Usually half and half, nymphs and jig streamers. Lots of caddis pupae, little sculpins and perdigons. Jigging, dead drifting and swinging. All the things! 😎👍

Good question! I run the same length of tippet all day. Typically an arm length and a half. I’ll just increase weight for depth. There are times when my sighter is underwater, but I’m good with that.

@@TroutDirty Thanks! yeah, I wasn't sure if the sighter being underwater seemed to spook the fish or not

There are some waters and conditions that the sighter might affect their behavior, but not the type of water that I enjoy fishing 😎👍

Both boats are 16’. The cataraft is fun, but has its drawbacks in this river. The gear boat (coming soon) is the one I use for work and in my opinion, actually better for this type of water (other than a hard boat) 😎👍

40-50% of the time I’m using jig streamers. Depending on the water type and time of year, swinging certain flies can be extremely effective 😎👍
