Minecraft Preview 1.21.50.25 A Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Preview Oh good! You found me! I’ve been wandering around the pale garden ever since the last preview and beta update - and let me tell you - the creaking isn’t the best roommate. Luckily this week two new features are coming to the pale garden: resin, and eyeblossoms! Resin is a new block that you can craft after an encounter with the creaking (try asking it to wash its dishes…) and eyeblossoms are a flower unique to the pale garden, that bloom at night. They even bloom with a bit of an orange glow, so perhaps they’ll help me find my way out! Here’s what else is new this week: New Features and Bug Fixes Resin Resin Clumps are a new multi-face block: Dropped by the Creaking Heart when it is destroyed Placed around the Creaking Heart when its Creaking is attacked Can be crafted into a Block of Resin Can be hardened into Resin Bricks in a furnace Can be used to trim armor Resin Bricks can be crafted into the Resin Brick set: Brick block Stairs Walls Slabs Chiseled Resin Brick block Both can be found in Chests in the Woodland Mansion Blocks of Resin can be crafted into a Creaking Heart using two Pale Oak Logs Eyeblossom Eyeblossoms are new flowers that generate in the Pale Garden biome. Preview 1.20.80.22 added a grayed-out toggle for Hardcore mode, which had Hardcore mode misspelled as "Harcore mode". Later, Slicedlime jokingly tweeted "It's the mode where the lave [sic] is extra dangerous."[6]

The longest Hardcore world record lasted for 5 years. It ended in April 2019 when a baby zombie and a spider killed the record holder in a cave. A splash text called "Ph1lza had a good run!" was added in reference of him.[5]

When a Hardcore mode world is loaded on a version released prior to Hardcore mode, the world is converted into a Survival world. Loading this world in a version featuring Hardcore mode does not revert the world back to Hardcore mode.

When Notch announced Hardcore mode on Twitter, he jokingly posted an image of an 'ultra hardcore' mode where the premium status of the player's account is revoked on death.[3][4] This is not to be confused with the custom game mode of Ultra Hardcore, which was invented later.

Hardcore mode is an option for multiplayer, and its functions are similar to those in singleplayer. All players have Hardcore mode enabled - it is impossible to have some players in Hardcore and some not. Server operators can use the /gamemode command to change the game mode of themselves or another player.

However, it is possible to enable cheats through the Open to LAN feature in the pause menu. From here, the player can, while spectating the world after death, type /gamemode survival to bring themselves back to Survival mode, being able to play again by cheating death.

It is normally impossible to toggle Hardcore mode once the world has been created, though it is possible to use external programs such as NBTExplorer to change it by setting the hardcore tag to either 1 (hardcore) or 0 (normal).

Hardcore mode is specific to worlds, not players; the variable determining whether the world is in Hardcore mode is saved in level.dat. Thus, the player can use /gamemode creative (if cheats are enabled) to set themselves to Creative mode. Players in Creative mode while on a Hardcore mode world still see Hardcore mode's death screen upon death.

When creating a Hardcore mode world, the Enable Cheats, Starting Map ‌[Bedrock Edition only] and Bonus Chest world options are locked to OFF. On the world selection menu, Hardcore mode worlds display dark red text reading "Hardcore Mode!"

The key feature of Hardcore mode is that the player is not given the option to respawn upon death as they would in other game modes. Instead, the option to respawn is replaced with "Spectate world", which sets the player to Spectator mode and respawns the player at the world's spawn point. The "Title screen" button functions as normal; re-opening the world simply returns to the same death screen. In addition, Hardcore mode worlds are restricted to Hard difficulty, being the second key feature.

Hardcore is a variant of Survival and one of the main game modes in Minecraft. In this mode, the world is locked to Hard difficulty and the player cannot respawn after dying.

Hardcore mode - now on Realms for Bedrock and Java Hardcore mode has existed on Minecraft: Java Edition for a while, but today marks the first day friends can experience the thrill (and the pain!) of this punishing Survival mode together via a realm! That’s right - Hardcore mode is now available on realms in both Bedrock and Java Edition. So if the thought of venturing into the hardest Survival mode of Minecraft by yourself fills you with fear, then grab your realm buddies, and take on the challenge together! Have each other's backs as you work to survive, or play against one another in the most Hardcore PvP challenge you’ve ever attempted. And if you’re not sure how to set up a realm on Java Edition or Bedrock Edition, you can find some help here. Make sure to also check out the Java and Bedrock changelogs. We’re confident that Hardcore mode will run smoothly for most Bedrock players, but we’re still working on quashing some smaller bugs. Two of these impact multiplayer gameplay - one related to low internet speeds, and another when replacing a Creative mode Realm with a Hardcore mode world. While we develop a fix for these final bugs, we recommend all players regularly back up their worlds and check our changelog for more detailed information on factors that might trigger them. In fact, that advice applies to anyone playing on Hardcore mode. Regularly back up your worlds! Hardcore mode - new for Bedrock Edition They didn’t call Hardcore mode “easy-peasy Survival” for one very good reason - it’s the exact opposite of that. In Hardcore mode, the game’s difficulty is locked to the hardest setting, and you only have one life. That means if you die, you can’t respawn - and you’ll only be able to spectate your worlds! So unless pretending to be a ghost in your own Minecraft world, you’ll want to keep an eye on your hunger bar. And watch out for pesky hostile mobs. Oh, and steep cliffs, your bubble-meter, and anything else that might cause you to de-spawn in spectacular fashion. Ehm, good luck with that!

Declutter your inventory with bundles Bundles aren’t just a stylish way to give gifts to your fellow Realm members - they’re nifty organization tools that’ll help you manage your ever-expanding inventory. Bundles are an item that can store other items - but unlike chests or barrels, which need to be placed, bundles can be kept in your inventory. In other words, they can travel wherever you do!* *OK, technically putting a chest on a donkey/llama can also travel with you. But have you ever tried to put a donkey in your inventory? No. That’s just for bundles! (Donkey eggs do not count.) Bundles can combine stacks of items together - so those three oak wood planks, six different flowers, and four types of stairs can all find a home neatly in your bundle. The bundles tooltip also makes it easy for you to add, view, and remove items as often as you want. Finally, if you feel like engaging in some bundle-ception (not a word), you can also store bundles within bundles. That is, as long as the bundle you’re storing in another bundle isn’t full! Phew. That was a tongue twister, wasn’t it?
