Hidden Highland - Chill Cover/Remix (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2)
This track plays when you, your partner, and Grovyle are traversing Hidden Highland in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. Something you might not have noticed in the game is that this track also plays when Dusknoir explains how he deduced that you are the human from the future. A commenter on the official OST stated that they view this as "Dusknoir's true theme."
This track felt pretty empty, so I added parts of Hidden Land to this one. I added the voice to this as well, but I was not a big fan of it at first. However, that ended up growing on me. Now, I think it adds a lot. The cello was difficult to work with because the low notes stay in the same spot for a long time, so I made the cello quieter.

I wish the dungeon was as relaxing as this music.
I agree, though Grovyle carries the team unless Houndoom is there.
@therominempire in my playthroughs, Grovyle has been bloody useless there. Being in third position only protects the rear unless you spend at least 2 turns swapping positions or are in a room and letting him catch up. Thankfully my duo was water and fire types last time.
By far my least favorite dungeon in this entire series for some pretty stupid reasons. But I will admit, as someone who has listened to this theme for approximately 2hrs straight for said stupid reasons, this is an improvement over the original and sounds absolutely wonderful. Happy holidays!
I believe this is the longest dungeon up to this point in the game, so maybe that's why. I always accidentally end up getting Pikachu as my starter, so I never really had a hard time unless I got careless. Thanks for listening, and happy holidays to you too!

Man, this is nice. This track's a hidden gem not many people end up finding, even among those who played the game. That game really knew how to make music that strikes hard when it truly matters.

Funny story: TODAY I watched a pokemon music quizz video in the 8bitdrummer channel, and when this music started I was "damn, that bass intro". I then went to look for bass covers. I believe you're the only one who got it correctly (although one octave higher, because you cant fully go one down in that bass, I think), considering that toxiceternity did that part in the guitar. tl;dr: congratz man, great stuff
8bitdrummer rocks. Cool to hear that TH-cam recommended this after that video! I am surprised to hear that people do not get the starting bass line correctly... It is isolated and everything. Usually, I go for one octave higher or lower depending on how the range of my instruments. It does not take away anything from the music for me. Before I started this project, I listened to ToxicEternity's cover of this and thought I could take a different enough approach. I am not as good at the guitar as him, though. Thanks for your story and feedback!
