Very nice and excellent
you really like this commie stuff 😃
since recent russo -ukraine war 2022 there was a law passed in Estonia to remove all of the soviet era symbols and monuments without any historical significance. this is in reference to some missing soviet insignias you have mentioned
How did you buy your Russian plane tickets without visa Mastercard ? I’m trying to book tickets but they don’t accept visa Mastercard
@@Jack-qr2iy I didn’t buy any Russian plane tickets. I stayed in Kaliningrad for the week. I flew from Belfast to Gdańsk, Poland and then took the bus across the border into Kaliningrad, Russia.
@@borschbanditthanks for the reply 👍
Headed there next Saturday, Gdansk to kaliningrad, then Kaliningrad to Saint Petersburg, thanks for making this .
Have fun! You will have a great time. If you enjoy beer, look for the several 'пивнушка's around. I was enjoying great local beer for less than £0.60 a litre, great way to meet people if you speak a bit of Russian as well.
hey, i was born there
Nice videos but you excluded visa costs.
Thank you. My visa cost roughly £40 as my passport (Ireland) is one of 55 countries that qualify for the e-visa scheme.
@@borschbandit Do you know how much it costs for the UK? I plan to visit next spring but for 3-4 weeks. We're not on the e-visa scheme, sadly.
@@Keylan00-x9n I don't off chance unfortunately, but I think there are Russian visa centres in Manchester and London that I would contact. It is a bit more expensive, i think £155 or so but I am not 100% sure.
You don’t sound Irish are you from America?
Grew up in the USA, I have lived in Ireland for 7 years.
Your video about formerly Königsberg, now Kaliningrad is awesome. Thank you for that. It shows things we haven't seen with other content creators. Deep down inside there is still the German heart seen in this city, the Prussian heart. But it's entirely Russia now and this combination makes for a very interesting city to walk through. :) I hope Russia and Ukraine can achieve peace rather sooner than later. We should all be friends instead of battling each other in brutal wars. Peace from Germany! 🤍💙❤ & 💙💛 & 🖤❤💛

Did the hotel provide an invitation? Are you sure you weren't interviewed at the border?
@@besovereign2032 If you are an EU citizen (I’m an Irish citizen), you qualify to apply for a 16 day E-visa. That means you don’t require an invitation letter. No I was not interviewed at the border. On this trip, they asked me a couple of basic standard questions, that’s it. Very easy!
@@borschbandit ok Ireland is still ok - the regime across the Irish Sea arouse more suspicion and rightly so

Strange places to visit, not much to see in those settlements. Both of them used to be industrial towns with not much to do there if you don't work there.
That's what I thought. 😅
To be honest, the streets look much better in summer.
You did really good. I live in Eastern Estonia and thank for visiting us!
Probably could get it redone. Looks like Neal McDonough.
The guy was lost during the evacuation, and a Soviet newspaper published an article about his heroic death. After the article was published, he appeared to be alive and kicking, but the story was never changed. He even visited "his" monument in 1980.
Great video I just watched it, want wait for the next one 🎉
Russia is one of my favourite countries in the world. Hopefully I will get the chance to go visit some time. Love from Estonia🇪🇪🇷🇺
i wish i could go to russia for less than 200 pounds...... my flights alone are $2000.
Amazing trip ❤😊
i bet they will tear it down that statue because they yes.
They moved it to the Soviet Statue Graveyard, its not in its original location.

Looks similar to romanian mcdonalds . I would eat at russian mcdonalds 10/10
Let me know what you think, what would you order?
Love this

nice video! is the length of the russian lessons you booked an academic hour (45 mins) or a standard 60 minutes ? what level of Russia are you B1 ?
1 hour each, I haven't taken a Russian test yet. You can buy as many lessons as you like and they will put together a schedule for you.
Awesome video Thanks for allowing us to see a little bit of Pridnestrovie

You didn't need to save money to go to a restaurant. Only mafia criminals, communist party members and Intourists could go to a restaurant in the Soviet Union. Reservations were not possible to get for common people, maybe in serious downtime like in deep winter one could get a reservation.
that made me wanna migrate to moscow
Yes and then they wait 20-30 mins for others to get seated😂😂😂
Очень классно видно мой друг! I travelled from Britain to Tallinn then Narva back in January , but didn’t have a visa to cross the bridge unfortunately 😢 glad to have found your channel and look forward to seeing more of your adventures 👍🇷🇺
As you already said, it is "priority boarding". The priority is for boarding, not for waiting. When the doors open, they are the first ones to board...
Very exciting!
Great videos, been to narva twice have a british passport, is it possible for me to get a Visa, all the best joe,
Thank you!! It is possible to get a visa, but you will need to apply through the Russian embassy with a British passport. I would definitely recommend visiting if you can!
More friendship in this world for sure)) And that’s why I am here) Great channel
3:43 sorry, can’t you visit the Ivangorod Castle? BTW: are you from Northern Ireland? I heard you mentioning Translink on another video…
I live in Belfast! You can visit Ivangorod as a tourist if you contact the appropriate authorities who will offer you the permit for it in Saint Petersburg, but it takes some weeks to process. I believe most tourists to Ivangorod, who go to the castle etc., are domestic Russian tourists from elsewhere in the oblast. I think you may be allowed to visit the castle as well when you are passing through, but I can't confirm. There are some historical plaques around the town that I noticed talking about the towns history, so there is a tourist element there if you have proper authorisation.
In the beginning, I didn’t understand if you wanted to go to Jõhvi or to Jõgeva….
I think that we all were wondering about that - including the clerk.
You called a communist terrorist a martyr. 😑Do you have a "Z" tattooed in your forehead too?
Very cool thank you for sharing
Светлая память нашим героям ❤
It's a very "dead" city. Schools have been closed, families prefer to move somewhere else. Many pensioners live here. It's unfortunate, considering what it was like
Down rate this propaganda shit
Thank you for sharing this experience with people ❤😊
The ignorant nonsense you can spew when your borders have made you entitled 🤣
"Normal people are all the same" - over 2 years of the war showed how wrong this can be. There are normal people in normal countries who want to live peacefully. Then there are zombies in terrorist states who want to take neighbouring countries and pretend they are the greatest nation on the earth while half of the country doesn't have working toilets. So no, normal people are not the same, the people of ruzzia made it all themselves. And do not compare us with them. They were murdering us for centuries and they would gladly do it again.
