I do not specialize in synths but this doesn't look like a standalone unit. It probably is a weird midi controller for something "under the hood".

Not bad, for $10 pickups! I'm getting a set of these to upgrade a Fretwire LP kit that has 3 humbuckers (rather than the usual 2), since the stock pickups are only 2 wire and therefore can't be run as splits.
My guitar at that time had a shitty electronics and it is a bit mellow and dark by itself. Personally i just dont like the way ceramic pups sound. But...I bought a set of Fleor alnico 5 minihumbuckers and they sound really nice.

Sounds great. I am wondering if I should purchase the Fleor alnico 5 or should I buy the Wilkinson alnico 5. Both are the same price which one is more cleaner?
i dunno. wilkinson is just selling licences to everyone, so the demos you might find will not be really representative. On the other hand fleor seems to be an established chineese brand and their pickups seem solid. Since shooting this video i've put this pickup into my swamp ash floyd rose superstrat and i can confirm that this pickup does not generaly sound as dark as this video might make you think. also, an alnico 5 fleor is such a seymuor duncan super shred ripoff.... i think it should be at least representative of that pickup's sound.
