01:14:35 - This is where great griot Carl Niehaus gives us a Masterclass on the history of Nationalist politics in South Africa. The push by the Afrikaners to put underprivileged Afrikaners before everyone else and empower them under D.F. Malan, ironically, is the same template employed by the EFF today. For some reason though, we allow the media and the private Capital who control it to brainwash us into believing that deliberately establishing SOEs for wealth and job creation for the poor majority black citizens is immortal and unwise. Anyways, it's the part at 41:12 that made me to start following Comrade Carl Niehaus! His first narrated this very revealing story about Tambo and Ramaphosa on the EFF podcast. 😂❤

The Cosatu leadership visited the ANC and met the leadership in 1986, which consisted of OR Tambo, Dan Tloome, and Thomas Nkobi. The Cosatu leadership also included Jay Naidoo, Sydney Mufamadi, Cyril Ramaphosa, James Motlatsi and Daniel Dube. It was in this meeting that OR Tambo gave the longest and most emotional hug to Ramaphosa to demonstrate his deep appreciation of the revolutionary role the union was playing in the country. This is contrary to lies and misinformation you may have seen on social media, namely that Tambo saw Ramaphosa for the first time at the first post-unbanning conference of the ANC in 1991, held in Durban. The lie is that Tambo asked who this guy was when seeing Ramaphosa for the first time. What a lie! Carl Niehaus continued to lie about Cyril Ramaphosa statement by Zwelinzima Vavi

So cheap of the interviewer to seek to find crack to drive a wedge in, the questioning line alone tells he's a typical South African moulded journalist,, they've been on the hunt for Zuma's close associates purely to asked but this one question,, they're so predictable it's a shame for people calling themselves "professionals" as though certification is professionalism! The GNU was a transition government in the first place, with a limited life span. In the 2nd elections the ANC was the rightful leader/government of the country bcis it again gained the majority and everybody agreed that the classic model will be followed. The purpose of GNU had been exhausted.

  • @maryntuli5889

4:49 No one exploited the GNU, all the negotiations had been done under the sunset clause. My brother 'the host' wake up! the government is not running a business but a devastating country. The idea of selling the state own enterprises will destroy the little that is left. Just as the Apartheid government used SOEs to improve the disadvantaged whites the government ought to do the same thing. In fact government must take some privates companies. Think of the power security guards and cleaners who work 12 hours in the private, think if people who lack proper housing and water in the rurals. The government must be in the game of balancing the imbalances in the society. What's the use of profit is some families cannot afford to buy a bread for the whole month, where is wellbeing when some people can't have more than one poor meal in a day and a sixty years old black is renting a 1 room in Tembisa with nothing else, where is respect and dignity for black elders?
