Please, don’t be a stranger… 📲CALL or TEXT: 636-362-6364 📨EMAIL: Hey@LivingInStLouis.com Top PROS AND CONS of Living in St. Louis Missouri. I absolutely LOVE living in St. Louis Missouri...but it's not for everyone. This is my honest review of St Louis Missouri after spending 30 years here and raising my family here...
A devil lives there. Professor Bae at WashU in St. Louis sexually assaulted a woman in the children's space while they were sleeping. She couldn't even resist him because she was afraid that the children would wake up and see him. She is still suffering from the trauma of the moment's fear and helplessness, and is falling ill and dying. Let her regain her health and happiness in her family. Professor Bae is living a normal life boasting of his achievements. No matter how much he denies by lying, let the truth be revealed and unmask him. Let him be punished by law.
This is a very honest and realistic view of St Louis (as someone who has lived in the area most of my life).
Live on the Illinois side if you work in St Louis, smaller urban feel, cheaper taxes, and usually only 20 minutes to travel in to the city to work.
St Louis, the CITY is a terrible choice. I’d recommend our SAFEST city, Ballwin. I don’t personally live there, but I shop there, etc. it is such a friendly community, with a ton of police officers around TIP: DONT speed. Police are everywhere!
Biggest issue is the city can’t control crime and has terrible schools.
Is Saint Louis university safe? As I've heard this city is the most dangerous city in the usa 😨
I’ve lived in St Louis many years. The summer weather is horrible- very hot. The restaurants and many cultural amenities- such as the symphony, museums and sports are excellent. Traffic problems are very few. I always hear about crime but have NEVER had a problem myself.
As an STL native you're very honest for a realtor. I live in the Bay Area CA now and I enjoy going back once or twice a year. Such an underrated food scene compared to other cities like Chicago and Nashville. Subscribed and liked.
Very much appreciated! Thanks for the support! -Jeff
I have lived in St. Louis city for 8 years and love my historic neighborhood. My neighbors here have been more friendly, supportive, and helpful than anywhere I have lived in country areas, suburban areas, or other cities before. Don't be afraid, it is really great.
Very informative! Thanks for sharing!
Glad it was helpful! -Jeff
Benny on TH-cam was talking about how bad this place was. Is it still the worst or has something changed. Also you all voted out the terrorist loving lady who was willing to spend all your money.
St. Louis is one of the most inexpensive places to live in the United States. If you’re born here, it’s a sentence that you stay here because of the cost of living.
It's a wasteland of crime. I live in west county now...I lived in Dallas for 10 years and it was like going to the moon economically.
Just recently escaped st louis. Don't even think about moving there unless you can afford a tall fence a moat and a security team.
There is also Lindenwood University in St.Charles
Born and raised. Lived all over the area and we're currently planning our escape, lol. We'd of moved in 2020 but we all know that story.
All of the growth is on the east side now.
And St Louis has peanut cake. No one in the east knows what this is and dont know how to make it.
Part of the problem is the city is a one party town. Democrats hav run St. Louis for almost 70 years. Please understand, I am NIT saying Republicans have the answer, however without the political give and take, you just keep doing the same things over and over and hope for different outcomes.
The blacks have destroyed St Louis ... Don't move here
Kansas City here, St Louis is the worst city in the USA. Give us good people of Missouri a bad name. Wish Illinois would just annex them on over.
Maybe you feel like you have a good reason to move to st louis... you do not. Trust me when I tell you , do everything you can to not move there
One of the worst mistakes of my life. I didn’t know such sub-humanity could become a point of pride for a human being, but there are a whole lot of people who are just indifferent, utterly so, to the good.
I'd say the biggest thing you have to get over is the city-county thing. Some of the things he talks about apply to the city some to the county. There are probably books written on this but in short the city and county broke into two over 100 years ago. Initially it was because the city didn't want to pay for things in the county which was a lot of farmland. Flash forward, the county is expanding and the city is contracting. However the county is divided into over 50 different municipalities while the city is just one. Needless to say it can be confusing for people if they work in one and live in the other because there are different things between each municipality. Also getting license plates is confusing because of this. When you try to get your car licensed each municipality has a different tax rate. Some newcomers consider it a nightmare and are totally confused. These can all be overcome as Missourians have been putting up with it for years. Oh, and the high school thing really happens. If you're in St Louis and they ask you where you went to school they mean high school not college. By that one question they can tell your wealth, social status, and athleticism.
I grew up in St. Louis and no one every asked me which high school I went to. You can get license plates at any license office in the state, they figure out the rates so I'm not sure what this guy is talking about.
Delmar is not segregationalist...its 60 percent white and simply doesnt want the crime that other areas have.

St Louis is very nice to visit. Living there is not really the best idea. Look into Kansas City if you want to move to this area of the country but dont want most of the negatives of St Louis. The people of Kansas City are just so so much nicer to each other and outsiders. Most people you will meet in Missouri would agree. St Louis still has tons of cool attractions to visit and see, like the City Museum if you travel with young ones. If you are considering moving to Missouri I advise you to visit KC and check it out before settling on STL
This applies to any STATE..
I appreciate this incredibly succinct and straightforward presentation! Not a second wasted. I made notes as I’m looking to move to a new city within the US. Thanks so much!
Thank you! I very much appreciate you taking the time to watch! -Jeff
Come here for the ravioli stay cause ya got murdered
Any resident from any city in the US would say that their city sucks. I have lived in Miami for 20 years and this shit is so expensive, if you don't make 6 figures you will live paycheck to paycheck if you are single. I am moving to MO cuz rent in that state is like $800 for a studio in a luxury building. Here in Miami the same studio costs $2000
St. Louis City is a great place to live and hang out. You just have to know what areas to avoid. St. Louisians might not seem friendly to outsiders because we're skeptical of people until we get to know them. I happen to live in part of the city that attracts a lot of out-of-town visitors so I try to be helpful and cordial. But you will find that a lot of us travel in packs with friends and family and tend to ignore people outside of our circle. It's a little different here in the CWE. We strike uo conversations with anyone over here.
The only unfriendly people I have seen in St. Louis are people who moved there from other states, obviously were not brought up with the same lessons on manners and polite friendliness as midwesterners and are not considerate law abiding drivers 😏. Sadly, these outsiders are influencing our younger generations here in the midwest cities.
Also forgot to mention. Corrupt police officers baited me and my car for 9 years. I was once pulled over for like doing 3 miles over the limit lolol 😂. Even the cop seemed embarrassed. Think the amount tickets I received was enough to build them another station lol
Idk how I came across this video lol. Anyways Avoid stl at all costs. Lived there for 9 years for school. Seasonal depression, allergies, high crime in certain areas. Extreme Racism, boring, long winters and summers, non progressive, low wages, minimal diversity, to name a few. Unless for family, school or work I absolutely do not see a reason to move to stl.
Saint Louis is not for those who hate high humidity. It's as wet and sticky in June, July, August, and September as a tropical jungle in Central America.
St Louis is quite difficult for those with pollen allergies. It is one of the most pollen intense areas in the entire U S
The county should not merge with the city think about Belleville Illinois and st clair county Illinois does not work
Population loss lies with the voters you vote for bad leadership you get population decline
Do not drop your homeless in St Clair county Illinois we are strapped and have to take care of our own
They do not like people from st clair county Illinois i mean Belleville O Fallon Fairview heights Illinois signal hill and yet how many of them live over here
A Sunday in St. Louis is a depressing experience
I live in the city and it is great. Dont let the statistics scare you, they can be very misleading. I wouldn't say it is declining any more than a number of former manufaturing old cities, but that is why you can great bargain on a house and be part of the renewal.
This is the worst area to live roads are horrible crime rate is high. Most people's attitudes were rude. Never even want to visit there again
I would recommend anyone who wants to move to Saint Louis to actually move to any of the suburbs west of the city limits. Definitely not any part of Metro East.
We have a racist Govenor Parsons, still wont approve medicaid expansion, for below poverty level folks, approved 2021 by the voters of Mo. Get rid of this racist!!!!!
Thinkin bout it. I dont see any negatives here except the racism stuff.
Are you aware that more move out of here and NO one is owning they are all moving to renting however it’s BECAUSE no one wants to live in a CLICK community your marketing it and friends are IMPOSSIBLE especially when you move into higher wealth and more REAL business not just sales however this market is the WORST in history and we are about to see a Kirkwood priced similar to Saint Charles it’s how horrible the builders are however do you study the demographics or just YA NO HOMELESS your making shit up however he just listens to the news and HELL ya we are all walkable however charokee area has a lot of issue however it’s because we have no safety anywhere and kids have no opportunities for good first Tim jobs because owners don’t work inside and the minimum wage is a major issue we want Mexicans as many as the boarders allow so know cyber security he’s marketing he know nothing he regurgitates the news however it the architect it’s BELOW crime poverty we will be taking apart the glass one however trump you might see good luck helping out nothing else he’s worse then Saint Louis BYE
I'm thinking of moving back to St.Louis after leaving in 1974 for Oakland,Ca where I still reside. I'm retired now and most of my family lives in St.Louis which is the main reason I want to move back. I own a home in Oakland but want a nice, comfortable townhome with 3 bedrooms and at least 2 bathrooms as I'll be living with my identical twin sister who is also retired,my 84 year old mother and my 8 year old cocker spaniel. I don't care about crime or racism as I was the victim of a violent crime here in Oakland which left me permanently disabled and the subtle racism in California is worst imo than covert racism. A lot of California is racist and segregated and this is achieved by pricing properties sky high knowing that the average minority can't afford such high prices. I know when I lived in St.louis from 1964-1974 we lived in nice, new modern homes in Berkeley,U City, Hathaway Manor and off of Kingshighway. Not so in Calif where all I could afford here are old, outdated, small homes. St.Louis also has better healthcare for seniors and better medical facilities as well.

@yansatoussaint2266 I love st Louis it's a comfortable place for me and my daughter... you look familiar are you from Virginia ?
@@Justinbarnes_Thanks for checking out the channel! Are you asking if I used to live in Virginia? If so, yes, I was born in St. Louis but I lived in Northern Virginia for about 10 years as a kid before moving back to STL.
@@Justinbarnes_ I'm originally from St.Louis but have been living in Oakland,Ca for fifty years.
@@yansatoussaint2266 same here but I have only 🐝 out of st Louis just once...you look beautiful are you married with kids ?
I'm a transp!ant and have't experienced the clannishment others here are complaining about. Violent crime is an issue of course which has caused st louis to rapidly shed residents since the 50s. At some point, St Louis will have no one left but the criminals.
As an outdoorsman, I appreciate that I can get out in nature quickly. The Missouri department of conservation and state park system is amazing and accessible. St. Louis is also a gateway to the Ozarks with a lot of outdoor opportunities.
It looks like the Louis and Clark trail gets really crowded in summer.
I grew up in South St. Louis County. It's a good place to live. I moved away in 2013.
it got a lot worse past 10y
