Ever wonder if this Back to Black stuff actually works? Well I did! I was curious if it could restore the extremely faded bumpers on my '94 Westfalia T4 camper van. Have a look at the results!

1994 VW T4 Eurovan Westfalia CV Joint and Steering Tie Rod Problem Fixed
มุมมอง 28910 หลายเดือนก่อน
We recently started hearing a knocking sound coming from the front of the Westfalia while driving. We suspected a CV joint issue but the noise went away. That didn't last long, unfortunately, as the noise came back louder and louder. After a harrowing drive to the mechanic, we discovered that the right CV joint/axle boot had ripped and grease leaked out. We also found out that the right tie rod...

Thanks
Everything is so complicated, plenty to go wrong with age. You can see why these things were so expensive. My conversion is better and cheaper by $tens of thousands. VWs are not reliable, so these must a nightmare.
Мне тоже такая машина нужна
what about the fridge mate?
Thanks, looks like an easy product to use ... it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts. (Hint: opening the rear door will give much better access to the top of the bumper)
So after a week it definitely faded a bit. A few weeks later and it still looks like how it did after that first week. I've also washed the van twice and it still looks the same. I'll likely apply it again to see what happens. LOL Yes, opening the rear door would have totally helped 😆
Where are you located that this model is available? This is not a USA Westy.
I'm in Canada. You're correct. This isn't the US version, which was made by Winnebago in the US and looks slightly different. The version sold in Canada was made in Germany.
I prefer a motel 😅
Thanks for this, thinking of seeking one of these out here in Montreal, and this helps.
Good luck!
I just bought this exact same Eurovan on Vancouver Island today. Same year, with the manual transmission. Your video was super helpful with getting me acquainted with the ins and outs of this quirky little campervan. Thanks!
Cool! Glad it helped and hope you enjoy the van! You might also find this other video I made useful when it comes to the sink: th-cam.com/video/rGRxcYfvs3g/w-d-xo.html
@@VWEurovanWestfalia Thanks! I'll check it out.
Would you mind sharing the price you paid and condition etc?
@@gregc6661 The condition was exactly as it is now in the video. It had about 270,000km when I bought it. I'd prefer not to share the price paid, but the value has appreciated significantly in the time I've had it (6 years).
very cool. These were quite rare in Westfalia trim as most of the ones I've seen online seem to be the longer Winnebago versions. I'm in Canada and have seen a few of the Westy versions on the streets but very rare compared to the Vanagon versions.
Definitely rarer than the Winnebago versions, as this model was only made for Canada and not the US.
