that would fit the template doll. They don’t make them anymore, sadly…you can only find very expensive ones on eBay 😢 Such a shame we didn’t keep them, it would have been a wonderful keepsake toy for my daughter!

I loved paper dolls as a young girl. I used to browse a site called Marilee's Paper Doll Page every day haha. I've seen some modern paper dolls made with magnets to attach the clothes instead of tabs. Maybe you'd find that easier? Happy Holidays! 🎉
