RCA is an output? So I should feed the speakers directly from the interface and then feed the subwoofer through the RCA? Or?

Yes, they would be great for that as they are full-range monitors with a flattened frequency response - each of your 88 keys would be represented equally. :)

Yes! The power supply has a voltage setting. Just set it to 220 and use the correct power cable. :)

Isn’t class D amps better than class A-B?
Good question! We wanted to be as period-correct as possible when designing the internal amps for the CLA-10s; most if not all of the amps used to power the original speakers were classically-designed Class AB amps. We decided the best way to replicate that vintage setup was with a classically designed AB amp. In the case of the CLA-10As, this A/B amp is housed in the speaker enclosure rather than a separate power amplifier. Sticking with Class AB allowed us to deliver a more period-accurate electronic design with a contemporary form factor.

I have a subwoofer, i can attach them in the setup and cut the low end on these from the back right?
Yes, you can cut the low end by 2 dB via the room control on the back. Alternatively, you could also use the built-in crossover included on many subwoofers.

Okay, so i just ordered a pair, getting it delivered right to my home by tomorrow, I’m excited to listen to them. Do i need to break them by playing music on it at medium level for 10 hours? Or is it good to go right out of the box?
Hey thanks for choosing us! Over time the highs will smooth out a bit and the low end will deepen... but overall we feel that the Gauss 7s do not require a break-in period. Use them straight out of the box and enjoy them from Day 1.

Why don't you make them vertical? It's much better for the phase alignment between woofer and tweeter - and less midrange dip (when moving listening postion from side to side) than when they're horizontal. And how many people have an analog mixing desk these days? It makes MUCH more sense to make speakers that take up less desk real-estate.
We hear you! We get that the CLA-10As might not be for everybody... that's why we've got some other monitor options as well. I use them vertical and don't give a s*it about the looks. They sound much better vertical

so just listening through this, it sounds like there is more lively character in the original...but the BLA is very smoothed out, transients, S's, its a much more linear sound volume and frequency wise. both serve their purposes but for rock vocals and such i think the original would be better where any other source the BLA would probably win out in a shoot out
Do you track with your high pass filter on ?
I can't help but feel these speakers are a little underrated! Bought them without hearing them to replace my old active Tannoy Reveals, so took quite a risk... but I am very - very pleased with the sound! They aren't fatiguing at all, sound very spacious and warm - I use mainly analogue equipment so that definitely contributes to the warmth ;) The price is so good! Highly recommended, thanks Avantone!

If the point of these monitors is their midrange, why did you pick that song ? The active has a control for filtering the tweeter, curious why you didn’t demo that? FF eq may show same line, but I thought cla sounded more raucous in high end , so there were differences in the sound quality. But, you understand why cigarette papers were draped over the tweeters!:) thx.
