I prefer the comics version of the verbal destruction Homelander took. Essentially what was said was that Homelander just does what any dude with power and a grievance would. He’s not special and he’s unoriginal. All the way down to the lowest street thug HL is no different

I find it interesting and concerning that so many people find it badass or something how Edgar shows he clearly doesn’t care about Homelander at all, and not absolutely terrifying. The fact that he feels nothing for him when he should be feeling overwhelming GUILT seems to have missed so many people because they are focused on HL being the stereotypical “bad guy”. Yes HL is evil and emotionally fvcked up...but who made him like that? These people, this company, literally made a whole ass person! Like it was nothing more than rolling out their next big hit from the factory line, then tortured and abused him from the moment of his conception (because this started even before his birth) to the point he is completely unable to function like a normal person, or even understand basic humanity is the true evil of this show. The fact Edgar and his ilk are the real monsters here is terrifying because they are REAL. Everyone else like HL is fantasy and therefore not as scary because there are no people with super powers like that in real life....but you know there are people like Stan Edgar. Who wouldn’t think twice about so completely destroying and playing with people’s lives for the sake of profit or personal gain. Calling him “bad product” and meaning it should be terrifying to people, because not only does it show he STILL doesn’t see HL as a person but he also doesn’t seem to feel any responsibility whatsoever for all the damage his “product” has caused. Damage that potentially could’ve been prevented if Edgar and Vought actually had any humanity in them at all. (Like what happened to Becca). Even the Dr who made him finally recognised this and took accountability in the end. Edgar says HL is not a god, but isn’t that exactly what they were trying to do by creating him in the first place? Playing god? Any story in human history will tell you that is a bad idea. To me it feels a bit like when Magneto calls himself “Frankenstein’s monster”. Sure Magneto himself is objectively a villain, but who do you hate more, him or Sebastian Shaw?

You know the funny thing is that HL only kills when they're scared of him. That's why he is trying to get under his skin. To break him down to feel superior so he can get the laugh. Stan Edgar is right so far! Season 4 Episode 6, Sister Sage was incapable to cover for him at the time and the wealthy politicians saw right through Homelander. He needed Victoria to cover for him. It’s just the first of many steps

Surprising how Edgar can walk with the weight of those tremendous balls.

Stan burned him worse than homlander's heat vision as he walked away.

Stan Edgar is definitely my favorite character in the show. And I’m not gonna lie, I DEFINITELY see this actor as Lex Luthor. He may have voiced him in that Harley Quinn show. But he should play the live action version.

The moment that I love, when Homelander is walking by him talking about how he was previously intimidated, and Edgar just looks back at him with a contemptuous smirk.

Homelander’s hatred of Stan is understandable, since Stan was one of the architects of HL’s suffering and creation, so when Stan always gets the better of HL, it’s almost disturbing since in most circumstances we would be rooting for HL, but since we all know how much of a POS HL is, we almost end of taking Edgar’s side. Both of them are terrible and vile men. HL is like an enforcer or executioner, doing the dirty deeds himself a lot of the time because he enjoys it, while Stan is someone who has zero remorse or empathy for anyone and will gladly let HL run around and kill or dismember countless people as long as Vought’s assets are kept safe. Stan is a true psychopath, born not made, unlike HL. He is a man who truly doesn’t care about anyone else, and while his lack of fear for anything including HL is admirable and badass, he shouldn’t be praised. He was one of the men who created HL, and is in many ways the author of his atrocities.

Edgar is all alone with the world's most powerful psycho-sup, but he's not intimidated one bit and humiliates Homelander. Definitely one of my favorite scenes from The Boys.

Coming back to this scene after the latest episode really makes Stan Edgar seem so much more evil. He knew how Homelander was being tortured by Vogelbaum and the other scientists, and he approved. Now he has the nerve to call him bad product? John never had a chance to be anything but an emotionally stunted psychopath. Edgar became evil all by himself.

Honestly people who keep calling Edgar Badass or are all like "take that, homelander! " completely miss the point of this scene. Stan Edgar is a goddamn monster and this scene actually makes me feel for Homelander, especially if you remember what Edgar put him through SINCE HE WAS YOUNGER THAN A TODDLER. Dude is ego driven and evil to the core.
