Thanks for your review. Avianca's 'business class' an the A320 is (at best) a premuim economy offering. Before COVID, I enjoyed their service, catering, and recliner seats, but since their bankruptcy, are another ultra low-cost carrier without the low-cost flights.

Always great to see your videos. I recently got upgraded to first twice on one round trip with United (domestic US). It was okay, service felt kind of off-putting compared to premium economy/exit row. Also people were more rude to the stewardesses in first compared to economy imo. Still, the seat was big and I appreciated the big arm rest. I can see why people enjoy it.

Don't you check what aircraft you are flying before departure? its on your booking that you will be flying a 777 and not an A380 , so how can you be disappointed when you arrive at the plane is beyond me

im colombian and this is shameful. avianca went during covid from being the pride of the country to a national embarrassment in the swing of about two years. terrible what they've done to the airline, however great review!

Avianca is the worst. They dont have business class just premium seats with Low Cost carrier service

Thank you for the honesty and consistency of your flight reviews. It is amazing how many long haul aircraft do not have individually controllable air vents, and how many of them are uncomfortably warm. The plane, the product, and the service were not up to what most would expect of Qatar Airways.

Flew on business with them and they even charges me 60 bucks to check in my luggage so never again I only fly LATAM within Colombia

Was the omelette freshly cooked like in CX first class? There's a skillet inside that first class galley, CX provide freshly made eggs for breakfast.

Busing passengers out to planes on a regular basis is proof enough that Doha is not the best airport in the world. Any survey results that say that should be taken with a grain of salt

Until May 2022 Avianca business class was good. However, I believed that by summer of that year they removed business class from USA to Central America 😟 Thanks for your review.

Interesting film as usual. I recently flew Brisbane/HKG with Cathay in Business. Sadly not the Cathay Pacific I remember from 10 years ago. Old plane, dated interior and poor food. Flight attendant service was chaotic to say the least. Flew Emirates and Qantas on the same trip. The latter was a surprise and very good. Emirates as usual couldn’t be faulted. Happy travels!

One should always be won over by champagne and chocolate!! Seriously though, do you think their service and product have caught up to their price point? I've felt that there was too large of a gap between the two recently.

Lovely trip report. This plane is one of the modern A330s out there. Love the cabin. They have a good business class product. Headphones could be better though

Flew Syd lax F class 777-300. Got the Qantas first class lounge which had far better food then I had inflight which felt more like business than first.

Wonderful review. I’ve flown Flagship on the 777-300ER LAX-MIA about half a dozen times over the last few years, unfortunately the Flagship Dining has always been closed. Still I’ve found the MIA Flagship Lounge and its buffet to be quieter than, and of at least a comparable quality to, the MIA Centurion Lounge, which I’ve also experienced a few times. Both lounges partially make amends for the MIA experience itself, which is not particularly enjoyable for me- too much walking required, and many MIA fellow travelers in the terminal seem to lack for courtesy and respect.

They had a guy cooking cacio e pepe scallops in the flagship lounge in Dallas last week.

I haven't flown aviance but I haven't heard good reviews. Seems like your flight was good

Avianca the worst airline, I've ever flew . I flew from YYZ to LIM via BOG you don't even get a glass of water with then. FA are only around to sell food and drinks . Safety issue on board. I'm still traumatized by this flight. Do you really want to try their long haul flight? Don't waste your money and time. AVIANCA is pure GARBAGE

As someone doing one to three short domestic trips a month, I find that there have definitely been a lot of delays/cancelations during the past 24 months. I dread ever having to hop on a flight with a connection, because it just increases the chances that the second flight will have issues etc. Anyways, I always make sure to bring a full setup whenever I travel (keyboard, mouse, mousepad, headphones, laptop, etc) to make sure that in the worst case scenario I can at least kill some time more easily than just sitting on my phone. Obviously it's a little more heavy but man does it make three or four hour delays more tolerable.
