AIR LIFT 1000 installed on my 2024 Jeep Rubicon X Wrangler!
Just installed the Air Lift 1000 spring bags and I couldn't be more excited about how the Jeep handles now! For just over $100, the ride is no longer swaying and I have completely eliminated the sag that comes from heavy loads when going camping or pulling a trailer!

What roof rack did you buy?
Hooke Road Aluminum. (They have a steel version too)
I have the same jeep, 2024 Rubicon X, I want to put 37" tires on. Like yours. Do you have any rubbing issues on the stock wheels with no lift??
Hey there! Thanks for the question. No, I haven’t had any rubbing issues at all, and I have been on some pretty serious stuff! However, when I am loaded down with camping gear I was sagging a bit in the rear. So I added an airlift kit in the rear and solved that issue.
looks good
Thank you!
Nice video and Jeep! Just came back from Moab with my 24 Rubicon X, I had the same issue after loading the bed, batteries … in the back. Will have to try this, hoping to try some trails on East coast now that I am back home but this was one of the issues that I wanted to address.
Thank you! I’m actually headed to back Moab/Colorado in July! Can’t wait! But yeah, I think you will be satisfied with the outcome! Provides the support you need! Let me know if you have any questions!
I saw a guy build a mount for putting his jackery up on the rollbar for power.
I love to see how others do things! Thanks for the comment!
@@seoverland316 you’re welcome! do you daily drive your jeep or is it primarily for camping?
It is my daily driver. However, I bought this Jeep to specifically build it out for adventures in the outdoors and camping!
Where did you get the push bar? Link?
Thanks for the question! I actually had the bar left over from a 2021 JL that I had never installed. So unfortunately I don’t have a link. I believe it is a warn bar, but I really don’t remember.
The 2024 Wranglers just arrived in Australia this week. We like your setup.
Thank y’all very much!! Are you planning on purchasing/ building one?
@@seoverland316 we have the 2022 rubicon we are building as a camper.
I’m thinking about getting one. How does it hold up in the wind?
It does very well in the wind! I have used it once in pretty good winds without deploying the poles and there was hardly any noticeable difference than when I had the pole deployed. It is a solid awning!
Nice video, thankyou for sharing. Im 54 years old and thought about a rooftop tent but I really don't think they are worth it, climbing up and down that ladder in the night for a pee and you can get a bloody good tent or swag way cheaper than a rooftop tent and are guaranteed not to break a leg..
Thanks for the comment. I completely understand!
Pack an empty water bottle to piss in on your way to bed for the night
Here are the steps I took to install the air support springs. I said in the video it wasn’t easy, but it really wasn’t to difficult either. If you do it yourself, just take your time and you should be fine! First I jacked up the receiver hitch which stretched the springs out. After running the air lines and putting the bags inside of the springs, I then connected the airlines to the bags and used my iPhone to check the connections since I couldn’t really see it. This was the most challenging part of the install. Afterwards I ran my lines to the rear and installed them to each side of my receiver hitch. The reason I ran dual lines is so I could level the vehicle if I was heavier on one side than the other. So far I am very happy with the ride and the performance of the Air Lift 1000!
hi, i ordered a rubicon x a couple months ago. Do the service shops for jeep install those air lifts or does that void warranty?
Thanks for the question! Most any dealership or off-road shop will install them and they do not void the warranty. I installed these in my garage and It took me about 3.5 hours to install them myself.
Nice video. I like your setup. I plan on doing some of the same when I get my 24 Rubi X in a few weeks. As far as radio antennas, check out the video (You Have The WRONG Antenna - GMRS Radio Antenna Basics & 1st Look Midland Bull Bar Antennas) from Outdoor Auto. I didn't put the link as I wasn't sure how TH-cam would handle that.
Thank you for your reply! And I will defiantly check out the antennas!
Had a RTT went back to a ground tent (Gazelle T8) for same reasons you mentioned. Wife won’t climb ladder to RTT. We can bring the dogs with us. And being able to stand up while dressing, having potty chair for wife, etc makes ground tent winner. For a young single male with no family a RTT is ok for speed and ease of setting and breaking camp.
Thanks for the comment Mike! I agree with you completely! While RTT make sense for many, for others like us the ground tent is a better option! Thanks for your input!
It is the Hooke Road Aluminum.
Very nice...I think I'm more inclined these days to overland instead of flying out to somewhere warm. So much od Canada and USA I haven't seen.
Thanks for the comment! I agree!
What roof rack brand you got?
Nice to see you again. I wish I was staying close to your place. I have suggestion for Fridge, Power station and Roof tent. Fridge : BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator Dual Zone, Portable Freezer Fridge APP Control, 37 Quart (35L) Compressor Freezer Fridge 12V/24V DC 110~240V AC, -4℉-68℉ Power Station : BougeRV has power stations too. I did not choose any particular model yet but I will prefer buying the one with LifePO4 batteries. They are safer and last longer. Roof tent : Check Inspired overland. I liked it a lot as it suits my budget, my needs as a beginner and is very light weight. Thanks for the cool video.
Thanks for the comments and the suggestions!! I have been looking at the BougeRV power stations. I will check out the fridge too!
Nice setup. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment!
I recently bought a 24' Sport 2.0L auto that came with a 3.5' Teraflex lift and 35' Nitto's on 18' Fuel wheels. It came with some upgrades above the base Sport. I'm happy (-;
Congratulations! Sounds like a nice set up!!
Well thought out set up you have, efficient and practical
Thank you Jim! I appreciate it!
What is the color?
Silver Zenith Clear-Coat
@seoverland316 that's what I thought but wasn't sure if it was dirty white or silver. My 2012 JK is bright silver. I think the two silver paint colors might actually be the same.
You might be correct on that! They are certainly very similar! @@kenwilliams4086
I have the same Jeep and I am looking at doing a winch. What kind of winch plate/mounting hardware did you need? Great video!
Thank you for the comment, and great question! I used a Rough Country Winch Mounting Plate (for a 18-23 JL) I ordered it online from Extreme Terrain. They had the lowest price. I believe it was $149.95. Hope this helps!
@@seoverland316 Thanks! Any issues with fitment with the RC Mount?
None at all. Bolted right in place! @@timflaherty2731
Did you have to mod anything to get the 37’s to fit? Like the rear tail light, and is there any offset in the rims?
I ordered this Jeep with the recon package. It came with 1.5" of lift above the stack rubicon. The 37's fit perfectly without any mods and I have zero rubbing even while serious off-roading. The rims are also a factory upgrade with the recon package. I'm not sure what the offset is, but it works great! Stock tail light.
I have a 2023 Rubicon 392 with extreme Recon. The same specs as your for lift and rims, I believe. I was thinking about changing to 37’s. Thank you for the info.
Absolutely! @@MrSilentarcher
You should have opted for the 488 gear option. It fits 35s and 37s better . If your going serious offroad then you may want a Mopar 1 and a half inch lift on top of what you.have . It will rub with those 37s unless your just doing basic trails .
Thanks for the comment. The tires do not rub. I have already done some serious offloading at Beasley Knob, GA and Windrock Park, TN. This Jeep came from the factory with the lift. (About 2" higher than stock Rubicon)
absalutely fantastic car . luv it. thnxs 4 vid.
I'm thinking about getting me one as my last vehicle
That's an amazing setup for the beginners like me. I subscribed and will follow you along. Thanks for the useful information.

@@seoverland316The Hooke Road cargo tray is not available in Canada :(

How are the 37s with mopar lift? Also, did you get the 4.56 or 4.88 gears? I just got a Rubicon X with the 35s and want to go to a 37. Great setup!
Thanks for the comment! The 37s are working out perfectly! Mine is the Rubicon X with the recon package. It came with the BFG 35s, but my dealer swapped with me for the 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I stayed with the 4.56 gears. It works great and has plenty of power and quick acceleration. I have done some serious trails and had zero rubbing issues. I love this setup!!
I bought a 2024 Rubicon Extreme Recon! I subbed!
Congratulations! And thanks for following along!
We bought the exact same and it's our first ever jeep.. Definitely will follow along.
Thanks for the comment Mike! And thanks for following along! Look for more soon! I'm currently overlanding in North Georgia and North Carolina.
What’s your fuel mileage?
Hi Steven. True mpg is 16. Slightly less if I am wide open on Interstate. Slightly more if I’m on backroads. I’m running 4:56 gears. I have a buddy who runs 37s with standard 4:10 gears and he gets a little better, but I have more get up and go than he does. Hope this helps!
Love the setup! Awesome jeep
Thanks! I appreciate it!!
My Rubi x is supposed to be delivered by the 4th of December. I am curious if you have flexed out at all in and experienced any rubbing with the 37's? I want to add 37's to this one like my old one but I dont want to lift it any higher. Too many issues with previous lifts.
Hey Steven! ! I ordered mine with the extreme recon package, so it came factory lifted and with BFG 35’s. This is about 2" higher than the stock Rubicon. I had my dealer install 3/4” Tera Flex spacers on front and back and he switched out the tires to the 37” Nitto RGs. I drove it before and after installing the spacers and I didn't feel any difference in the ride. I have zero rubbing. None at all. Beasley Knob is one of Jeeps Badge of Honor trails rated at 7-9. The tires never rubbed and that was with full articulation and sway bars disconnected. I just got back from Windrock Off-road park in Tennessee and had no issues there as I did all three badge of honor trails. Anyway, I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
That is great news! I ordered the same package because I didn’t want to go down that road of replacing everything to get a decent lift. Thank you!
@@stevenvoss311 Any time!
Looks amazing guy cant wait to see your build out. I just recieved my 2024 Rubicon X in Anvil gray and I love it.
Thank you! And congratulations on your new Jeep! I was torn between the Anvil gray and the Zenith Silver. Anvil is a great looking color! But I am super stoked with the silver!
thank you@@seoverland316
@@seoverland316 Happy Trails 🙂
I just bought a 2024 Wrangler Sport 4DR that came with a 3.5" lift and 18" Fuel's on 35" Nitto's. What tire pressure should I run on the street? You're about the ninth channel I've sent this question out to with no response so far. And many of those channels I subscribed to )-;
Thanks for checking out my channel. I run mine at 36psi on the road. That seems to work well for me. Of course I usually air down when I run off-road. Hope this helps!
It helps. Thanks.
Nice Jeep! I ordered my rubicon x in July but stll waiting. I want to take mine to Moab as well and was thinking of 37s. I am new to this. Did you makes any changes to put on the 37s? Did you have any issues with rubbing or flexing on the trail?
Thanks bro! I ordered it with the extreme recon package. It came factory lifted and with BFG 35’s. I had my dealer install 3/4” Tera Flex spacers on front and back and he switched out the tires to the 37” Nitto RGs. I have zero rubbing. None at all. At this trail, (check out Beasley Knob. It’s one of Jeeps Badge of Honor trails rated at 7-9.), the tires never rubbed and that was with a lot of articulation and sway bars disconnected. I am very satisfied.
Thanks, I tried finding these online and at Tera Flex. I see the 1" Teraflex but not 3/4". Where did you get these?@@seoverland316
I’m sure they added 2” bump stops in the rear too.
Nice. Looking forward to seeing to seeing u build it out. I’ve got my 24 Rubicon X on order. With the strike, I think it’ll be a few months till I can get it
Thanks! The wait is worth it! Mine shipped just a few days before the strike. I was lucky for sure!
1-4 turbo or v-6. Very nice jeep ❤
It's a 6 with 4.56 gears. Thanks for your question!
