"my mother was murdered in front of me too", the thing is, he didn't see that as a child, he got taken blocks away before he could see the actual moment of his mother being killed, Henry is the one who actually saw Norah dying. Barry only saw that cause he went to the past, and that happend episodes later. Oliver did saw Slade kill his mother, that and 5 years of seeing the worst of humanity.

This is why Green Arrow, Batman and both their respective Teams/Families are my favorite groups of DC Characters is they're all just regular humans as they can be.
