This is a great one to start with! The fact that it is rolled up make it easier to get it right. Also, it’s sort of organic in nature, so perfection is not important. Wonkiness just adds to its charm. 🙂

I was wondering, but not sure it would work… on different types of flowers, for instance like these in our emojis:🌸🌺, could you use the embossing powder (in contrasting color) in strategic places… like lightly dusted in the very center layer of the center circle, or perhaps the very outer layer of it, to represent those little stamens that those kind of flowers have? Or would the embossing powder be too unstable? I know, that was too long of a question 😂. But I’ve worked with both materials in many different ways, but never together, so I really don’t know. Thanks

This is just such a well made video. Thank you! I do have a question and I may have missed it but where did you get the half block of black? Did you use 1 and 1/2 blocks of the black for the skinner blend?

What a fun tutorial! A bunch of polymer clay artists are getting together to regularly meet, and choosing an online tutorial for us all to follow. It's always fun to see how a group of people can look at the same tutorial and come up with quite varied results! We chose this/your tutorial for our last adventure, and we're posting images of our results at the Facebook page 'Clay ConneCTion'. I just wanted to let you know now much we enjoyed it, and if you wanted to see the results of 8 or so people making this cane. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.
