00:12 Intro With Russian Cat
00:30 Reflecting at the Memorial
02:00 Exploring Fort XI Dönhoff
11:48 French 2/30 Normandie-Niemen Memorial
13:08 Otto Lasch Command Bunker
Join us in exploring the remnants of the Battle of Königsberg, a key conflict of World War II. In this video, we explore significant historical sites that provide a glimpse into the battle's profound impact on the city of Kaliningrad.
We visit various memorials dedicated to the brave Soviet soldiers who fought in the Battle of Königsberg. Each site offers a moving reminder of their sacrifice and the historical significance of the battle.
Next, we delve into the remains of Fort XI Dönhoff, a crucial defensive position during the conflict. Discover the fort's strategic importance and see how its remnants have stood the test of time.
We also visit the French Air Force 2/30 Normandie-Niemen Memorial, which honors the French pilots who fought valiantly alongside the Soviet Union on the Eastern Front of WW2.
Finally, we explore the Otto Lasch Command Bunker, the headquarters of the German forces during the battle. Gain insights into the strategic decisions made within these walls and see the bunker’s preserved state as it was when it was surrendered in 1945.
Experience the World War 2 history and enduring legacies of the Battle of Königsberg to learn how a former capital city of Germany, was lost to the victorious forces of the USSR, and is now an integral exclave of the Russian Federation.

Your video about formerly Königsberg, now Kaliningrad is awesome. Thank you for that. It shows things we haven't seen with other content creators. Deep down inside there is still the German heart seen in this city, the Prussian heart. But it's entirely Russia now and this combination makes for a very interesting city to walk through. :) I hope Russia and Ukraine can achieve peace rather sooner than later. We should all be friends instead of battling each other in brutal wars. Peace from Germany! 🤍💙❤ & 💙💛 & 🖤❤💛

You didn't need to save money to go to a restaurant. Only mafia criminals, communist party members and Intourists could go to a restaurant in the Soviet Union. Reservations were not possible to get for common people, maybe in serious downtime like in deep winter one could get a reservation.

I live in Belfast! You can visit Ivangorod as a tourist if you contact the appropriate authorities who will offer you the permit for it in Saint Petersburg, but it takes some weeks to process. I believe most tourists to Ivangorod, who go to the castle etc., are domestic Russian tourists from elsewhere in the oblast. I think you may be allowed to visit the castle as well when you are passing through, but I can't confirm. There are some historical plaques around the town that I noticed talking about the towns history, so there is a tourist element there if you have proper authorisation.

"Normal people are all the same" - over 2 years of the war showed how wrong this can be. There are normal people in normal countries who want to live peacefully. Then there are zombies in terrorist states who want to take neighbouring countries and pretend they are the greatest nation on the earth while half of the country doesn't have working toilets. So no, normal people are not the same, the people of ruzzia made it all themselves. And do not compare us with them. They were murdering us for centuries and they would gladly do it again.
