    Many thanks Sir, I like your summary of body as a collection of parts among which energy flows. Isn´t it related to fascial operation of the body whicand getting the rinternal fluid the resin to flow. I do remamber thet thre first signs of getting cold was the pains in that are, along the so called bikiny line. Good health, Paul,68.

    After many years of training in different martial arts and learning various philosophies, within this short time I have been made aware of something that I've been seeking. Up until recently, I actually did not know that there was a form of qi gong called Kong ling, Empty force. For, unlike the fine master that saw it in movies as a child, it manifested itself in various ways, sometimes destructive and sometimes lifesaving. It has stopped cars dead in their tracks, healed the infirm and even given a child the ability to hear. Many, may choose the path... But for some, the path chooses you. Now that I have found this, I shall master this. Thank you for your small piece of the puzzle, it has helped greatly. Peace my friend.

  • @chessshyrecat

    Your body is leaning to your left side all the time. Your right shoulder and the right side of your hip is high, while the left side is drooping down. Shouldn't it be parallel so the gravity is distributed equally and central?

    • @danceofthedragonbydavidlee
      @danceofthedragonbydavidlee ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. I have severe scoliosis that I talk about in other videos. It used to be much worse and has relaxed quite a bit since I made this video.

    • @chessshyrecat
      @chessshyrecat ปีที่แล้ว

      That is good to hear! Whish you the best of relaxing it even more now. I don't know if this is helpful for you, but I recently learned that jaw/teeth allignment can effect the spine. Misallignment of the jaw can promote scoliosis because it seems to be part of how the body checks if it is balanced correctly or not. So maybe something to check. If there is something to be corrected then that could help improve it even further. @@danceofthedragonbydavidlee

    • @danceofthedragonbydavidlee
      @danceofthedragonbydavidlee ปีที่แล้ว

      The scoliosis has left me with a few fused vertebrae. For me the journey is to get as much movement as possible in what I have to work with. I understand that the relaxation of the moth and face effects the hips and I work with that. My master has been teaching that for a long time. Probably if I had been comfortable in my body I wouldn’t have practiced as long and hard as I’ve been practicing. I appreciate your insight.

    But what does it mean to soften? Is it the same as relax? Someone says to you: relax your shoulders and you do and you realize you were holding your shoulders up. That's one thing. But to soften your shoulders? Same thing? Or is soften more of an imaginary action that manifests physically?

    • @danceofthedragonbydavidlee
      @danceofthedragonbydavidlee ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, to soften your body demands a quality of attention. Yes it means relax. Sometimes I say “gently relax…” but we don’t want to just go through the motions. If you bother to ask “what does it it mean to soften my shoulders?” and you have to look deeply inside to figure out if your shoulders are softer.

    Great practice, perfect for me today! I really felt a lot of heat and energy with this one. I also made an interesting discovery. I often get lower back pain practicing and realized that I am in the habit from yoga of contracting my abdominals when I drop my tailbone. As soon as I released them the tension and pain reduced. Should the abs be relaxed? You are a wonderful teacher and I really appreciate your efforts! 🙏🏻💖

    • @danceofthedragonbydavidlee
      @danceofthedragonbydavidlee ปีที่แล้ว

      This is an interesting question because I think there is more going on than tightening your abdominal muscles here. For now just use natural breathing when you practice qigong, or yoga for that matter. Iyengar yoga for instance only uses natural breathing. It seems that you have a habit of trying to use your abdominal muscles in a way that adversely effects your back. I’d have to see what you do. When doing qigong with natural or reverse breathing (gently engaging your core and lifting your perineum), always breathe into your kidneys and feel your low back stretch as you inhale. Don’t focus on your tailbone. Feel the expansion in your kidney area three dimensionally. If you lay on the floor and do this, you will feel your pelvis rocking. When this is comfortable, bring your attention to your perineum and gently lift it. Keep everything soft and gentle. Thanks.

      @@danceofthedragonbydavidlee Thanks for taking the time with such a detailed answer. I’ll give it a try! And I will definitely go easy. No yoga these days, focusing on qigong which seems easier on my body now that I have some health issues. Thanks again!
