I'll just say early Genesis is the best Genesis. They still were good after first Peter Gabriel and then Steve Hackett left but the creativity was never quite the same and they veered to becoming full pop from their early progressive rock roots.

This is the right video of Liar to watch. Much better than other versions.

Strictly the tip of a very large iceberg. Highly suggest you check out more of his material, he performs everything from opera to r&b and rap and he does it all fantastically! He now sings in 16 languages, there are a significant number of English language songs if you prefer but don't ever pass on anything just because it's in an unfamiliar language! Every performance and every song is different from the last and virtually every one of them will leave you breathless. There are so many good places to start---perhaps choosing those from his youtube channel which have over 25 million views will get you off in the right direction. There is no one else in the world as vocally talented as Dimash, and I doubt there ever will be.

At this point, you can tell he still looks up (literally) to his big brothers.

I missed that performance because they were new and there was no prior notification of them appearing on television. It was televised about five days before my 13th birthday.

Genesis was one of the leading progressive rock bands through the 1970s. Peter Gabriel was Genesis’ lead singer from 1969-1975. When he left the band, Phil Collins took over as the lead singer (he also continued playing drums on the albums). I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) was the band’s first “hit” song in the UK. It is a bit more accessible than some of the band’s longer prog songs of the time. If you want to listen to more of their Prog rock songs, I recommend you try Firth of Fifth (either Gabriel on the album or Phil on the Seconds Out concert album). If you like they, consider listening to Cinema Show and, then, Supper’s Ready, which is 23 minutes long. These prog songs have a lot of classical music elements with very different-sounding sections of the songs, often instrumentals, melding together. From the Phil-era prog period, I recommend Squonk, Dance on a Volcano, Blood on the Rooftops, Entangled, Ripples, and Afterglow. As the 70s ended, Genesis like most prog bands shifted toward playing shorter, more pop-oriented songs. They had a lot of mainstream success in the 1980s, which also is when Phil became a massively successful solo artist. (Despite they, he stuck with the band into the 1990s.) Some of the old-school Genesis fans blame Phil for the band “selling out,” but I disagree. To survive in the music industry at the time, bands had to shift to what would be played on the radio. And even some of Genesis’ biggest hits had prog elements; they certainly didn’t sound like other pop tunes of the time. And even their most mainstream albums still had some nods to their prog roots. From that period, I recommend Mama, Home By the Sea 1 and 2 (two separate tracks, but meant to be a single song), Abacab, Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, and Fading Lights. (Look for live versions on TH-cam. You won’t be disappointed.) For more pop-oriented songs, try That’s All, Misunderstanding, and Invisible Touch. I also recommend you watch the music video for Land of Confusion, which is just 1980s insanity.

I had heard that even Robert Plant thought Cummings had the best voice he ever heard, and that's gotta tell you something. In my opinion , he has one of the best rock voices I ever heard, and Burton and the Guess Who, should definitely be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Burton's voice is so clean, and he can hit all the high and low notes, with no problem.

This Song, I Know What I Like, was One of Five Songs, Recorded, for their Live, Shepperton Studio (1973) Concert. (In the past Year, this Concert was Remastered to 4K). A Year Prior, Peter started sporting Costumes, as a Means towards, at first, as a "Front", to alleviate his then inherent Shyness. The Costumes, soon allowed, and became the Vehicles, for Song, to inhabit him, and thus to the Stories themselves.
