Join me as I share some of my machine shop projects, hit and miss engines, wood working, ham radio (KK5IM), Sn3 scale model railroading as well as some interesting history and stories of Texas. I’m not holding myself out as an expert on anything!

I’m a sixth-generation Native Texan- my family arriving in 1836.

My professional career includes advertising and marketing, newspaper-radio-television news (including stints in production and engineering) and professional photography. I continue to shoot commercial work, mostly multi-family real estate properties across the southwest.

In 2012, I built a 40 x 80 “Man Cave” at our new ranch. It is fully equipped with separate “shops” for my main passions: woodworking, machine shop, electronics, model railroading and reloading and vintage and modern amateur radio station. Since we don’t use darkrooms anymore, my office is fully set-up for both still and video digital production.
