I tried to install one, and now my e-scooter just beeps and displays e0. The brake light doesn’t come on either, but works with just power to it. The headlight can still be turned on though it’s beeping but no power to the motor. What do I do to fix it?I have a controller with no wires, only pins, in case it helps

Goodday! Yes, it is required and that is for the horn. The relay provides enough current needed by the horn in order to have strong/loud sound. Ride safe always!
What if you don't want a key switch
Goodday! For this type of controller you will need a switch. It's optional, you can use a switch with voltage display or just a regular compatible swicth. Ride sade!

Do you need the one with volt meter ? is it necessary to use the key ignition?
Goodday! If you want to monitor the actual voltage of your scooter then it is ideal to use the one with voltmeter display. Not 100% necessary, but it gives extra security for your electric scooter. Ride safe always!

@@redaazzawi2593 Simply to show the remaining voltage (juice) of your electric scooter battery. For example your scooter is powered by a 72v battery. When the battery is fully charged, the voltmeter shows the value (84) voltage. A 72v lithium battery can be fully charged up to 84v.(sometimes little bit lower about 83 point something). As you use your electric scooter the voltmeter shows the remaining voltage. From 84v it will go down 82, 80, 79 and so on. When the meter shows around 72 or 70 that's the time to charge the battery. You are not supposed to drain the battery as this will affect the capability of the battery to handle charge. In short, the voltmeter helps you to notice how much charge(voltage)has and left in your battery. Avoid depleting your battery.
