Congrats on your first 70.3! I also made my debut at Muskoka this year, & similarly struggle with swimming in a straight line LOL. One thing I did differently re: nutrition was just dissolve my salt in my race bottles. I figured my body would be able to better use electrolyte if taking it gradually, + it meant one less kind of thing to carry with me!

Going for my first 70.3 in October. Had a similar story to you. I got a concussion a couple months before the race and it took me out for almost a year. Finally working back towards it. Thanks for the inspiration!

If you're not planning to learn algorithm and do 20 second solves try the 8355 method. It will take practice, but it's doable.

I’ve been speed cubing for almost 2 years, and I must say you did a great job. Just a note, if you want to continue this then there will be many more plateaus like that. It is not an easy path, but a very rewarding one. Personally, I average about 17 seconds after 2 years, and I quit for a while because I wasn’t improving. The important part is to keep going and not give up, you did a great job!

I just switched from beginner to cfop and have been practicing for definitely over a month now so having more cube experience from knowing beginner method and still taking longer to reach sub 30 sort of upset me. So I got out my timer and two solves later I get a sub 30. Funny
