Just microtonal music
Hearty vibe (21 TET Microtonal)
Hello there,
Here to drop the last tune of the year. I hope it's not too different from usual, I wanted to do something both danceable and ambient. At this time of year, it's harder to go out, we take refuge at home or with others, that's why I wanted something that sounded like "house" music. Maybe you will celebrate the New Year with this sound?
I can't wait for the days to get longer. I miss the sea, I can't see it as often anymore, and I don't feel comfortable filming the city. I did it from a distance, at night, I'm not super happy with the result, I wanted to catch these little lights which make live this time of year.
Using for a second time the 21 TET scale, really permissive, it sounds familiar with 12 TET, pretty solid one.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one, take care of you and see you next year!

A lot of people are talking about your music, and rightfully so, but I also must give you praise for the art used for all of your EPs! It is incredibly evocative and captivating, and really gives the music a plethora of dimensionality. Is there any place where you publish more of your visual art?

@beheldmicrotonal I tried stacking two 20edo fifths on a violin synth and it sounded imo more vibrant than the regular fifth stacking. There are some cool sounds you can get out of the edo!

This kinda reminds me of the slightly eeiry songs from 3-5th gen pokemon games. I could totally imagine this being used in sacred/haunted and ruined areas. Yeah it's mine! In Dizzy Vibes, i film the process of creating this artwork. I don't have so much time to create those usually, I only take time to draw, paint, etc... when I have to upload an EP
I've listened through the whole of your vibes playlist and I've adored every single song. Most of them have had this lovely lilting, tumbling feeling which coexists seamlessly with the alien sounds of microtonal music. I look forward to listening in each month ^^ (also, the way you use the bass is exactly what i look for in my playing. it's inspiring. and also just the sounds of it are intoxicating (in a very, very good way))

Really cool how the tension and resolution is totally different from 12-tone. Breaks my brain. I wonder what it would be like to grow up on 15-tone instead of 12-tone and what the inherent moods of chords are
When I was writing it, I was really hyped and I thought it sounded surprisingly beautiful. Looking back, I find it really disturbing at times, I guess that's part of its charm!

I noticed this song sounds a lot like Lofi hip-hop. And that might be because lofi has lots of detuned pianos, giving it a microtonal sound
Yeah I always use Vinyl plugin to bring some textures and to detune all the instruments. But I also use the Sforzando VST which support microtonal scales, so it's like a wacky detune microtonal lo-fi song!

i've always wondered, how do you guys get micortonal pianos digitally?
Actually, I don't have, I use basic software and write stuff on a normal piano roll, an get microtons with VST which support .scl format like Sforzando. So it's look pretty garbage and inintuitive af

i don't know, i'm unable to name those chords, I wrote them on the piano roll of FL Studio, which stay in a 12 TET language. To write the octave of a C5 in 31 TET for example, I have to write a G7, I don't now how to name microtonal intervals sorry

Hey man! love your stuff, I've always been interested in the out of tune but in tune microtonal stuff and you make it perfectly! Could you upload a video about your process of making a 19tet or 15tet or whatever tet song is? And also include what the difference in each tet is? Love your stuff.
