That’s some serious wiring. Question. I replaced the knocking cable in my 87 Vw golf GTI, 1.8. Now it cranks but NO spark. Replaced the distributor, it is now at a 3rd shop to look at. I have watched mechanics do power tests on coil, fuel pump, all point that are important and still no answers. Might you have any suggestions. Tks

Hi, nice video. What about some camber plates that extend the strut tower a bit, have you looked into that? I think that is a MK2 go to, to help the suspension travels and get some lowering.

Great video, I honestly would like at the end for you to have shown the car a little bit more in detail different angles, and how your clearance is from the shocks at front. I'm thinking maybe of going slightly bigger then yours with a 33 which would be 285/70r17 with maybe a one inch spacer or a different off set wheel for a slightly bigger clearance. nevertheless that video helped alot.

If coolant gone not because the cap was loose, check your turbo, if there is a leak when turbo and engine met its the common engine crack problem, they fix it in 2022 version, if you have anything under 2022 or very late 2021 you might have engine cracking

Good quality large battery…a 096 size…a insulated battery cover aswell as the outer hard plastic shell battery cover…genuine borsh glow plugs replaced every 2yrs…not becouse there no good after two years ..becouse if there left in too long they can break off/snap when trying to remove as they are delicate and it’s a costly job getting a snapped plug out….fuel filter changed out every 7000 miles and regular injector cleaner added to fuel every 5 full fuel tanks…do a half ignition glow plug cycle 5 times before cranking over if no start after 10 starter cranks ..repeat and try again

Just happened to me at my dad's shop fixing it now on my 2009 Fit sport. 6 it isn't the transmission. it only has 119k miles. Update paid 65 bucks for the piece and car is driving like butter lol

Power steering for the win

amazing video, so amped too see some great progress with your 16v, I missed driving mine so much, I need to get out and do some driving. maybe some auto X

Power steering is okay for the street but, can make driving fast tricky and always leaks a bit. The autotech manual racks are my choice. Had them in 2 mk2's and my mk1. If you gut the power steering rack(lots of work), and use a mk1 pulley, that works well also.

Tip.... If the hook is the problem i would using cable tie strap to hold it in place so it never comes loose again 😊
