This is the year Massillon beat a college team in a preseason exhibition game 40something to nothing, and no team scored on them till mckinley. Paul Brown’s last year.

The greatest rivalry in highschool football. The atmosphere in this game is unreal. The fans from both teams are great. The cities are literally 3 miles apart. Almost 20,000 people in Fawcett.

Thanks for this video on the greatest DEFENSE during the playoff era!!! Iggy only scored on blocked punt! Pups shut out 9 0f 13 opponents and could have easily been 10!! McKinley won their first Playoff title beating Moeller 13-0 and I was there to celebrate!!! Great team and great memories!

Watching this again and will say isn't it poetic justice that after all these years Pups still have 3 titles on the field and the dreaded team to the west has 0? What do they say about payback?

This game still brings tears of joy!! yes the greatest defense I feel also since playoffs started and many historians have ranked it as such!! I was there and will cherish all McK titles in 97 and 98 as well!!
