Audi A6 High Pressure Fuel Pump Installation
In this video, I show you how to install Integrated Engineering's High Pressure Fuel to fix a low pressure check engine light I had. (P0087) My car is a 2012 Audi A6 3.0T but this part will work with any car with the Audi 3.0 supercharged V6.

    Great video. I just installed my 034 piston upgrade on my oump and my car is running very well now with my stage 2 tune. I did want to add that after installing in getting a strong fuel smell right above the fuel pump ive sprayed all the connections on and around the fuel pump with soapy water and there's no sign of leaks or visible bubbling. It's even stronger after I shut off the engine. I'm also not getting any fuel codes as well. Not sure at this point why in getting the strong fuel smell after installing

      @@lunchmoney3652 yea that's pretty strange, my first guess would be it's definitely leaking somewhere but not seeing anything is weird. Maybe could be somewhere else down the line or an evap issue but I'd think the car would throw a code for that. If you have the ability to data log, look at the high pressure and make sure it's in spec with what 034 says it should be at and that should tell you if you are leaking or not. I noticed when my pump went out, the car wouldn't say it was down on pressure until it was stumbling and trying to stall.

      @MaximumTriangle okay let me run some logs and send them to my tuner with 034 specs

    I have a 2014 A7 3.0 Supercharger Premium Plus. On Highway 400 miles then (115 degree weather) Check engine light & FPC light turned on. Towed 100 miles all lights off after tow no problem. Went for emission failed P0087 & P0089 codes. Saw 2 videos yours front high pressure fuel pump & the other rear under the rear seat fuel pump whose codes were the same FCP light on dash. Which pump should be replace since my dash lights are off. Thank you so much

    Hi there. May I ask where and how much did you purchase that high pressure fuel pump? I payed off a 2015 audi a6 2.0t premium plus. Recently having trouble to start the vehicle. Takes 4 or more cranks to start. The repair guy told me the fuel pump need be replaced. So I’m just wondering if my 2.0 uses the same fuel pump S your 3.0?

    Did you flush the lines etc before doing this? I know audi recommends changing the fuel tank and all the lines when doing this job

    cant you remove the paint with nailpolish remover?

    • @MaximumTriangle
      @MaximumTriangle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could but I wouldn't recommend because acetone can eat at many plastics and ruin it. I would test first under the needle where you can't see.

    This is great! But after putting the needles back on the cluster do I need to calibrate them? I’m afraid that the needles won’t be accurate again. I hope this would be noticed, thank you so much!

    Good idea, on your next video speak up some. You sound like an audio book talking quiet before something happens. Ever use hi-vis orange marking paint, spray in cup and brush on. Really pops!

    hey bro . thanks for video . so i went up and bought new needles and went to the mechanic to install them . he said he cant do it . because the needles in my car 1996 tahoe. wouldnt zero down when i turn off the engine . except for the speedo and taco . he said he can do it on news cars that zero out when you switch off the engine . got me confused . whats the best way to do it ? should i do it at cold start numbers ? or at warm numbers and take a tape and mark where the needles where pointing . i know i sound dumb . thank you for the video

    • @MaximumTriangle
      @MaximumTriangle 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not dumb at all! He is right that these trucks don't zero when they are turned off though. I suggest you get it to a warm idle and all the gauge stay in a stable position. Take a few pictures from a couple of angles to get a good idea of where they sit. Tape is also something you can do for extra precaution. Then put the needles back loosely as it takes a couple tries and a steady hand to get it right. Once it's where you want it, you can push it down to keep it in place. I recommend you do that for the tach and speedo as ive had them be off a bit after doing this and not paying attention. I do a footage of me doing this that I just haven't gotten around to editing yet so stick around if you want a visual tutorial. Hope this helps!
