    OK, not the leanest game but still a victory. You don't have to be perfect, just better than your opponent. Endgame play is neglected by so many players but it will get you more victories than openings. Congrats on the victory over the 2000. You don't have to believe that you can beat a good player, now you KNOW it. Keep up the good work and I love the channel.

    • @Redneckchessclub

      Thank you buddy. I had so many misses in that game. Idk what I was doing 😂 the end game really seems to be neglected by so many people. I watch videos of people much higher rated than me that just don’t seem to really… idk understand maybe or I mean not that I’m the best but I feel like a lot people just want to learn tricky openings or something and don’t spend much time studying the end game. The end game to me is the part I’ve spent the most time working on. If you can’t checkmate me in the middle game you’re going to have to outplay me in the endgame and I won’t make it easy.

    Some excellent advice here. Just because the computer recommends a move that is objectively the best, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good move for you as a player. Sometimes making less accurate, but practical moves that you understand is the best way to progress.

    The cardiac kid does it again ! Nice game Bill. One small point, at 9:19 Ne5 looks better threatening both the fork and c4. It looks like he has to play either Bf1 or Qf1, both miserable moves. It also allows Bg4 grabbing space and clearing the back rank. In the comments I noticed someone asked about c5 instead of e5. As you grow in the KID you will find that it depends on what white plays as to which one is correct. Good job and on to 1500.

    • @Redneckchessclub
      @Redneckchessclub 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes Ne5 was the move. It also threatened to win a pawn and I completely over looked that. You’d think as much time as I had already spent thinking about the position I should have seen that 🤦🏼‍♂️

    • @Redneckchessclub
      @Redneckchessclub 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So I haven’t but to be fair I’ve only played it maybe 4 times or so. I used to play the Slav but kept getting destroyed in it and decided to try something new. Don’t prefer the c5 break? I have leaned more towards e5 because it potentially opens the king has been my logic for playing it that way.

    • @dangordon324
      @dangordon324 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Redneckchessclub Fair enough man, you played well here either way. I noticed you contemplating the two and was just curious. That’s interesting, I primarily play the Caro, but I also dip into the Slav from time to time. Yes, I would say e5 is more aggressive while c5 is potentially more positional

    You can click on Highlights button at the end of the review section and it takes you back to the first thing they show. It's been that way for me for a couple of months for me opted into the beta, it takes a little getitng used to, the biggest thing I don't like about it, is on the old review system, you could hit retry on your blunders and stuff, and it would say "Updated Accuracy after retries". Which was good to know, for me anyway to see basically, how much a blunder or mistake hurt your accuracy, it was different for different blunders, so probably not the most useful metric, but still interesting to me.

    My analysis of game 1: 2:36 Na4 I think is just wasting moves, you need to defend the d4 pawn, you attacked the queen so it retreats to a better square while your knight is useless on the rim of the board, you'll need more moves to make you knight relevant once again, and you're pawn still not supported, I would instead go Ne2, prepare c3, then reroute the knight. 3:20 h3 is, I don't know the purpose of tbh, the h2 pawn is defended anyway, im not sure what is a good move here but you can bring ur rook or knight to the center, Re1, Nc3. He can try to add more pressure by playing Ng4 but only then you play h3 and you are fine there is no sacrifices I think. 3:27 I don't like trading the bishop for the knight cause the opens the G file for his rook, so you either be quick with ur counter attack or you are busted 3:51 his king is in the center, not castled , ur rook looking at it, I guess thats the opportunity for counter attack even if you sacrifice a piece. Nxe5 and then play f4 and get ur piece back, you open up his king, and an extra pawn. notice that the stupid early moves Na4 comes in handy right now because it controls the checks on b6 and c5. okay, after that be2, the opponent has an amazing position, total control of the center by pawn and pieces an open file for his rook. 4:15 Qxc7 your queen was defended in the first place you didn't need to worry about the capture, now after trading u made him develop his rook with tempo on c2 and of course your knight now faces the consequences of bad placement from the early game. but once again I dont see good moves, You just have to give up your pawns in order not to lose your pieces. like Rb1 and let him take on c2 and a2 maybe idk.. my take on this game is wasted tempos, and unpunished opponents mistakes. You make unnecessary moves, you'll put your pieces in bad places so you need to waste more moves to correct them. You let your opponent go unpunished, his position gets better over time that's it.

    Tough battle. Don’t let the rating numbers get in your head. Your time will come when you are 1801 and hoping to win a game as an 1800. Just ignore the ratings and focus on the chess and learning :)
