Here's the Link to the video.

At 6:48 he mentions that they hired actors from which one is working on the The Hobbit releasing in 2012.Only actor who is working on the Hobbit and has voice acted in Playstation 3 Games is Andy Serkis. So i think he is the Beast!
Eric Laden is the Voice actor for Cole.

Im glad i grew up with this song in my childhood. Very nostalgic
playin this alongside rain sounds 👌
Papa de... go...meNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEI
Good Old Days
Imma piss of my fellow Yakuza fans with this hot take: This song on its own is much better than Sound of Breath. But its infinitely worse for Yakuza 2/Kiwami 2 in comparison with Sound of Breath because this song is distracting in game. This song, as glorious as it is, is so bombastic and loud, it actually distracts from the scene. And this may possibly just be my own skill issue, but this song made me more invested in the song than the scene of Kiryu being stabbed.
i think that’s kinda the point, to distract you
@@snxffys6436 Interesting theory. For what purpose is the distraction?
@@OneManCast from him getting stabbed. the stock stabbing sound in K2 ruined the shock value of the original having the music convey it. in 2 there’s a very subtle break in the rain when the man bumps into kiryu
this song goes so hard i don't even feel the knife in my stomach
The original will always be superior. The Sound of Breath was a horrible choice. I get they lost the license, but why couldn't RGG get a similar song? SIM just doesn't fit this scene, like they do with Pandemonium.

Still waiting for 1&2 HD on PC Sega… or at least an English rerelease.

This one fits more for OGs Yakuza and sound of braith fits the modern yakuza, but ngl this one is perfect with the era and story of 2/K2
A better song to listen to when you are wandering in the rain and somehow get stabbed lol
*this scene kiryu get stabbed*
Perfect song to listen to when roaming the streets of London
Hmm
Incredible band that plays an incredible song. Thanks for helping me discover them. This game's OST is just brilliant.
Kiwami 2's sins won't be forgiven
98% because the sins were quite literally unforgivable The other 2% being funny corpse physics
That's some heavy autotune!
I'd kill to hear Akiyama's VA sing this
And I’d die
Go stab Kiryu then
@@fifofuko1864 oh hey, he kills you and you die

@@cjsyblik3296 ...shit
my question is WHY DID KIWAMI 2 REMOVE THE BANGER OP FROM ORIGINAL
Rgg studio probably didn’t have the license to use this song anymore
Hmm
@@_ExtremeHispasat_ nice pfp
This song gives off jojo vibes idk why
First time listening: This is trash Sound of Breath is way better Third time listening: PAPA DE GOMEN NE~
Amazing
Both songs are great and give the scene two distinct atmospheres that are both enjoyable. No excuse for the knife sound, though.
le enlightened centrist take
I prefer the rock song cause it fits my tastes more but it's way too angsty for Kiryu and his more stoic way of dealing with his pain here, he's swallowing his emotions and brooding in the rain pretending it's not as bad as he feels, it's how blues has generally upbeat tunes with sad vocals behind those tunes. The rock song is way too on the nose and sounds like it should be for some more youthful and more emotional late teen/young adult character who's still learning how to deal with problems like this. Basically, cool song but it completely ruins the mood and takes it in a laughable tone because it just does not work for the type of man Kiryu is.
@@Crowens This song is distracting. I'm never thinking about Kiryu or his stabbing when this song plays. I'm thinking "Man this song is so f***ing great!" that I end up forgetting that there's a plot the song is supposed to compliment.
Played both kiwami and original. Whether it's remaked or not, they're still masterpiece.
Real chads enjoy both songs.
Real chads doesn't defend a remake that actively make the original worse
@@quanha7490 real chads enjoy the remake it despite it’s flaws.
@@quanha7490 "wow, look at me I'm a hardcore Yakuza fan" Kiwami 2 has flaws but it's a very good remake. Go and play a game that is 20 years old for ps2 if you don't like a objectively good remake
@@matteoguala7267 Guess what, us chad PS2 Y2 fans play it on PS2 Simply cope at the fact that your remake removed the peak music
@@quanha7490 do you sound as cool to yourself when you realize you're just being rude to other people on the internet because of a song that got replaced in a video game when it was remade?
i wanna get stabbed to this song or im not attending the stabbing.
Sound of Breath was good for the scene where Kiryu and Kaoru kissed at the end and the scene where Majima sees Makoto Makimura again, but not for the scene where Kiryu gets stabbed. this was perfect for that scene.
I agree, but at the same time this song wouldn't fit Kiwami 2 since the soundtrack is so different. They'd have to rework the instrumental at least for it to not feel out of tone with the rest of the soundtrack. Kind of like what they did with Out Law's Lullaby.

@@austinj.decareaux8830 Absolutely not
@@austinj.decareaux8830 I don't know why everyone is disagreeing with you, it's literally the truth. Kiwami 2's soundtrack wouldn't fit Yakuza 2 and vice versa. Both games have completely different OSTs with different ideas.
I can't believe they chose Sound of Breath instead of this. who the fuck would choose reggae melody for yakuza game?
Not their fault they lost the license to this song
@@Ibrahim-wr5fs still couldve found a similar song or a song with the same vibe. Song choice is all on them.
epic
You guys know any songs that sound similar to this?
snake eater from MGS3 has the same feel in my opinion
@@velonian5154 you think so? Snake eater always felt more like a James Bond sort of song. I have no idea what it’s called but the way the lyrics work with the melody it has a very Japanese sort of vibe. Like if you’ve heard wario wares 4 seasons listen to the way that sounds, it’s like that.

Anybody know what key this song is in?
This song goes far better with that scene. The new one didn't fit Kiryu's character at all.
I like the new song, and it also feels appropriate for a game set in 2006, lol. But I also really like the Cowboy Bebop vibe this song gives to the scene, although I never played the original Yakuza 2.
@@bluefrenk1750 The song may fit the time period, but it does nothing but harm to the original scenes tone and atmosphere. Making Kiryu in the rain look like a joke in comparison
It's the knife sound effect that killed the scene for me
Tbh, I find that this song fits the rain scene in Chapter 12, while the new song fits the scene after the final boss. Then again, I love both Crazy Ken Band and SiM so I may be biased. I think we can all agree that the stab sound effect was completely unnecessary and a shitty addition though.
