LJ Wrangler JEEP UPKEEP Transfer case leak
Hey dude a *much* simpler way to solve this problem (and do a more thorough job and don't need to cut up your drain hose) is to simply buy a 5 dollar car sunroof drain tool. This is a thin plastic flexible pipe that you push through the drain holes at the edges of the sunroof and hey presto! problem solved in less than a minute.
@bucklbr4 Hi there. That may be true and I should have tried that. But the rubber at both tips were seals together completely and needed to be cut off.
Howdy bud. What was the temperature fix, i have the same issue with my jeep. Thanks
@Dark_Knight_Cowboy the thermo fan clutch is what fixed it finally. I could have just replaced that. It's been under 200 deg since. If the fan isn't annoyingly loud when you rev, I think it would be slipping. You just don't notice it quieting down over time.
@@Waveshank thanks. I’ll try that.
Ty! We are going to try this. Yours looks great!
Does it pull to the left ?
@@Gunmetalbluejeeptjs very very slightly
Thank you bro!
How the fuck (with all respect) that screw is so easy to take out? Did you lose it up before the video? My is fucking hard solid on it
@diegoarnaud5403 I may have sprayed oil and let it sit. I don't remember. Otherwise, there is not much corrosion on this Jeep. Maybe some more leverage? Thanks for watching
@Waveshank you welcome and I really appreciate the video, help me a lot
I also puahed the drain port up into the metal frame.how did you get it back down? Struggling at rhe moment to pull rub drain back through the hole
@@derekcarter2526 I did the same thing. Needle nose clips and a coathanger. And patience. Hope you got it.
$50 one works exactly the same. Paying extra to put stickers on your window to say look at me I like to waste money
It's people like you who help convert the world to LUXE Bidet!
Did that small bottle of rust restore cover the whole roof?
@@1sevillana I think it did.
Thank you for the reply. I went ahead and used two of them. It came out great. We’ll see how long it last.🙏
@1sevillana that was a good item to use two. Glad to help and thanks for watching.
Thanks for this! Worked out great!
Dude them are some badass rims. -Militant- where did you get them and how much??? Please let me know thanks
Black Rhino Armory Wheels. I don't remember how much. Depends on size.
Just bought everything. I’ll report back on results.
Finished. Worked perfectly. Used vertical bandsaw.
Termite buffet! 😂
Yes it was. I had to remove the panels. Not the best idea. Still looks good though even without the siding. Thanks for watching.
Genius. Thanks for making this
Where does the fucking hose go when you’re reinstalling a new one. I’m about to smash the fucking windshield I can’t fucking find the end of it
Hi. I never replaced the hoses. I just cleared them out and cut the nozzles off that get gummy and clogged. Sorry.
I feel ya on that!😂
can anyone do this for me in statesville NC for a 10k sft building
thanks mate this vid worked for me took me 5 minutes and i did not take that plastic off i only lifted and rubbed that hose till clean with a stick cheers and thanks
How much did the materials end up costing?
How did you get the nipple back out from the opening? Mine went thru like you said.
I think I used a wire and needle nose pliers
@@Waveshankhow much you charge with the wire and needle nose you have. 😂 I’m struggling. 😂
Good job!
Great Job best video I have seen on alternator belt tension and idler pulley. I too keep old parts incase of an emergency. I found no other video for the tension pulley
Thank you for watching. Glad to be able to help others.
I WANA DO THIS TO THE SHED !! I love this!!ive never done this before to a shed I have no idea what I’m doing ! Can I Killz it with a brush ?
I’m trying to do something with my brothers old shed but I can’t get anyone to help me and they say 4get about it so now I’m determined to figure out how to make it look better
Could this cause a whistle sound during a cold start?
I doubt it. Listen with the hood open.
Say it with respirator
Is it still holding up?
Sure is. Good as renewed.
Just did this, works great!!! thanks so much!
You're welcome. Glad it helped!
How is the stabilizer holding up now?
Still good as new
THAT FKING MUSIC IS TERRIBLE .WHY!! WHY PLAY THIS WHEN JUST SHOWING HOW TO FIX THE FKING SHED. ANNOYING
Really great video! Thank you so much for taking the time to post it.
Thank you for your appreciation and watching
I purchased this stabilizer for my 2002 TJ Sport, but my drag link is threaded and won’t allow the pin to drop all the way through to the taper? Maybe I have a different drag link?
Oh that's odd. Mine is a 2006 LJ. It was a tight fit actually. Looks like it's that same part for all TJs. Maybe contact Fox.
@@Waveshank it was very odd but kept messing around with it and found that there was an aluminum threaded insert, probably from the first lift kit I had installed. Took the time to drill it out a bit and now it fits like a champ.
Omg! Thank you so much for this video! I have been searching for a video on this repair. My seats will roll back and forth but they won’t rock forward. Can you let me know what those bushing and washer sizes were?
At the 10:56 minute mark, you can see all the bags required for this fix.
@@JeepWranglerFreak thanks!
What a stupid design
Did you prime right on top of the rust or sand it down first? Edit: I see you applied that rust reformer. Is that it? No sanding necessary?
I didn't have to sand because it was surface rust.
had the same problem on my 2010 tdi wagon
This seems fairly straightforward and easy - however before attempting to tackle this, I must wonder - what is the intended purpose of that rubber tip you cut at the end of the drain line? Surely it doesn’t exist only to cause problems - so what good *should* it be doing? And, what potential problems might cutting it create? Thanks so much for your video and your time!
its suppose to be a filter to let only water out and not let spiders and other bugs into the tube and cabin
Beautiful bro. Going to lowes tomorrow and fixing my seats !!!
Still working perfect. I only had to reglue one of the rings once. No big deal.
@@Waveshank bro seriously top notch improvised fix, not a band-aid a true fix. THANK YOU 04 TJ unlimited
Best video I saw on alternator replacement. The belt diagram was really helpful. Other videos I saw did not show an automatic belt tensioner which confused me alot .
Nice!
My shed has little rusty nubs all over it, I rent and don’t want to put too much money into it but is an eyesore in the back yard. Any ideas?? All positive comments welcome.
Sand or grind rust away, spray rust prevention primer and then spray or brush Rustoleum
I have a similar shed with rust on the walls. Do I proceed first with killz premium 3 or rust reformer like the roof?
If there is surface rust then I would use the rust reform.
@@Waveshank ok thank you, should I do some light sanding first? It's my first project ever 🤦🏽♀️
Why 12x
Somebody out there is getting paid a 6 figure salary to engineer that crap.
Man, you made have just saved me! Thank you!
Thank u
What brand of radiator do you have in this video? Looks after market.
Mishimoto. Aluminum and lifetime warranty.
Another quick question… rather than enduring cold water while waiting for the warm water to fill the line, can you switch it to “nozzle clean” and get the warm water going before use?
I believe so, if you have the other valve on hot as you let it run. My sink is close so I can turn that on hot and let it run too.
Does it alter the pitch of the toilet seat, because it’s raised a bit in the back?
A little bit, but it's not really noticeable. It doesn't make you feel like you are sliding forward or anything like that.
@@Waveshank cool thanks. I ordered one and it was delivered today so installing tomorrow. Thanks for your video and response. 👍🏻👍🏻
One of the hot water O-rings is tricky. It took me couple of times. Don't over tighten or it will unseat and leak.
@@Waveshank yes, I took notice when you mentioned it in the vid. Thanks.
Sorry but you didn't show how you got the paint sprayer going or what the issues where. NO real tips here.
