Forgotten Trail in Mark Twain National Forest
มุมมอง 1.7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This trail in Mark Twain National Forest had little to no traffic due to some trees blocking the trail. My wife and I went in my 2013 Forester XT with @nissanneil8551 in his 1st gen Desert Runner Frontier to take care of them and see what was at the end of this 2.5 mile trail. What we found at the end was so rewarding! It felt cool to be the first visitors out there in many years. We were out t...

      If you think this scene is messed up now, you should check out the uncut version of Dan's death scene if you haven't already. To my knowledge, it was only ever made available on the UK and Australian VHS releases. The death of the character of Greta in this film was also edited, prior to the release back in 1989. According to the TV Tropes website, the uncut version of her death, as well as the uncut version of Dan's death have not been re-released on other home media versions due to issues with the original film print. Were I to hazard a guess, most likely degradation over time.

    the instructions on the carb cleaner can say ... start the vehicle ... let it warm up a bit ... remove the intake tube and spray cleaner directly in to the carb ... while applying a little throttle ... all the gunk and clogged material goes out as black smoke our of the exhaust ... i have tried it with many old cars it worked well ... why wouldnt it work here ???

    • @treezy8769

    Whilst fuel/air help idle - I found the best fix for idle and reduction/removal of cold start back firing was the replacement of the factory ignition coil packs. I used some direct coil over plug units from a later bike and wired them directly to the factory coil wiring. The result was a lot more smoother and faster throttle response. All for ~$40

  • @dumbcat
    @dumbcat 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a big fan of the large, stock pipes (but not their sound). I think they are a huge part of the V-Max's iconic look. Drilling them out is a perfect compromise. But by far the most significant feature of the V-Max's iconic look are the scoops. I have no idea why Yamaha chose to black out 50% of the scoops on later models of the Gen 1. Wrong direction. Should have chromed them instead! The scoops are bold, which was the whole idea. Muting them was a violation of the V-Max's honor.
