Does anyone know wich monitor reference are those?
These are Samsung G5 32".
Thank you for this video!
thanks a lot. helped me to mount my bottom mount seat without headache
THX this the easiest way to mount those things :)
Hello, super thanks for your presentation. Are you still satisfied with the G5 32 because I hesitate between the G5 and the G7 in 32 inches. The price difference is because even very important between the two screens.
For the price, the G5 is hard to beat. We're happy with the 144hz refresh rate, but the G7 would be recommended if you want 240hz.
Hi !What size screens are these?
These are Samsung G5 32" 1000r curved monitors.
Great video! I am going to be doing the exact same setup this weekend when my 2 additional 32' G5s arrive so this saves me a lot of trial and error😛 What angle are the monitor arms set at and how far is the centre monitor away from the seat? Thank you!
Unfortunately I'm not sure what the angles were here. Some of it comes down to personal preference. For the distance from the seat, you generally want the center monitor above the wheel base and as close to the wheel as possible.
great video., what monitors are those ?
Those are Samsung G5 1000R monitors. They're a great monitor for the price!
@@RacingCockpits are those 34" ? i am looking at G8 and those looks good too., cant decide which one to go for., Thank you,.
@@michaelkopec.5814 I believe these were 32".
we were really struggling getting our heads around both sets of SimLab instructions, this video hit like an ice cold beer on a warm summer's day. thanks so much!
Finally set up my PRO. This rig is amazing! Solid, Stable, and Quality through and through. The Fit and Finish are excellent. It's just as nice as pictured in all the videos shown. The guys at RCP were very helpful during and after the order process. I am totally satisfied with this rig. Holds my Fanatec wheel and pedals as well as my Real Car seat perfectly. I'm having an absolute blast with the Cockpit Pro! Thanks for making such an excellent Rig and thanks for all the assistance!
muchas gracias!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! de verdad, este video me ha ayudado muchisimo
Thank you for your time to make this video. Have a healthy good time!
What monitors are you using?
The monitors used in the video are Samsung G5, 32" with a 1000r curve.
@@RacingCockpits Oh nice, can you recommend them or do you have other preferences?
@@RabbitConfirmed We actually still use them on our main setup in the office. They're a great deal if you don't want to spend the cash on the G9 series.
@@RacingCockpits I actually own a G9 for my gaming setupd. Wouldn't you say a 32:9 is less good than triples? From what I've seen, triples are superior, but idk.. What do you think? Do you just use one 32:9 instead or?
@@RabbitConfirmed It really just comes down to personal preference and system performance. It's always easier on a PC to only use one monitor. A triple monitor setup will give you a much wider view, but also takes more to setup on top of the cost of three monitors.
This guy is a legend!
I use the Sim Labs Vario Vesa Adapter Kit it makes youre life with mounting youre monitors even more easier
This looks like the setup I want to build this summer. If you still have this could you measure the width? I’d want this cockpit with the same 32” G9s and don’t have a ton of space. So I’m wondering if it’ll fit.
The width of the cockpit is approximately 55" using these G5 32" 1000R curved screens.
thank you for the video, was so useful!
thanks alot for the guide, its the best one i could find on youtube. however, i have to ask why is your seat flexing alot while you are driving, is it not tightened enough ? what is the cause ?
A keen observation! You can also see that the cockpit itself is moving as well. That's from the Sigma Integrale motion system on our demo setup.
Just ordered one today.
Do you have a video on constructing the extruded aluminum monitor system?
We don't have a video on building the stand, unfortunately. If you have purchased one, please reach out to our support and they can provide a .PDF manual.
U the real mvp, king
Thanks for the video on this. It looks like the Simlab GT1 Evo instructions have you mount it all on the rig first and then install the seat. However, your approach seems to be a lot easier especially for a beginner doing this the first time. Looking forward to trying out this method once my seat and seat slider kit arrive!
😊😊
love it, answered all my questions - now I need to see you race
Do you recommend getting the cockpit mounted monitor stand? Or freestanding? Torn between the two, don't want the monitors to be vibrating/moving while racing
We haven't had any issues with our integrated mounts moving while racing. Freestanding mounts can give a little more adjustability as well as being able to hold larger monitors. For instance, if you have a Sport Series cockpit put need a Pro Series Freestanding Mount. We also recommend a freestanding mount if you're using a motion system as an integrated mount may damage the monitors. We have freestanding mounts available for both our Sport and Pro Series mounts in both single and triple configurations. They're not currently on the website, but if you send us a text, e-mail or message we can create the order for it!
Are these 32 or 27 G5s?
All three are 32"
I will def reference this once my pro gets here. My wheel is mounted in a TV tray now and it’s a bit unstable! I can’t wait to see how my triple 27” look on this.
Torque specs: 1.5 ooga's
Why all these tutorials show side mount way, and not base mount. 😮 also you say push down with thumb to get them to slide, but I can't find any part that does this.
The side mount option is popular because it allows for easy seat adjustment for height and angle. Nothing wrong with a bottom mount though! The part to push down on, as mentioned at 2:30, to get it to slide is the silver latch that the slider bar attached to later.
@RacingCockpits I will order side mount brackets and return the slider. I ill use in fixed position, its only me that uses the rig. I never want to see another seat slider in my life.

What monitors are you using?
In this video we're using the Samsung 32" G5 1000R.
Great guid!!! Are you still running the g5? And would you recommend them.
The G5 setup is still running strong! For the price they're a great monitor. For a little extra, the step up to a G7 is also a good option.
You rock! Thank you!
Hi, quick question, how close is your eyes to your monitor?
The distance with this setup is about 27" - 35" depending on the seat. It could be a little closer, but we have to allow room for the motion system.
#1 thing to make sure before doing anything is make sure the brace that holds the monitors is level. If it isn’t the side monitors will have a huge gap at the top. Also use black electrical tape to pull them together perfectly and seal the seam so no light gets through. This will save you hours of frustration
I second the tape suggestion. It took my "just alright" aligment to now perfect. I cant even tell whwre the two other screens begin when playing
What monitors are they? How did you know what angle to set the side monitors
The monitors in this video are the 32" G5 Odyssey 1000R Curved Screen. We've since swapped out the middle monitor for a 32" G5 flat screen. We find that it gives a more immersive feel over a curved center screen. The angle of the side monitors largely depends on personal preference for Field-of-View (FOV) settings.
@@RacingCockpits No it isn’t personal preference you must use fov calculator that will tell you what angle to set the side screen too relative to your eye distance and screen sizes once you input that into the calculator not only does the FOV Calculator give you the FOV to set but also what angle to set the side screens
I got to the seat install part of the instructions and I was like, I have no idea what I'm doing! then I found this video. This is invaluable Eric! thank you for this. You explained it really well, though of cause I installed the sliders already on the rig before I looked at the seat per the instructions. Still wasn''t too bad. Biggest issue? Dragging two beers before had made following the instructions harder! LOL.
You ever had an issue with the brackets on these prisma seats being misaligned? I got my slider on and it’s kinda bent more towards one side. The only thing that looks off to me is one of the brackets seems like maybe a half inch closer to the front of the seat
Yes, this is a good thing to bring up. This is somewhat due to the nature of the NRG molded seats. We designed our seat rail extrusions to be fully adjustable and independent so you can still get everything straight even if the fronts or backs are closer or different side to side.
Yea but wat if I don't have a five axes adjustment. Why can't you just put that in the title?
are these samsung g5 27 inch?
These are the 32" G5 Odyssey 1000R Curved Screen
How do you managed to get it so perfect without using the vario that everyone says it’s a MUST !!!
@offdapace2627 it is needed once he starts to drive and the FFB causes the monitor to shake slightly they will come out of sync and need readjusting (I’ve been building sim rigs for 10 years plus) Also the vesa plates are not designed to be used to level the screen that’s just a hack and good idea but not by design. The vario adaptors will allow you to lock it into place so they never ever move again
Hey here from jed channel hopefully soon i will be looking into getting a setup
yeah i definitely have my sliders upside down 😂
Hey really nice and helpful video... What is the best distance between our head and monitor...? I use 34 ultra wide monitor's..
Generally it's best to have the center monitor as close as possible without interfering with your wheel. Our setup needs a little extra clearance due to the motion system, but is still about 27"- 35" from the center screen to our head position.
@@RacingCockpits thanks mate..!!!
"Promosm" 😍
I hope the photo shoot went well!
Very well explained. 👍
Thanks!
Can you please post more videos? I’m definitely considering buying one!! Keep it up.
