As i bought my 72 F350 4x4 New , it did Not have Power steering 😮 oyea !! But a old frame and wheel man that had a shop in Placerville , Ca. Sent me to the Wrecking yard and i got a power steering box out of a 2wd international travelall , yes a bolt it item ! Off a F600 power steering pomp with the cooler on the pump& bracket , and Never had a Problem after that !! Pickup is Still running the roads for firewood

while i appreciate the work that goes into something like this, the original interior looks so much better. wish it wasnt modernized, but just cleaned up. modern interior design is a travesty. but good work nonetheless!

The actual year of this trailer is 1935 according to old ads I found and the original sales brochure.

My impression is that the bed that is there now is much bigger than what the trailer had originally, and during the reno it crowded out the shower space. And the bed takes up so much room, how would you change the sheets? I'm a tall person but that bedroom space looks too crowded to me, and the no-shower really takes away from the convenience of using the trailer. I'd do without the full kitchen before I'd do without a shower! I'm not a cook anyway...a fridge, microwave, sink and toaster oven would be enough! My grandparents had a couple wood travel trailers from the early 50s, and they did have all that great birchwood interior stuff. Nice. And those had the original barkcloth curtains, barkcloth upholstery and throw pillows and funky vintage light fixtures and porcelain tschotkes (sp?) that were de rigueur in those days. This is a beautiful unit, and that leather sofa is awesome.

Somebody needs an attitude adjustment--this is a large trailer. "Tiny" trailers are tricycles, teardrops...not these beautiful vehicles with beds, kitchen nooks, closets, and kitchens. It's stunning!

Cool! Unrelated question - I have a ‘65 Shasta Compact, and was covering it in the winter, we get some snow in Central Oregon, sometimes several feet. But then my brother said that the latest thoughts on RV covers are that they do more damage, by trapping moisture inside, and that leaving them uncovered helps them “breathe”. Thoughts?

We have a modern travel trailer, but I’m obsessed with these vintage ones. If I had the money and space to store one I’d buy one for sure, and if I ever become a widow or something, I would 100% live in one. I’d live in one now but my husbands over 6 ft, and the short trips we take with our smallish camper are already a struggle for him 😂 but I love this so much. Not much to clean, I know I’m capable of fixing most common issues that would arise, it would be cheaper to live. And the vintage ones are so solid and beautiful. This one is in amazing shape, and I hope it finds a super caring home ❤️ Also my favorite part about vintage trailers, is they use pretty much all standard household fixtures, like they were designed to be lived in if that was what you wanted to do, it makes it super heavy as does all the wood and such, but i see these as something you’d keep some where for long periods of time anyway, or for show purposes. I wouldn’t change anything except maybe the bed lol. Even tho it’s super awesome it’s original. I really like this trailer! lol.

My parents had blue ‘53 Anderson 8x40 just like this one and wondered if this one was actually my parent’s? My parent traded this trailer to a gentleman for his ‘55 crown Victoria in early 60’s as they bought a house to start a family

What an absolutely beautiful trailer! I would compare this to today's Luxe or the DRV in today''s 5th wheel standards to compare this era option and likely price! My good friend has a 1951 Spartan Royal Spartanette he's using as his residence as he builds his custom home here in Arizona. It's not restored to original though in beautiful condition regardless. I've mentioned to him a few times for he and I to restore his when his home build adventures are completed. This one, in it's restored condition is awesome! If only the heater could be found to finish it off! Very very beautiful trailer right here.
