This video deserves much more attention. I made my own video on the 452 a while ago, never got much attention at all. It's a shame, because it's such a unique vehicle.
Thank you!! It was my first TH-cam Video. I’ll check out your video. When I found out about this vehicle I couldn’t believe it. It’s still my dream to own one myself, maybe modify it to use it as a camper to travel across Central Asia or something similar.
@@borschbandit Lol great minds think alike. It's one of my dream vehicles as well. Sure, a Volkswagen Type 2 might be a bit more comfortable, but here in Ireland, we got a lot of forests, large hills and even some mountains that the 452 would be right at home in. They're still being made as far as I'm aware, so maybe once things have settled in Eastern Europe, I could save a bit of money to go on a pilgrimage to purchase one.
One of the reasons that some of the videos about the UAZ buhanka four wheel drive van may not be getting a huge amount attention, is that these vehicles would be hard to import into a western country let alone register them to drive on the road .The current sanctions against Russia the country where these vehicles are manufactured are just part of the problem the thing is these vehicles are a design that is nearly sixty years old the last time they had a update was nearly forty years ago in 1985 so the Buhanka van would have a hard time passing safety and emissions laws in my country Australia they would not pass safety and emissions laws a person might be able to get one on the road as a special interest vehicle even then they probably be pushing it. The simple fact is they are out of date these vans I'm sure are good off road but to sell them outside Russia UAZ are going to need to design a whole new four wheel drive van for the 21st century this vehicle shows that the Russian Federation is stuck in the days of the mid to late 20th century and the former Soviet Union time that Russian's move on .
@christophera556 my friend, I'm in Ireland. If I were to want to get this van, I myself would need to go to Eastern Europe or Russia, drive it to France and ferry it back, all while jumping through every bureaucratic hoop in every book to somehow convinve the authorities to let me drive an old, unsafe and high emissions vehicle through their countries, and that's not even taking into consideration the cost of registration, insurance and modifications to make it road legal. The number of these things in Ireland and the UK combined is probably a single digit number.
thanks for the video. But the first „k“ in your Bukhanka is not correct, the cyrillic „x“ is not like English „k“, its softer, formed in your throat, its more like the „ch“ in the Scottish word for lake „Loch“ 😊
Great video! Thank you!
