So we ignored the road closed sign as often they are still passable on bikes. We soon find out why this was closed though! Not sure of the current condition of the road - if you know please post in the comments!

After the trip to Morocco I fitted a 51T rear sprocket and Gripper tyres and took the Kove out to test it on the North Wales Trans Euro Trail. Can it handle UK trails with an 'average' rider at the controls?

Hi 👋 how do you get from the UK to Malaga? Thank you
@@phifluphi we were very lucky that two of the team took the bikes to/from Malaga by van.
Great video mate. Amazing editing, appreciate all the hard work. Doing a two month trip there at the end of the year. I see you enjoyed the sand, we have endless klm of these kind of tracks here in in Australia 😂. Well done. Yes speed will help but not if you are not ready so do your own pace until you are ready. We all learn the same way. A couple of tricks to help in sand. Do not use first gear especially taking off. Second will do just fine and make things much easier in deep sand. 5 minute of practice will let you get the hang of taking off with out using the clutch too much. Reduce tire pressures in deep sand 15 psi will make life so much easier. Like you said don’t ride the clutch once you get going in or out. Same even deep sand don’t require much feathering once mobile. Get in front it is much harder to ride in the rear and contend with all the snake like tracks from the bikes in front. Stuff your mates 😂 go near the front. Be as relaxed as you can and learn to let the bike move under you. If you fight it you will get tired very quickly. And last look ahead where you want to go not down. It takes a bit but once you master it it becomes dare I say it enjoyable. See you on the trails mate drop us a line if you are ever near Adelaide South Australia.
The journey did not complete to the return road Tata then to Tafraout then to Ighrem then to Tizi N'Tast then Marrakech then Azilal then to Khenifra then to Fez
Loved every min of this, and it tells me THE BIG BIKES ARE TO BIG, I wounder if the mighty NC750x dct would do it with a set of knobblies🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Great video mate and thanks again for organising the ride was a brilliant day out 👍 and fair play you picked up some bike's that kove is a beast 👌 hopefully get out again soon
What tablet are you using on the kove , sold my 790 r a couple of years ago but very interested in the kove .
@@damonbilson1705 it’s a Phonemaxx T1 Pro but I’m not sure I’d recommend it as gps performance isn’t great. I’d prob go for a 2nd hand ActiveTab3 or if you’ve got the Wonga the Thork Racing DMD885.
How many bikes did you pick up? Great day and nice video
The T7 seems to be a bit much, while the Kove 450 seems to be the right tool for the job. The surprise is the Aprilia, although quite a bit heavier than the Kove it seems to do pretty well. Thank you for taking us along.
Finally some sunshine! I remember those Welsh TET trails vividly, rode them on a Beta Alp 200. Fast enough, nimble enough, light. Must come over again, happy New Year, Günter/Nürnberg
Thanks for taking the time to put that together. On a separate note, can I ask what nav system you're using. It fits quite well under the OEM screen.
16:01 Life... finds a way
Was that just the ACT on the way back, surprised it had that much track on it?
Yep - I only recorded the lanes, their was a fair bit of tarmac, but the route was a nice ride...
@adventuresonbikes1370 thanks for letting me know I may give it go
I've just a dr 650 and kitted it out for more off road spec. This vid has been very helpful for a noobie and very entertaining. I like the way your vid keeps the bike action moving and not too much talk about how people are feeling etc. Cheers fae Scotland.
TET I'm familiar with but what is ACT? Great video,
Adventure Country Tracks - They have routes all over Europe with professionally produced videos on TH-cam.
How recent was the footage? thinking of doing some of the TET next week, Suprised how dry some of the trails are! " adventure country tarmac " was too funny 😂
Beginning of September - given the weather I imagine the puddles might be a bit deeper and there's lots of trees down...
Awesome technical trails You guys have over there. The Kove excels compared to the big bikes, I could imagine. Happy with it, i assume! Happy riders on the horses as well, that great for our community. Happy Trails!
I love those deep Welsh puddles. Something unheard of in Bavaria. And once the sun comes out it's such a lush green. Time to ride TET Wales again (on my Beta Alp 200 goat), Günter/Nürnberg PS: Had considered the Kove Rally 450, too. First legendray bike from China.
thanx! how did you get your nav mounted??
3d printed - available on the Kove USA group. Now swapped for a motoboxer gps mount.
Finaly got round to watching a wounderful vid guys. Any probs on the way through?? Waitin for the 800x rally to come to UK , hopefully March 25. Did you replace the original air filter with the foam one?? Cheers guys an appy Xmas, have a very hungover nu yr.❤❤🏍️🏍️🎄🎄⛄️⛄️🙏🙏👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧💎💎
No issues - the UK 450 comes with the foam filter as standard.
How many miles have you got on your kove now?
5200 on mine. Our friend JB as over 10k miles travelling thru EU TET.
Hey man, great trip and nice vid! Going to be watching this to completion when I get some time. Purchasing the Kove and going to be riding it in Kenya. Quick question, I've seen you are using the Mosko Reckless 40l bags. Is that the Stinger 22l tail bag you have on? Planning on buying the Mosko Scout 50l duffle bag and maybe later the Reckless system. Do you have any idea if the Scout 50l will fit with the Reckless system in place of the Stinger?
Yep - I put the 22 on to fit the winter sleeping bag! I'm not sure the Scout 50L will fit between the side bags - I had to rotate mine around and fit it front to back.
What do you think the 800rally will be like??
By all accounts it a great bike. MCNUK have reviews on TH-cam - they do say the throttle is a bit on/off snatchy - something that us 450 owners complain about now and again. Better ECU's are reducing the issue though.
was there - loose sand is tricky but you definitely can not try to ride slow through it. Higher speed is crucial. I was riding dunes on tenere 700 and with speed over 60 its doable.
Great video, where is that ?
Somewhere on the ACT in mid-wales; don't know exact location I'm afraid as not local to the area!
your adventure video is very good. but the image is not clear, sometimes the image is blurry
Did the t7 rider ride kove?! If so what he was saying?...enjoyed video...thanks
Is the can the stock one? Sounds proper an not like a sewing machine or the dreaded Wet Fart!!!😂😂😂😂😂 NICE! ❤❤❤great vid🏍️🏍️👍👍🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@paulcoverdale8312 yep, it’s stock. The induction noise is louder than the exhaust! ☺️
What do you think the 800 rally will be like based on the 450?? ❤❤🏍️🏍️👍👍🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧
Hello, I take exactly the same track few week ago. I know totally what you have done, I was with my T7. I know isn't not a easy part to ride the sand, but you can't ride the sand at 15/20kmh, it not possible, it's very very tricky. You definitly need to go faster (I know this is easy to said, not easy to do). As soon you reach 30/45km, the sand becoming more predictive and your fear about the speed will slickly disappear, trust me. thank for your video, great job.
4 min
Great stuff,I ride the trips over here on isle of man on my ktm sas,I highly recommend a trip over and check it out. Don't come in t.t week though, off season is best ❤
Great ride and the scenery is beautiful. The Kove is a capable bike.
Why take a KOVE 450 to Morrocco to ride on paved roads most of the time? Beats me!
@@SKgeostrat because the 450 is an excellent dual sport - great fun on the road & capable off. That said we didn’t expect so much tarmac - they are replacing all the gravel roads/pistes with tarmac… 😕
@@SKgeostrat ps - you saw us cross the Sahara right? The SAHARA!? 😊
At the start of the video: " Looks like fun , why is the road closed?" At 1:45 --> OMG 😱 Scary section....this sign made sense ;-)
they've had it shut for a while now, another that will take F. knows how long to open 'legally', ridden down it on my 500 and it's not an issue , big bikes and badly balanced riders with no skill, i see the danger but they would hopefully not go through the signs eh......
Bloody hell “ cheese cams “ had a bad day … seemed furious for most of it 😂
Despite the grey weather it's always a joy to ride in the Welsh mountains. You made it through the brook. It might not be the best idea to show passing a road closed sign on TH-cam, though. Locals councils... But then no harm done. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
Just my opinion, but.... Definitely not a good move! I can understand, that the road 'may' have been passable on a bike, but clearly this was not the case, as you found out. My issue is, that you've not only ignored the road closed sign, but filmed it, and put it on TH-cam. Actions like this, 'could' potentially, give the local council (or whomever) the excuse they need, to close this trail permanently! In my opinion, if you are do come across a situation like this again, is, don't post it on Social Media, keep it too yourself. Or, make a post/video, explaining what you found, so you can, as you've done in the description, inquire as to the condition of the trail. As said, just my opinion. Really good channel over all, I do enjoy watching your videos. Be safe, ride safe and have fun.
A fair point, eloquently put. I guess we see so many 'fake' road closed signs (on the TET especially) we've gotten used to checking if the route is passable. I may edit the video, as even though it's not an offence to pass a road closed sign there could be people who would get the wrong idea. Thank you.
@adventuresonbikes1370 Appreciate the honest response. Unfortunately, I'm fully aware, as I'm sure you are, there's a lot of 'Do gooders' out there, watching our videos, just to be able to report anything they 'think' is unsuitable?! Would hate to see you, or anyone else penalised, for something, some people dislike 🤬
Clearly it was passable. We rode it too at the start of September. No problems
Hi, I will be in Morocco at the end of 2024, we already have an off_road track, can we have yours to compare???
Very brave. And impressive. That kove 450 is a weapon too.
Now that you've had three good runs with the Kove, how is the durability and reliability. Any comments on what you find frustrating and what lights your fire.
Did you fit the Wang De Cat pipe?
After the heat of Morocco, you test the waterproofness of the KOVE !!!
😁🤣🤟
nice one lads, cannot believe how low the river was for you - utterly amazed, barely a trickle : i rode strata once last summer and once is enough, i didn't flood my 500 thankfully but what an idiotic lane with water up to my seat, it would be amazing with no water - or if it was just a few inches of clean water - disgusting place
I forgot to record the deepest crossing as I was bricking it! It was over your knees... 🤣
We did it during the 'summer' and it was wetter and deeper than that. You have to keep your speed up as if you hit a rock at slow speed, it will throw you off. Loads of traction and not technical but quite intimidating when the water is up to your tank (Husky 300). You did well, especially lugging all your gear!
lol maybe summer would be idea for that,, to be honest your all out your comfort level big time, also your not on correct bikes you should be on enduro bikes much more suited to that terrain,, but good effort anyway seems like the atmosphere between riders is not good ether
The KTM rider seemed a bit sour. They tested the limit, that’s for sure.
@VignesLVG yea his attitude sucked I would left the bell end there 🤣
@@sebastianspalding5016 😂
i did it in summer last year when it was really bloody hot and yet the water levels at the deepest were at seat height on my exc500 , the levels change so fast and seasons don't make it better or worse as i have seen it in winter extremely low....it's a great lane spoiled by water that is fuc7in stinky and disgusting - my engine cases hated me as did my fork seals.wheel bearings etc and that is before you empty your boots at the other end - my god what a hole
I'm not sure how you concluded all that from us riding one lane? Unfortunately enduro bikes aren't an option when you're on a multi-day trip with camping gear. And the KTM rider is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Would you leave one of your friends behind?
What river was that you were driving down? 😅
Hi. Which part of the TET was this, from where to where? I can see parts around Corwen….Excellent video, and a good summary of the bike.
Wrexham -> Dollygallo
How was the seat? Any issue with loading luggage weight? Risk to break the back?
How was the seat? Any issue with loading luggage weight? Risk to break the back?
I had the seat modded to make it softer in the 'sitting' area. £35. No issue with luggage - the rear tank (subframe if you will) is solid.
