Our American Family spends a 24 Hour Layover in Switzerland
On our way home from Ireland, we got a lucky day and half layover in Switzerland. All we wanted was to get to the top of the alps.

We watched a SHEEP GIVE BIRTH in Ireland | The last of the Ireland vlogs
มุมมอง 5512 ปีที่แล้ว
Ireland, the island of my dreams, and its enchanting updates have finally come to a close. In this video I summarize that last of the things we did, like take a tour of a sheep farm, go to the Dingle Aquarium, watch A LAMB BEING BORN, and dance in the pub. Favorite Part: Littlest one apologizing to the butterfly for almost stepping on it.
Day in My Life (+ nonsense facts about me that no one asked for)
มุมมอง 1872 ปีที่แล้ว
Follow a day in my life where I mostly sit in my car all day, but also talk about random nonsense factoids about me. Honestly, this video was so fun to film, but TH-cam in general has been tricky and daunting and scary and confusing for me. I wasn't even going to post this, but then I thought, "danggit mandi, live your best boring life and just post the stupid video". So here we are. I'm an ins...
I Make a Very Normal {sarcasm} Birthday Cake for My Daughter
มุมมอง 1412 ปีที่แล้ว
When my daughter asked me to make her a "stitch asleep in the ocean, being poked in the eye by baby yoda" cake for her 6th birthday..I thought, "wow. We can do that". And what better way than utilizing my latest art fixation: air dry clay. Why I would pick the heaviest art medium around to put on top of a delicate cake is beyond me, but stick around to see if it worked, or if they plummeted to ...

My American fam takes a wee walk around Irish countryside
มุมมอง 4.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
My little fam takes a walk around the wee village of Dunquin in Ireland. We say "hi" to some sheep, skip rocks in the ocean, jump around on squishy Irish earth, and overlook the famous Dunquin pier. Favorite part: trust fall onto the fluffy Irish ground.
DISNEYLAND!...but with too many feelings
มุมมอง 3762 ปีที่แล้ว
The fam went to Disneyland with their choir. It was a beautiful and tumultuous ride. Favorite part: Blaik and his little "BBQ"
my kiddos sing at insane cathedral in L.A.
มุมมอง 6832 ปีที่แล้ว
The kids had a concert in LA so we made a whole California weekend of it. This video is part one, and in it we get to explore the Christ Cathedral, build a sand castle at the beach, meet our cousin's baby chicks, and watch Lanai enthusiastically pack her suitcase days in advance. Favorite part: Blair giving me a citation, and Lanai saying "this is a fun time at the beach".
We hold giant birds in Ireland
มุมมอง 2.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We got to hold giant birds of prey at Kingdom Falconry in Dingle Peninsula. This was Blaik's Christmas present last Christmas, and he was like, "ohhhh, yay. thanks." But watching the look of wonder on his face as he held them made me feel good about our choice.
finally updating our little house!...(phase 1)
มุมมอง 1.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Goodbye nasty carpet and pee colored walls! Hello, new luxury plank vinyl and white walls. It's all a part of my plan to have my dream home aesthetic, which is boho, eclectic, museum. The white open spaces of a pretentious Parisian museum full of strange pops of color and an even more strange mural here and there. Favorite part of the vid: Ben putting on a "camp" for Lanai.
Our Clueless American Family Goes to Irish Hurling Game
มุมมอง 54K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hurling has been played in Ireland for OVER A THREE THOUSAND YEARS!!! So of course we had to see it for ourselves. I'm sorry my very sporadic observations do not do this incredible sport justice. But it was absolutely grand watching, and now Ben wants to hurl..be a hurler(?).
(part 2) my story of obsessive religion {scrupulosity}
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Back again for part 2 of all the scrupulosity feels. Man, apparently I have a lot to say about this. But if shame really does thrive in the dark, hopefully honesty and vulnerability can live in the light. Also, this is just my personal unprofessional experience. I am not a mental health specialist, I'm just a human with a story.
trip to DUBLIN..and a casual midlife crisis
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Our family of five visits Dublin, and I have a wee bit of a midlife crisis. No big deal. Really, this video has been such a joy to make as I process my time in Ireland's capital and remember how amazing and stunning it all really was. Even if at the time I felt like a zombie.

my debilitating lifelong obsession and compulsions with religion. You know, just talking about something really chill and light today. Ha!

The action of striking the ball in hurling is called a puc. This is why ice hockey has a puck as the object being stuck. A misunderstanding between noun and verb from Irish to English. Ice hockey is just a version of hurling on a frozen lake in 1900s Canada
When the ball goes in the net it is called a goal when it goes over the bar it is a point
Its called a hurley not a stick ❤😂
I grew up playing it hurling love the sport❤
as an irish man, scrolling through the comments i have to say, were bleedin sound.
Honestly this mirrors my experience super closely, though maybe mine started slightly later in life. I was a part of Charismatic churches, not Mormon churches. I still believe in God but I literally cannot think about reading the Bible or praying without all of the compulsive feelings coming back.
Limerick are going for 5 All-Irelands in a row this year
Hi I'm Irish from cork and I got you to your 400th sub
Hurling and Gaelic football are two very physical sports hurling is very good in Munster and Gaelic football is better in Leinster with the exception of Kilkenny who have reached 2 consecutive all Ireland finals hurling is better there cause there the only county without a Gaelic football team and limerick demolished Offaly because they have won 4 consecutive all Ireland finals
Tbf they could’ve went croke park
And the proliferation of Ukraine flags
The music is beautiful
Limerick v Offaly
The game is at least 1500 years old although nobody knows what the rules were way back then.
12:22 Absolutely the best pronunciation of sliotar I've heard from any non-irish commentator !!!
By the way the person you took a photo with is called Diarmuid Byrnes, the best free taker in the country!
You and your family are a gift from heaven for Ireland. Kids are so great, I have decided to call your middle child Koala after the toilet rolls.
Brilliant commentary, do more like this. 😃😃😃😃
Hi Mandi, i am a newcomer to your videos and i find them really interesting because they are so different than any other that i have seen. You have an amazing family with three lovely kids, i hope you are proud of them. Keep the music in your videos, because just like the wind, rain and wild coastline it is part of being Irish. I must say that you all did the Leprechaun Dance excellently. I hope you make many many more videos and just remember, we all go through things that we cannot fix over night , so give yourself the time and space to deal with it. The seaside is the perfect place to help you. Regards, Stephen
It's cause it's the greatest sport the world has no idea exists 😂

SHE IS VERY TRUE THAT LIMERICK IS WAY BETTER THAN OFFALY HA HOW BUUUT IF OFFALY HAD ADAM SCREENY THEY WOULD OF BEEN BETTER

Another great video. Thanks Mandy. Cork Beo means Cork Live (or Cork Alive). Please come back to Ireland. We love people that love their trips to our country.
Your soliloquy with the sheep was so funny. Do stand up comedy, it suits you.
I'm from limerick and play camogie ( hurling for girls) and it is currently my life and everything I do is play camogie. I'm so glad you went to see these lads do what they do best and I think it's even better as they don't get paid and can't transfer to different teams, you play for the county you were born and raise in.
hope youre doing well and keeping up the passion, love from belfast <3
The handmade Cross on the grave is Saint Brigids Cross that's celebrated on the 6th of February. Imbolac also a pagan festival to celebrate Brigid .
um...hurling probably not descended from ice hockey.....it's been played for about 3000 years......:)
Beautiful video
