Power steering for the win

amazing video, so amped too see some great progress with your 16v, I missed driving mine so much, I need to get out and do some driving. maybe some auto X

Power steering is okay for the street but, can make driving fast tricky and always leaks a bit. The autotech manual racks are my choice. Had them in 2 mk2's and my mk1. If you gut the power steering rack(lots of work), and use a mk1 pulley, that works well also.

Tip.... If the hook is the problem i would using cable tie strap to hold it in place so it never comes loose again 😊

if you have automatic gearbox check also fuse number 31 that is responsible for (transmission control module) because it will not see gearbox (helped in my situation)

Check the transmission fluid dipstick. My Fit started to flash D. Checked the transmission fluid and it low. Added some more fluid and the flashing D went away. I've put a 100 miles on the car since then and no problems. I'm crossing my fingers this worked.

It happened to me today out the blue. Engine light came on, D flashing. Transmission won't shit into 5th gear. 1-4 gears working. I can hear a winey sound. I have a 2008 model.

My doesnt crank aswell, but disconnecting and reconnecting battery works?

Great video! I'll share a situation, then pose a question. Situation: I'm working on a 16v with weber dcoe carbs and MSD 6AL2 but the weber carbs seems to have serious vacuum leak issues and is preventing me from tuning it properly. I'm digging deeper but it doesn't seem like all cylinders are firing... I'm tempted to buy bike carbs to replace the webers to determine if the carbs are the actual issue and your set of videos are a great help. Question: In my setup for ignition, I only have the MSD 6AL-2. For your setup, I see you have the 6AL, a Tach adapter and spark timing control. I assume the 6AL and 6AL2 are almost equivalent... can you please share why you got the Tach adapter and the spark timing control on top of the 6AL?

Why didn't you go with the non powersteering alternanor? I'm running it on mine as it's spring loaded and sits much lower. Just need the alternator along with the bracket, spring and 5/6 puk Serpentine belt
