Carlos zoleta yes I agree. Most Chinoys can speak little to very fluent Hokkien (since most are from Fujian or descendants of Fujianese immigrants). Some can speak Cantonese (descendants of immigrants from Guangdong). My dad is from Fujian, my mom is descended from Cantonese people, but I speak/understand only passable Hokkien and Cantonese :)
I'm Chinese and all I can say is that Filipino - Chinese (Tsinoy) singer Kim Chiu can sing it very well. She can correctly pronounce the Chinese words. I hope she will sing more Chinese songs! (she also can sing peng you) She's not only a great singer but an awesome actress too! I love her movies and Tv dramas!!!
