I have been curious about some people who have been diagnosed with ME/CFS and later on were diagnosed with some type of cancer. After treatment for cancer, their ME/ CFS disappeared. I'm not certain what type of treatment they were given and if it was some type of immunology.

Thanks for takig the time to share your knowledge! What do you think about the research into elevated post-prandial lactate levels being done by Renegade Research? This seems to be a way of introducing a "stressor" without the additional stress that comes from a CPET.

Gut imbalance, leaky gut, SIBO and all other intestinal disorders are the root causes for all illness, sickness and imbalance. Fasting, intermittent fasting, eliminate sugar and high carb foods, especially processed and fake foods. Drink distilled water and distilled water with lemon first thing on an empty stomach. Looking elsewhere to solve an issue, is like blaming the train itself when it arrives late to it`s destination and you begin to tinker with it, instead of looking at the train conductor who was out getting drunk the night before. Focusing just on an organ when it is not functioning correctly instead of looking at the nerves which supply it. Groups have not been truthful about the true history of the human being, which we do not even understand yet fully, so how are we expected to understand the role of viruses in the human being if we do not fully understand the human being? Only when we understand the human will we understand the role viruses have upon the human being.

I hate the word malaise almost as much as I hate the word fatigue. Malaise sounds so Victorian to me…like we’re all lying back on a fainting couch waiting for someone to bring us smelling salts! It’s words like fatigue and malaise that contribute greatly to people not taking this seriously! 😔😠

The pacing advice is funny when you have POTS. My resting HR is 55-60. If I stand up, my HR is 120-130. Without any activity and that's on beta blockers. LOL

I’m house bound and sometimes bedridden. Yes, it’s hard and I’m not suggesting that you push beyond your limit, but save the video to your Watch Later file or make your own filing system and watch as much as you can. If you’re struggling with bad brain fog, focus on getting enough of that cleared up so you can take in more complex information. Also do your best to get radical rest everyday to build up your resilience. I was diagnosed with ME over 30 years ago so I know of which I speak. I was in remission for a long time, and had a relapse when I also began having symptoms of Syringomyelia and Leukoencephalopathy. I’m now worse than I ever was, but it’s possible to watch videos like this. 😊

Lovely and encouraging reply, @julien… I would add to the recommendations this: maybe don’t try hard to process the info. Instead go into listening to these discussions (that are often heavy on the technical side) with an open neutral mind, kind of casually😉, and def NOT having any “self talk” like “it’s over my head”, “too much info”, etc… but instead just play it and hear the gist of it. And if you’d like to try a better understanding of the more technical stuff, come back to it at a later time. We really do pick up on more than we might give ourselves credit for.

The antibiotics I've taken at least haven't helped me elsewhere but aren't amoxyclave. Although as stated in another comment removing my appendix helped heaps until the vaccine exacerbation.

Yeah I was incredibly fit and ate healthier than anyone I knew as well. But also I did tend to get a lot of short acute illnesses. More than my friends. Put it down to swimming heaps, playing water polo heaps and developing a chlorine allergy though. Also insomnia which I had since at least five years old. Not many twisted ankles and such though fortunely! Seemed resilient there at least. I also had some dizzyness if I stood up fast for many years but no pots like things otherwise. Doctors put it down to being tall which I am. I slowly stated developed rosacae or that red flushing trash on the cheeks and it hit harder with alcohol or dairy into my lage teens and early twenties. I think I felt extra fatigued after I caught a virus from my Chinese international friends in late 2019 for the whole NZ summer (December through February) . But I could still excercise intensely. Just felt wasted. Before I ended up catching a still unknown virus in early 2020 and this drove me deep deep into all the problems. Also I had a grumbling appendicitis issue in summer 2018 through to start of 2019 thag I didn't realize was appendicitis until I got it out at the end of 2020 when it flared up again in early 2020 with the virus. Getting it out actually made me feel decently better and I started slowly being able to walk and bike again until the vaccination in late 2021 caput me for good with strong PEM and pots and so on. I was 23 back in early 2020. I probably broke my tail bone back when I was 21 by being silly in the gym and kettle ell swinging inbetween a squat set right into the squat rack. Maybe that also disrupted my spine a bit seeing as it's linked somewhat tk the structure. Dunno. I say probably because of intense pain and not being able to excercise for more than six months. But I never got it scanned as I thought it was bruised for a long time.

I tried a keto diet, hoping for improved me/cfs, and I ended up so much worse off that I was unable to drive or speak clearly. Fortunately, the worsened symptoms went away as soon as I ate some carbs. Part of the problem may have been that I was histamine sensitive, and on keto high histamine foods dominated. At least as a result I found out about my histamine sensitivity, and got some meds and supplements that help with that.
