Great content, explanations are on point! And photos are fascinating, you got your style !
@@Shotsofher Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video! 🙌
great video.
I love this so much! Some really amazing shots and your explanation of the old football stadium was incredible
one thing that worked with the Wide 300 was to hold the shutter button after taking the photo, the camera will only eject a frame after you release the button
@@ROFLMAOSHTISMOJ that's a cool feature that I didn't know about!
I really want to try this camera out but I wish it had the same features as the mini 99...
@@lofiben Would be so cool if they made a wide with 99 features! I'm tempted to make a similar video with the 99 though 👀
late to the party but another fantastic one
I did the same... I was on the Fuji system, I wanted to see what it's like to be on full frame... and after three weeks I sold all the Sony equipment and returned to Fuji.
@@dandanu2526 I had my full frame Sony for 2 years and loved it, it was just time for a change for me!
cool. especially like telephone booth
thanks for keeping it simple 🥳
a perfect balance of ruggedness and beauty.
I made a video on this camera too, sick little instax - great video!
@@andyxmunoz Thank you! I'll be sure to check out your video on it too!
great video, sir. the images captured were well thought out and framed. really enjoyed this review of camera and application of your skills at work. shows me you understand and appreciate photography.
@@KG-theknickerbockerkid Thank you so much! 🙌
Seem to be bucking the trend (at least amongst TH-camrs) and ditching their Fujis, with regards to the two recent Firmware flops, especially with the AF.
@@cameraman655 That's fair enough! I try not to follow the trend and more just go for whichever camera suits me!
Very good movie. You can share someone RAW photos of A7III + 28-70?
@@fabiofollmann Thank you! If you check some of my more recent POV with the A7III I share the RAW first before my final edit in those!
Thank you so much for the video, one stupid question why does it come white ? I see the ones you hold on your hands are white
@@drowzydish glad you enjoyed the video! So the photo comes out white at first as it takes a couple of minutes for the film to develop 😊
@@jimmypmedia ah okay thank you so much and keep going
Excellent video. I too am switching from Sony. Fuji in my opinion are more inspirational to use.
@@danrodriguez8355 Thanks mate! Hope you enjoy your new Fuji camera 😄
Great shots with the Instax Wide. What I like about instant photography is that after the shot is taken, you have a real, physical photo and not just a file that sits on your camera or smartphone buried among the thousands of other photographs on your device. Instant photos are one of a kind artifact of your day of street photography. Keep up the good work.
@@Poverello2001 Thank you for your kind words! 🙌 Agreed it's really cool to have a physical photo rather than just digital and made a nice change to my usual style of street photography 😄
May as well tell us something useful about the camera *queue blaring bagpipes and sirens* 🤣
@@Milemm23 yeah that was some bad timing 🙄😂
@@jimmypmediaLove the video though, and you. The footage is so much better quality than the GoPro could get (when it's pointing the right way)
Enjoyable video. Can you tell me what lens you used Thanks
Thank you! I used the Tamron 70-300 for most of the shots while it was still light, some of them were shot on the Sony FE 28-70! The night shots were all on the Sony 50mm FE! I put the full name of all lenses in my description 😊
@@jimmypmedia Thank you Im off to buy the Sonya7iii today with the 28-70 kit lens
clear, simple - great movie
@@bulonbulon4888 thank you! 🙌
Very good video. Presented well. Good advice, for novices and good reminders for seasoned photographers. I give this video an A+. Thank you for sharing this.
@@ElevatedThreat Thank you so much for your kind words 🙌 Glad you enjoyed the video 😄
Great basic tips that definitely can make a difference
@@RamPrism Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the video 😊
Good video Jimmy. I do like having an ideas list to fall back on when the creative juices cease up a bit. A favourite of mine is specific colour, wether matching or contrasting. Regards John.
@@reevesylfc8390 Thank you so much John! Love the idea of having a list to fall back on, I have something similar but with ideas for future videos!
This video was definitely worth the wait! Very good points made. Not sure about the puns 😅😂
I have a a7rv and an xt5 and actually find my astrophotography files to be much cleaner and more pleasing on the xt5. Yes the a7rv is sharper but that absolutely doesn’t lead to a pleasing images. Imo ;) Great video loved hearing your opinion
That's great to know for when I finally get round to doing some astro on the X-T5 😄 thanks for your kind words! ✌️
Beautiful, loved the full video even more ❤❤
Great work man! Keep up!
Thanks man really appreciate it! 🙌
Hi, are you still usiing 70-300 ? Worth buying for urban photography ?
Hey, I don't use the 70-300 anymore as I've switched to Fuji! It was an awesome lens though and I loved it for street photography, would highly recommend!
Thanks Jimmy. Have 28-75 for family , which is a little bit to short/ or i am to shy for street photography :D
@@TheSvecias haha me too! I prefer telephoto lenses generally for street photography as it's more subtle shooting from distance!
Finally tried it around Mayfair today, great fun. My only concern now to learn shooting on cloudy days with long aperture. Iso was going up to 1600 and i did felt that would like to push it even higher
@@TheSvecias How slow are you going with shutter speed? I've been experimenting much more recently with slower shutter speeds in street photography and its a lot of fun 😊
Felt really emotional watching this 🥹 such a gorgeous city and you've captured it so beautifully ❤️
It was an incredible city to photograph! Thankyou for the amazing b roll 🖤
Love the shots through the gate. Really adds depth. Also it was about five minutes we weren't recording it was a fairly level bit of the trail.
The trees weren't dead they were just leafless 😅😂
Same thing? 😂
the Witcher 3 inspires me hard afffff
Also an incredible game!
I started playing Ghosts of Tsushima in November 2020, and after not taking photographs in any sort of serious way for years, I suddenly couldn't not take photographs anymore. Both in that game and in the world, I wanted to get out and see the shape of things. More than three years later, photography is what I care about most, and it has led to some incredible memories. Additionally, Ghosts has to have the best in-game camera system I've yet encountered and is picturesque in nearly every moment. I think I spent twice as much time wandering around, capturing landscapes and documenting village life, than I did actually playing the game.
I love this! Sounds very similar to my story as I previously did a lot of videography which I lost my passion for, this was the game that reignited my creativity and pushed me into photography! It's cool to find people who had a similar experience with the game!
The potential benefits of taking images in video games is something that I have talked to people about for a while now (the reception to the idea has been, shall we say, a little mixed!). I recently re-started my photography blog after quite some time away and this very topic was actually one of the first posts I have re-purposed/re-published because of my belief in the benefits.
I can definitely understand the reception being mixed as I know photographers can be quite set in their ways! There are so many benefits though and it's always cool to see there's like minded people out there!
@@jimmypmedia You're not wrong about how some photographers can be set in their ways, it's caused me some disagreements with a few. Like you say though, it is cool to see there is some like minded folks about.
What are your settings for street photography and the iso/shutter speed
Hey, I generally change my settings as I'm going with street photography depending on the amount of light and amount of movement I want in my shots! If you check out some of my more recent POV videos I always post settings on screen 😊
This has actually inspired me to use game photo modes to inspire my IRL photography. Awesone video man.
That's amazing, always happy to hear I've inspired someone 😄 thank you! 🙌
Love this, such a great video! I really like the Horizon series for practicing landscape / urban decay stuff.
Thank you so much! 🙌 I found it awesome for practicing compositions using cars in landscapes!
@@jimmypmedia Hah my bad. I meant the Horizon Zero series so HZD and Forbidden West. Horizon is genius for motorsport definitly going to try it. Thanks so much for these tips, can't wait for the next one.
@@heyzk_ Haha this makes more sense given you said urban decay 😂 I played Horizon a long time ago but never finished it, may have to check out the photo mode one day! No worries man glad you enjoyed the video!
Love the video! Definitely didn't bully you for that number plate every time 🙄 And who said the train will come? 😂😂
Look right Big Chungus is still funny and that's a hill I'm willing to die on 😂 Just be glad I didn't attempt to drive on the tracks when we actually went there 😂
@@jimmypmedia I know you're bothered when you bring out the "look, right" 😂
wow, great vid!! 😁
Thank you so much! 🙏
How have you found videoing on the Sony A73?
Hey, I mostly used the A7III just for photography in my time with it however the bits of video I did shoot came out really nice! I would definitely recommend a gimbal or something similar if using off tripod though as the stabilisation wasn't great for me!
Excellent work. I also love doing street photography on rainy days 👌👌🏆
Thanks mate! Definitely my favourite condition to shoot in!
Have you ever used the auto ISO at night?
Hey, I actually haven't! I just use full manual with all my settings as I find it gives me better control over how my shots look 😊
Mate, the pictures at 1:45 are incredible. Thumbnail is top too!
Thanks mate! Very much appreciated 🙌
how is he getting f1.8 on f4.5 to 6.3 lens
need info
Hey, can't remember if I mentioned in the video but in the description I mentioned the lens I used for the night shots was the Sony 50mm FE 1.8 ✌️
Secondo te è valido come obbiettivo per ritratti street???
Light streaming through gaps in clouds will always be a top 5s aesthetic 🌥️
Best Lense for 6100?
Depends on what you're after, zoom or prime? Budget? I might not be the best person to ask as I only had 3 lenses in my time with the a6100, and they were all quite cheap! A channel that reviews camera gear might be your best bet! 😊
TXxx bro
I was in there a few weeks ago with my wife, there was a young guy like yourself and a young lady but I really don’t think it was you as we’ve met and spoke before and I would have known it was you immediately. I asked what film you had but it was too expensive for my needs, I’m just testing all my film cameras with up the intention of selling most, sold a few already, bloody cheap too. Im after a Canon R6 as I want something better suited for my Land/Seascape work, probably trade in my XT3 but as it’s been knocked about a bit it may not be worth it so may keep it. I was looking at leaving Fuji completely but I’ve seen the XT-5 new for, what I think is a great price but wonder how it is for Landscape Photography? Any advice, greatly appreciated
Hi Brian, definitely wasn't me you saw in there as I would have remembered seeing you! Would be great to see you if you pop in again though 😊 If you have any of the film cameras left I'd be interested in buying, will message you! I havent tested the X-T5 for landscape use extensively yet but have a trip to Wales planned in July so that'll be the next time I do a lot of landscape with it!
More of a Fujifilm paid advertisement. Well, like most of the 'reviews' we see lately.
I wish 😂
Another green Fuji video. A typical example of the green Fuji colors, i personally hate. I could say that it`s beyond me, to want this instead of the natural and vivid Sony rendering. But hey, that`s just me.
Feel free to watch my entire back catalogue of videos before this one that are all Sony 😂✌️
@@jimmypmediaWell........what can i say. I wonder how you are able to get this results. I don`t recognize Sony at all. No offence but i`ve seen better.
I'd never take offence from someone so judgemental about someone else's photography 😌 You're not my audience, move on ✌️
Stay on Sony. Don't bother us again:)))
I switched from Canon 5d 3 to Fuji xt5 some time ago - best thing I every did photographically speaking.
Have never used any Canon cameras, but glad to hear the switch worked out for you too 🙌
The size of the sensor has no effect at all on high ISO performance. That is affected by pixel density on the sensor and the number pf photons each receptor can capture in a given time. Visualise a full frame sensor. Take a pair of scissors to it and cut it down to APS-C size. Is the ISO performance of each pixel affected? Of course not (yes, yes, I know it won't work at all. But you get my point). It is true, though, that for a given field of view you will have fewer pixels in an image from the smaller sensor, assuming the same pixel density. This may affect enlargements, cropping and so on and if those are important enough you may want to move a bit closer to your subject. But as high ISO performance has improved so much over the years, and pixel density has increased at the same time, it's much less of an issue than it used to be. Good luck with your new channel.
Hey, thank you for this insight, that's really helpful as my knowledge is much more surface level than this! My knowledge of full frame Vs APS-C has mostly come from online opinions and research, as I never did much low light shooting with my previous APS-C camera before switching to full frame, so not a lot of experience to compare until now! Appreciate the feedback and thank you for your words of support 🙌
